Abandoned House Abandoned Mansion Urbex Exploring
No parece que esas habitaciones fuera para niños, ya que toda la ropa que se ve es de adultos, hasta los zapatos,
максимум лет 20 назад покинули дом, там видны энергосберегающие лампы и чай липтон в пакетиках
Yes. I grew up in a 100 year old house in California and when we went to repaper the wall we found newspapers behind the paper for insulation. My Father got excited because it was talking about the assassination of the President and he thought it was Lincoln so he pealed it off carefully. But it was only McKinley.
It’s a shame he has a partner
The roof held up real good…no rain getting in like normal on these older houses that have been left behind…
In those times, ordinary people didn’t have bathrooms. From their wedding in 1962 until 1969, my parents lived in a rented flat, that had just the kitchensink for washing facilities, with an outhouse shared by the other residents of the house also as the only toilet. For the night, you had the chamberpot. I still used one till the age of 14 when staying overnight with my Grandmother, as she had a very small bathroom attached to house in the early 1970s, but it was too cold to go there in the night.
What you thought was a washing machine is actually a honey extractor, where you put the honeycomb in, then it is spun to get the honey out.
Finally, I have noted several times in your videos that you are not familiar with the several kinds of needlework. What you called the wife’s knitting things, is actually a sewing kit , that you use for sewing or mending clothes by hand rather than with a sewing machine. Knitting takes two or mor bigger needles and is mostly used to make knitted jumpers or cardigans. Crochet is made with a single needle with a hook, you would make a kind of lace placemat called doily, or borders for tablecloths or bedcovers. Finally there is embroidery, which can be divided in many forms of stiching. You would use embroidery on cushions, tablecloths, clothing, but also for pictures or tapestries.
That was totally awesome
The chamber pot in the adult bedroom is the bathroom.
❤❤❤
Hi Lesley, the item you call washing machine in the bedroom is actually used to spin the honey. Lovely to go back in time. Your excitement in going into these abandoned house is catching. Thank you 🌻
This was beautiful 😍 to see because they were just average people who worked hard for a living and they didn’t have much but I bet they were very grateful for what they did have ,this is a favorite of mine and old as me ,I’m 66
I believe that the owners of this house must have abandoned it hastily and violently, judging by the various objects inside, the way they are.
second thought is that the daughter’s husband must have lived a tragic and violent death!! and she in turn died out of great sadness… her parents grew old, died and the house was abandoned.
The US President in Summer of 1951 officially requested from US Congress to declare the the USA is no longer at War with Germany. So maybe they moved to he US or somewhere else. No doubt border patrol and passports were very much used throughout Europe prior to the formation of European Union. Most children after WW2 want to travel. Travel and tourist was very big before 2020.
The toilet bowl looks like Ollie of Jolly’s 200 year old toilet!!!
Hi Lesley! I think this place was abandoned less than 70 years ago. I see that some electrical furniture looks modern than 50’s – rectangular and sharp-edged. Also, vacuum cleaner looks like from 60’s. But six decades, I think, is enough long time too.
In the room with the honey containers that was the honey extractor not a washing machine
An amazing presentation of a time capsule locked in time! Wow!
E Italiano?
The "washing machine" is actually a machine to derive the honey!!!
фоторамки тоже не с 1951 года
Your careful placement to return the precious items to their original placement must greatly please the spirits—it is how they can exist, by the memory of the exact place each item occupied as it was when they died—every item composes, not only the memory that allows their sprits to continue onward, but these spirit’s spiritual bones. Jumble them all up by replacing them haphazardly and the spirits would no doubt begin to fade away. I love that you show them so much respect! You are so kind and empathetic. Let these spirits continue to rest in their memories and in those tiny precious items that give them life. ❤😊
Absolutely lovely!
That large porcelain pot is a chamber pot…🤗
A ‘honey pot’! No bathrooms!♥️
We look for years for antiques & you go into abandon places & boom there’s thousands of beautiful treasures. I love seeing them in their original used undisturbed state much better than viewing them for sale in an antique store. Really cool makes you feel like you’re that time & space.
