It sort of scary that I can understand and connect with these random quotes from a mad man who took his own life and was ignored by the entire world until after his death!!! If this guy was born anytime after 1900 he would have had a much different life. His sorry is weird. Comes from a wealthy trading family from the Netherlands and was looked down on by family for failing to fit the mold they cast for him… He has the last word though. None of us have herd of their business exploits but, we have all seen what the black sheep of the family can do with oil paints!

A man who obsessed over a woman to a point where he was willing to give up a part of himself. A man who speaks so highly of love.

Although he ended his own life, whenever I see his painting I want to live. To me, only his paintings have justifiable price tags.

What would life be. If we had no courage to attempt anything? Living it. Its empty but full. Its loud but silent. My lack of courage has me seeing both the light and the dark.. neither with any spectacular colors. Been trying to break this melancholic cycle.. kick me in the ass and tell me its time to move along. Theres nothing to be apart of here..
