Tell me does kitchen appliances need be the same color? Ugly carpet child hood trauma (burnt orange brown carpet)…

  2. Gema on May 13, 2022 at 9:21 pm

I just recently moved and furnished almost my entire apartment from Facebook marketplace ahaha. I scrolled FOREVER every day for like a full month to find pieces I was looking for in the styles I liked. My faves are a gorgeous rug for $60 and my round coffee table for $20. In the end I spent under $500 for everything. I’m obsessed with how well it all came together for so cheap!!

  3. Nora Armenta on May 13, 2022 at 9:21 pm

Then I guess my apt looks like target 🤣😅😅😂😂
And I also don’t like Ikea I think their furniture looks so cheap

The only thing I like from Ikea is their refrigerator organizers or Tupperware… But furniture is crappy I remember when my son was a bby and I was looking for a crib , and let me say IKEA sales wooden cages not cribs .

Arvin, I realize you admitted in the very start of this video that not everyone can afford the best, especially when starting out. ( Student loans to pay, a new job or location, divorce, etc.). I felt like mentioning this after watching a video last night and then this one. If all you can afford is a Target cubbie unit and be happy with it to start, that is reasonable. I know little about IKEA as we don’t have one at all close to where I live. So I can’t speak of the quality of their products. Most people ( young) will move several times b4 they get their
" dream home " or appt. They will also grow in terms of what they like. Taste changes, just as our budget does. Yes, buy what you can afford and save up if possible for items you will treasure into the future. Be proud of what you do have and make no excuses.

I feel the same way about ikea lol

  24. twistedninja on May 13, 2022 at 9:48 pm

Hi Arvin! I love your shopping tips. Do you have any to freshen up the look of sofas and couches that tend to wilt after a while. I find that no matter where it’s from (cb2, article or the local outlet) or the $$$ they all start looking creasy and saggy. Please share any tips if u have

  25. CJ Senoj on May 13, 2022 at 9:48 pm

My favorite fb marketplace find was a $400+ office desk for $75 due to a chip in the wood during moving. Too bad it doesn’t fit in my space but I kept it for when I move into my new home in the future.

  26. Chrystal Bess Redding on May 13, 2022 at 9:50 pm

Hi Arvin! Thanks so sharing your personal take on decor. I’d say that my top best finds and buys on FB marketplace were my side lamps (vintage-like), two simple and cute night tables (for less than one hundred dollars) because the pieces were pre-used and I kind of changed the shade of the lamps and changed the stain on the tables. And at the thrift store, my top find was a vintage-like desk with a chair. Great quality and price. I got home and noticed that something was attached to one of the drawers, there was a medium-sized, gorgeous vanity mirror. And hiding in the side pocket was five magazines and a book. I brought those pieces to an appraiser, the items I found were worth at least more than what I paid for the furniture. I am never going to give it away. I love my finds and I know I will take care of them. Have a wonderful week Arvin.

Hey Arvin, thank for your Energy!
I love your necklace, where can I find it? 🙂

  33. E. Soup on May 13, 2022 at 9:54 pm

I feel like the best and most approachable idea for like a couch is try to find one cheap or free secondhand UNTIL you are able to save up for one you want to have a long time. Like people are broke and it’s sort of depressing to just not have a couch but that is where your advice comes in of not spending extra money on something temporary. But it’s hard to just not have a couch at all.
My current couch was found free at a curb, and the loveseat was free from my parents bc it had a big stain on it lol. We cover it with a throw. When I move into my new place it’s just me and my partner and we want nicer stuff, but …$$$$ … so those hand me downs are gonna come with while we look around and save for something that fits the best. And I mean, I’ll probably never buy from RH outlets bc that still feels expensive to me, but for me even saving up for a nice basic couch or a well-kept used couch is an upgrade to me.

My favourite fb market place was a solid 8 seater oak table for free!!! It had this terrible aqua blue paint on the legs that was all chipped so we sanded it all back and painted the legs white and stained the top, we got 8 chairs also for free and when we moved it wasn’t going to fit in the new place so we sold it for $1000

  35. Lisa Massott on May 13, 2022 at 9:59 pm

    I LOVE his energy!!

  36. Sabin Edwards on May 13, 2022 at 9:59 pm

My favorite FB Marketplace find was this dining chair from Pottery Barn. I’ve been eyeballing the chairs for months but for $250 per chair, I was like I’ll wait. And then a couple was moving and had the chair and was selling it for $50!!!!!! I’ve never typed so fast lol (and they never truly used the chair because they bought it as an accent chair, so the chair was brand new!!). I bought it and even paid for her to deliver it to me because it wouldn’t fit in my car. I use it as an accent chair for my master bedroom. I don’t remember the name of the chair, but that was the best find in my history of using FB Marketplace. Now the other things I’ve gotten I can say I never liked in the beginning, and now I’m switching it to buy the furniture pieces I actually wanted.

  37. Kt85 on May 13, 2022 at 10:00 pm

Sorry dude I don’t have money. Offer up got 2 loft beds for the kids for 50 (ikea). Funny thing pieces of hardware was miasing so had keep going to hardware store get something work but least we know it withstand the test if time now. Yeah I really want get rid of my coffee table too big it was free kinda like my stove was free and GE electric ring works well 😄 see I am super cheap ass.

Can’t agree with you more!! I’m moving into my first own empty apartment, and I decided to spend time and money to invest all furnitures I love. They might be a little bit pricey, but I know I’ll keep them for a long time. I will have good mood when I wake up every morning surrounded by those beautiful pieces! 💕

I find a bunch of my decorations from antique stores. Some old people mark up their stuff way too much but I’ve found so many nice things in antique stores including bookshelves, night stands, lamps, mirrors, clocks, and more:)
