Hi Allen 👋 I can say my Mama did make ocra when I was home growing up. I’ve not made myself. I have eaten Soul Food in some restaurants on the Southside of Chicago as well as Buddy Guy Legends. Now for the biscuits .. I wish I had been sitting there sharing in such delight 🙌 ! I Know those would be De-lish!!! Lucky you! 🙂🙌

Rotary tiller race, L0L .
I really enjoyed this show! Thank you.
We always put small okra in our pinkeye peas
Growing up in the North, the closest we got to okra was gumbo soup. When I moved to the South where okra is plentiful, I had all kinds of fun. Here’s my favorite recipe for a "stewed" okra. Loved the show. Thanks for sharing!

Miss Evette’s Fried Chicken with the fresh herbs looks absolutely delicious! I love that she shared her seasoning blend. Will be incorporating this recipe into my next fried chicken adventure (just a bit intimidated by hot oil 😬🙂)!!
Loved the purple hill pea sisters banter/smacktalk!
I’ve always felt fortunate for being born and raised in the South….from New Orleans, and was exposed to many different cuisines, Soul Food, Creole, French, Italian, Greek…so many….I live in Northwest Louisiana now, and learned what is called country cooking also, which basically is a blend of Soul foods…..and my Mom was from Arkansas, so, I had the best of all worlds in food…..I cook them all, and Also Japanese, Chinese, and so many more…..I am an herbalist, so I grow many herbs, and vegetables, so, from farm to table is apprapo for me…loved the video, so interesting!!!! And new ideas!!! Thank you so much!
My parents both from the South, I am a multicultural cook. But nothing is better to me than Southern Cusine ! I just love all the wonderful blending of spices ! Awesome & delicious recipes !