Hi Lesley & 2 Friends, this from June12, 2022 now it is February 23, 2023 ) From Switzerland Abandoned Time Capsule
Wow 70 yrs but from 2022- 70 = 1952 Not 1951, I know you found a Booklet with that Year, but what was Funny…was when You
said Ancient Times from 1951, I was born in 1951 haha!! Back then farmers were too tired from getting up early & work the
fields to even watch TV, so they listened to the Radio! Farmers back then didn`t have toilets inside, had a Outhouse & didn`t have
Running Water, had a kitchen sink, but had to fill a bucket from the Well for water…to wash dishes & themselves!
I loved the clock!! As for stairs outside, they would not be closed in with a wall, open with stairs!
Those were 4 bedrooms, 1 for parents & 3 for children, & very Large Bedrooms, When I was little till I was 1966, I shared
the bedroom with my sister, it was Small!! You saw a Military Coat with what you say a Flute, we call it a Whistle!!
Wow, after reading comments those hiking boots, were Snow boots with the prongs on them!
Love the history of what you knew, but You say Costumes, but here it`s Clothes & Men had Suit Jackets!
I learned a lot from comments as well, Very Interesting!!
Thanks again, take care & stay safe!! Love from Central Illinois America 🥰😎💯❤
There is so many plastic in there! I don’t think it has been left 70 years ago, but since the ’80s!😄
Those chests are also called trunks , people also use to travel with them. I still have Daddy’s he was born in 1900.
One of my favorites so far. They lived so simple, I Love it.
Back in days here in north Sweden they yuse to put a one more window in front of the other windows when its gone a be winter.
I can tell this man doesn’t know that it’s a ink blooter so the ink drys, is it not???
So sad….
People would use anything they had to insulate the inside walls of the houses, paper’s, cardboard, materials and quilts. It was very cold inside the houses in wintertime, because houses didn’t used to have any type of insulation like we have today. I once saw an exploration of a really old house where there was used letters, envelopes, cardboard , bills and receipts and whatever was available to them . Those cabinets in bedrooms are called dressers or bureaus and the taller ones are called chests of drawers. The tall cabinets in bedrooms are called wardrobe’s to hang their clothes. I was raised in the 50’s and 60’s , we were extremely poor, my first wardrobe was a box that a refrigerator was shipped in that my daddy put a rod inside for my clothes to hang in. We didn’t have money to buy anything like that. In our house we had a small wood/ coal heater in our living room that connected to our kitchen that had a chimney and the heat from our heater in the living room heated our kitchen, no heat in the bedroom or the other 2 rooms at all. In winter we slept under 6-7 quilts that mama had sewn together herself. No insulation in our house and you could feel the cold coming inside of the cracks in the floors. No bathroom inside either you had to go outside to the toilet, at night we had what was called a chamber pot which was emptied at the toilet every morning and cleaned for the next night to used to go to the bathroom so we didn’t have to go outside during the night.
fascinante simplismente fascinante o meu deus daria tudo pra ver isso de perto mais talves impossivel 😥😞😞😞😓😓😓😓
the way of visual record is super – but the comments (historical and context, background) decrease too much. sure, content management is part of the business, but sadly, despite the production seems more professional, the content loose a lot by these really shallow comments (better only pointing visually details or no comments, than going for any historical or whatever assumptions and non-sense filling words).
so you guys have to go truth the Stargate? I see rests from pyra…. and rests of mamut trees. rsrs
On 37:05 is not a washingmachine but a honey extractor. (to get the honey from the honeycombs)
I believe jowesh family 👪 ❤️ they lived
On the time ⏲️
I love ur videos ♡ ,
thats not a washer its a honey extractor
Not even abandoned 70 years ago .. Transparent plastic egg carton and yellow plastic bag he found and that plastic vacum cleaner was not from in 1951 ! More like the 70s 80s.. There’s no way that it’s been abandoned for 70 years, there’s too much plastic stuff in it that reminded me of the 80s that plastic egg holder and matchboxes didn’t look old to me either in a kitchen the 1940 and 1950 match boxes were in a wooden box with rubbers on the side not just white paper boxes like in the 80-90 s I also noticed a plastic yellow beverage bottle on the floor in a corner of the room
Awsome
De "wasmachiene" ( minuut 35 en 39 ) in 2de slaapkamer boven is eigelijk een honing-slinger / zwierder / centrifige.voor 3 honingramen /raten.
Amazing home so much history of 70 years ago and so much left i loved it guys .
About the bathroom, you passed right over the chamber pot in the parents room. This brings back so many memories for me, as I born over 70 years ago. Thank you for this look back. My childhood home only eists in pictures now.
