Always check value of books before cutting them apart. Some can be worth more complete because they are getting rarer from people cutting them apart.

What happens if you think it’s vintage, but can’t find it on google

  6. Khass on March 1, 2023 at 5:55 am

Can you talk about auction vs buy it now ? I feel like the “amazonification” makes people want stuff now. But auctions get attention and bargain hunters feel like they can get something for less.

I have a giant poster probably 4 ft ×6ft that hung in Kmart in fort Smith Arkansas that advertises the Star wars trilogy release. I also have the aisle hanger that hung in the aisle at Kmart it has the same image the poster has. Do you think it’s worth anything? This Kmart went out of business a long time ago. I believe the poster has pictures of Darth Vader cp3o R2D2 and Yoda on it.

I constantly educate myself on vintage items and despite having grown up around a lot of antique items being collected by family members etc. It does help to educate yourself and study the market values of what things are going for. I was going to at least 3 estate sales a week finding tons of items which were overlooked that were of value. Pay attention to what people pass up. There are good items all around you. Great video!!!

Chris I want to let you know that you are so inspirational to me and my girlfriend to bring our eBay business to the next level. She just quit her full time job of 14 years to become a full time seller on eBay with me. I have forwarded so many videos of yours to watch and your videos have inspired her to take the leap of faith to transition with me to something better! The knowledge & information you bring together is priceless and you have changed our life forever! May The Increase of The Blessing be with you & your family forever. Thanks

Bayonets are against eBay policy, or anything that can attach on an assault rifle. Strange worded policy. But the DOD was primarily pulling listings.

I found a pile of old yearbooks in a "free" pile. One of them was from the Horace Mann School in NYC, and had the poet John (Jack) Kerouac in it. I got $880 on eBay.

  37. Laura on March 1, 2023 at 6:30 am

Hey professor!! I love your videos so much THANK YOU! Question- do any of the leather jackets violate Ebay’s guidelines? I’m extra cautious after watching your videos.. I feel like exotic animal leathers (Not like you would find that at a thrift store) would, but you never know. Thoughts?

  38. The Aussie Nurse Flipper. on March 1, 2023 at 6:30 am

Growing up in the 70s and 80s a friend had the whole Star wars collector dolls unopened. His dad purchase them and send them to him. As he hated his father, he didn’t touch them. When he was in early 20, drunk one night, pull out and pour petrol on them one by one setting them a light and chucking them off his balcony, I bet he kicking himself now. I worked with the old guy in the early 90s and he was a caretaker for festival Hall in Brisbane Australia. He told me how you got trick by young guy to give all his posters to him for free. He had a poster for every single show what came to festival, until it closed down. After given them away, he found out some were worth good money, I just wonder, price if them today.

If I have postcards from 1935 and I have multiples of the same card do I sell them together or sell them one at a time?

  42. Shawn Hall on March 1, 2023 at 6:38 am

I have so much of that stuff! I’m excited, to go through my storage and displays again with everything you’ve said replaying in the back of my mind. Thank you so much for your channel.

  43. chris72010 on March 1, 2023 at 6:40 am

Hello, I just found your channel and this post… @ 3:39 timestamp you mentioned a leather jacket with zippers on the cuffs and buckles around the back, or that style anyway. I totally have that black leather coat, pretty sure I bought it in the 80’s. I’ve got another that was given to me around 2010 that doesn’t have those attributes, instead of zippers it has laces at the cuffs. I haven’t listed either one for fear I can’t get their worth, hell a rare blue MINK coat I have listed won’t sell with it listed under $200. smh

  44. Asterix on March 1, 2023 at 6:40 am

You mentioned old records and dvds and cassettes. Old VHS tapes can also sell. You can get a lot of money for some old 70s horror and b-movie VHS tapes.

I have hundreds of daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, tintypes, and CDV’s. I’ve been collecting them for 10 years now. If I were to ever sell, this is definitely useful information to know. Thanks! I also have about 40 of the leather bound photo albums made for the CDV’s and tin types. They all have porcelain corner buttons and they are gorgeous. I would imagine these are hard to find as well.
