So what did you do to the "huge" gap on the left side of the wall, which obviously wasn’t straight?

I’d like to ask if it’s true, that if I were to use LVP for a kitchen backsplash, the thinner the better, and if the kind that has flush edges all around is also safe from water, vapor etc. Is PL Premium glue a pressure sensitive one?

I’ve been researching affordable idea for kitchen backsplash to compliment my rustic farmhouse home décor theme, as it is an open concept kitchen which is in the center of the living & dinning room. A distressed wood plank, in multi color was the perfect way to get all colors to blend in at fairly affordable price.

A word of caution. My wall looked straight and flat as well but there were high and low spots. Nothing you would notice just looking at it. Seeing them would take holding a straight edge up. Used the recommended flooring, glue and tape. Looked ok when going up. After about 4-6 ft of wall was put up the section that I started on started pulling away from the wall. Broke down and started using a brad nailer, problem solved. Also found that a saber saw worked well for cutting out plug holes and fine trimming (used a course wood blade without issue).

I have a bathroom that is odd shaped. No pre-made surround wall fits. Can I use waterproof vinyl planking on the walls surrounding the tub/shower?
