The way you yank your phone around, or zoom in and out real fast is ridiculous.

  2. Gregory Hodge on August 8, 2023 at 6:41 pm

    The air mattresses always suck.😢

  3. David Koivu on August 8, 2023 at 6:42 pm

Pool noodles are also good to make a nice cushion seat or pu on a 5 gallon bucket when being used as a outdoor toilet

    Good video

My local Walmart is a supercenter market and it looks nothing like this, our camping section has gone down to 1 aisle with little to nothing available! It really sux, in porter ranch, CA. Btw!

Never buy anything from Walmart with China name on it

  8. Ric Donato on August 8, 2023 at 6:45 pm

Wow, the bouncy camera was extremely annoying. Where do we focus? Also, you did not stay in a product long enough to see what you were suggesting.

Tents from Walmart are 3 season versions at best. Not always the best quality regardless of the name on it. I found a large Coleman tent on clearance and have used twice. So far it’s good. Sleeping bags, the ratings on them are ballpark. If your looking for something for 45 or so and above, sure. I prefer my 4 season military sleep system anytime over anything else. Tarps, definitely agree with them. The rest of the stuff, pay attention to what your buying and it’s intended uses and for how long. As for the shovel, I highly suggest the true military version. They can be picked up at surplus stores for under 25 and will definitely outlast the cheap Walmart versions. The mountain house meals are very bland. Definitely recommend picking up a small spice, salt, pepper etc for adding flavor to them. Most everything I have bought from Walmart has held up. I always try to buy items that serve multiple purposes there as well. Although it’s not possible with some things, plan ahead what will hold up ling term and buy those rather than some cheap good enough for now.

Sorry if the camera is a little unstable. You can’t really go into Walmart with a camera crew if you know what I mean. 🤫😎😂 Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to hit subscribe we got better videos than this one. 😉🤙🏽

Nice video. None of that stuff is top of the line, but a lot of your gear, especially if you’re just out camping for the weekend, doesn’t have to be. I do all different kinds of camping, from survival to travel trailer and in all of it, there is some Walmart stuff. Not a big fan of the Nextel air mattresses though.

Did you get permission to upload this? Wondering how to get it, to upload a video I did.

  14. Life of Joy on August 8, 2023 at 6:52 pm

Fyi, if someone is receiving ebt, they can purchase the Mountain House freeze dried food.
Found that out a couple years ago. Great to keep in a bug out bag with a few of your favorite spices. 😁

  15. YakAngling on August 8, 2023 at 6:53 pm

Got lots of gear here for my channel. Used the Tent I bought from there doing a river fishing/camp and cook!

  17. Crazynok55 on August 8, 2023 at 6:55 pm

After my triple bypass that basically ruined us , my wife and I became homeless and lived in a Walmart tent for almost a year and except for their cheap zippers , a tarp over top and we stayed warm and dry and believe it or not , till this day I still have every piece of gear we had from that humbling experience from 2015.

  18. Howard F on August 8, 2023 at 6:57 pm

Those battery pumps are straight trash they don’t work

  19. YCIGAFSN on August 8, 2023 at 6:57 pm

The walmarts near me don’t carry even ten percent of the selection you showed at your walmart.

  20. Dpuck Fishing and Outdoors on August 8, 2023 at 6:57 pm

Every time I go camping I add an additional tent peg or two from previous campers leaving it in the ground. I have enough pegs to set up Butning man. 😁

I love it. Camping gear at Walmart..he’s wearing a CABELAS HAT.

Not all Wally Worlds are the same. My local Wally World sucks.

  24. Martin Hafner on August 8, 2023 at 6:59 pm

The shepherd’s hook stakes (steel or aluminum) and the Y-stakes in aluminum are way too soft and weak for the rocky ground in Arizona.
The 10 inch steel "nail" stakes are the only ones that will hold up. Premium hardened aluminum Y-stakes like MSR Groundhogs will work, but I’ve never seen them in WM stores.

This ia a great content! Those sleeping pads are awesome.

  26. Moto Squid on August 8, 2023 at 7:05 pm

Thos water filter are good but they do not filter out viruses you can still get sick. They ones that do are like 80 to 100 bucks but very worth it imo. I like the greyl geopress you should check it out !

Just buy a grate and cook over the 🔥.

    China mart.

