    Me after studying: Because blue paint and yellow paint both reflect middle (green appearing) wavelengths

    Cross your eyes when the colors are unmixed. Some people can perceive an "unnatural" color, a yellowish blue/bluish yellow, which can’t exist by mixing colors because it turns to green.