  29. Jesse Wallar on August 8, 2023 at 7:08 pm

Don’t know what walmart that was but I believe it’s in socal. I’m in norcal in Pittsburg in the sf bay area and your camping section blows any camping section up here away lol. Our section is maybe 2 small aisles and almost all behind glass unfortunately. Seems to be the standard up here also

  30. L G on August 8, 2023 at 7:10 pm

    My Walmart is a dump

  31. M on August 8, 2023 at 7:10 pm

Holy, the intro gave me motion sickness wtf

  32. Gary Katzenmaier on August 8, 2023 at 7:11 pm

    WALMART? LOL?

  33. Bill Ragland Sr on August 8, 2023 at 7:16 pm

    🤣

  34. Martin Hafner on August 8, 2023 at 7:18 pm

The hickory handled hatchet is also quite good. Pick one that has the grain parallel to the head. Also get a 2-way flat bastard (mower type) file from the hardware section because the hatchet needs the edge profiled and sharpened.

  35. America First on August 8, 2023 at 7:20 pm

Their Ozark Trail insulated shoulder bags are terrific.

  36. Melissa Billmire on August 8, 2023 at 7:20 pm

Not sure how long ago you both made this video. But I was a little disappointed that you didn’t mention some Orange color 550 Paracord.
And in my opinion those foldable sleeping pads are pretty uncomfortable to get a good nights sleep. At least my local Walmart store carries the Klymit brand Static-V sleeping pads and I actually use one of those foldable sleeping pads underneath it.

Though you both are right about one thing and that is tent size. For people who are just getting into camping and hiking. They should definitely get a good brand tent. That can sleep more people than actually needed.

Because that way they can put their personal items inside the tent with them and still have plenty of room.

Though the video seemed like you both were in a hurry to get threw the camping and hiking gear section at your local Walmart store.
I can definitely understand that you both were the camping and hiking gear section as fast as you could.
Because I’m sure Walmart would not appreciate a whole camera crew.

Walking around the store as you both were going through the camping and hiking gear section.

First off…some of these comments are the biggest reason I don’t start my own YouTube channel. Everyone is all of a sudden a video editing guru. I had zero problem watching this video. Didn’t notice what everyone is complaining about. To the ones quick to criticize…where is YOUR YouTube channel? I would love to see it. Secondly…the commenter saying not to support a Communist country…it’s a video about Walmart camping products. Relax. Not everything has to be a political statement. I personally love your videos guys! Keep ‘em coming!

    thanks.

Thank you for the advice, going camping soon

  43. Lewis on August 8, 2023 at 7:32 pm

I wish Walmart would carry the Life Straw water filters again. They were easier to store in a BOB. Be safe my friends.

  44. Steven Hall on August 8, 2023 at 7:33 pm

My Walmart has a very small camping section.

I would be very lucky to find all of this stuff.

I would have to go to several stores to find all this stuff.

  45. Anthony K Byars on August 8, 2023 at 7:33 pm

My opinion on the marshmallow skeers. Inside of spending money on those. Just get some metal clothes hangers from home. Unravel them and presto.

  46. Martin Hafner on August 8, 2023 at 7:35 pm

Most of the tents at WM have very questionable waterproofing. Buy 3-4 cans of the silicone spray that is generally near the tents. On the first setup (maybe in your back yard), soak the rainfly and any rain-bearing panels very thoroughly and it will give you a fighting chance. Repeat the treatment after drying if you have enough left. Make sure it dries very well before going inside. I’ve gone through this issue many times with new boy scouts and mention it because of the problems we have actually had keeping them dry.

  47. Ronald Rose on August 8, 2023 at 7:35 pm

Hello 👋 my outdoors friends, thank you for sharing this informative video. Walmart does have many cost saving, practical items for camping 🏕. Thank you, stay safe and healthy out there. 🤗 👋

  48. KITTY CATO on August 8, 2023 at 7:37 pm

This seems more of a WALMART COMMERCIAL. The trick is finding non camp items at Walmart. Ozark trail has some cool items but most is junk. Don’t buy thos camp shovels they break. Your better off going to army navy store that sells true military shovel for 30.00

  49. todd cunningham on August 8, 2023 at 7:38 pm

Those Ozark Trail folding shovels are garbage unless you’re digging at the beach, or just using it to stoke your fire. I found out the hard way, and ended up with a folding hoe. I was just digging in regular moist soil, and it bent right in the middle of the spade head on the first dig.
