Those are all really great! You gained a subscriber with this video!
Cloudless Canyon is so a great state park.
Our North Georgia mountain vacation home is only 45 minutes from Helen. We love the Georgia mountains. Great video. We’ve been to all of those parks. We love Helton creek falls. It’sjust a few miles from our house. It’s a great spot to take a cool dip below the falls and let the waterfall pound on your back for a great massage. We can’t wait to move up permanently.
Awesome review, are any of the other parks pet friendly?
Thanks!
We have visited (but not camped at) Tallulah Gorge and Amicalola Falls. Both are amazing! Vogel, Cloudland, and Unicoi are all on our "must visit" list for the future. Hoping to camp at at least one of them this Fall!
We love Georgia state parks!
Thank you for your video! I love all of these and agree that Vogel is amazing. I would add Black Rock Mountain State park. It has amazing hiking and views, camping and cabins with views as well as fishing and biking.
Great video! And the scenery is gorgeous!
Sittons Gulch is a better hike than West Rim at Cloudland IMPO
You forgot Providence Canyon
Your videos are great! Thank you taking the time to make them with such good quality, beauty, and information.
I love the Appalachian Mountains and have visited all of your Top 5 parks, however one state park in Georgia that I have been to several times that deserves mention is Crooked River State Park near St. Marys, Georgia. The park is beautifully situated on the river and marshlands. There are some really spectacular sunsets to enjoy over the marsh framed with Spanish moss hanging from the trees. There is also a pond with a viewing blind that attracts many wetland birds. Some awesome trails, a nature center, and putt-putt golf, too. Cabins are also available to rent.
One of its best features is its close proximity to St Marys, a quaint, quiet little town which also happens to be where you can catch the passenger ferry to the pristine Cumberland Island National Seashore for the day. Spectacular dunes, miles of beach, live oak and palmetto forests, wild horses, and interesting historical ruins and other structures.
I kind of like Elijah Clark State Park
I grew up taking vacations to Vogel State Park..I have camped there and stayed in the cabins..It is a beautiful place.
White County is where I live. Glad you enjoyed it. I’m at all of them, except for C.C. a good bit. These videos are amazing. You have a new subscriber.
Ana Ruby Falls should be on the list!
There is lots of great parks below Atlanta in south Georgia and on Georgia coast!
👍🇬🇪👌
I am so glad I found your channel! I can easily tell how much you love the outdoors – but what really shines through, for me, is that I know how time consuming creating a video like this can be for y’all and I appreciate every second of effort. The beautiful footage and editing provides us with a real sense of what it could be like being there. Thank you for this video! As a new subscriber, I look forward to diggin’ through your great content!
We’ve always like FDR Park. I felt like this Video and ranking focuses on North Georgia parks only.
amicalola falls is the best one out of them all
How do you find out prices for state parks? I recently bought property in Georgia…I have just begun this adventure. Thank you!
Whenever I meet folks that want to find more stuff to do here in Georgia, I always recommend the beautiful state parks before touristy attractions. Most of my favorites are mentioned here(though I have not been to Vogel or Cloudland yet), but Fort Mountain SP is also a stunning place if you enjoy casual day hikes and majestic views.
I live in Georgia myself and I unfortunately never been to any of these. Need to see more of my state asap. Georgia is one of the prettiest states in the south, but I still wanna move anyway lol ( been here most of my life) But I will visit these spots asap
I agree that Georgia’s best state parks are all in the north. If you find yourself in the southern part of the state, Providence Canyon south of Columbus has some interesting and colorful rock formations, and Magnolia Springs south of Augusta has its namesake spring and Civil War history.
I’ve been to all of these – they’re all so fabulous, how do you rank one above another?
There is one near the heart of the Okefenokee swamp. Stephen C. Foster state park. You can rent cabins and Jon boats. The Swamp is incredible. Did a 3 day canoe trip there. Defiantly the most remote I have ever felt in GA. Loads of alligators!
We went to Tallulah for the full eclipse. What a beautiful place. AND we walked all the way down the steps. Plus back up 😂
Alice
These will be on my list. found Georgia State parks last year Crooked River was awesome. Planning on staying at Mistletoe lake this year.
Hey, can I use some of the footage? I love your work of Georgia!
All in North Georgia. Ive been to all except Cloudland Canyon, which is my next target, as well as Providence Canyon (not on the list)
I really enjoy your videos! I appreciate that you stop the music for the sound of the waterfalls. <3
Fort Mtn
Whats the name of that beautiful church near Amicalola?
Thank you! Thank you! I love my State of Georgia and have seen much but not nearly enough. Your videos are wonderful and I’d love to visit and camp at our State Parks and attractions.
Was Fort Mountain state park under consideration?
Sweetwater Creek though!!!
Thanks for the videos. They have been very helpful and wonderfully done. One area that I don’t believe I’ve heard you speak about at each park is whether there is cell service and/or internet available. I typically use my phone as a hotspot and have to stay connected. If you have any info regarding that at these 5 parks, I would appreciate hearing about it. thx.
Really helpful Video! Thank you for sharing!
Is Pet friendly?
We’re Tennesseans, but camp in GA quite a bit. Their rewards program is nice, we’ve gotten a few free nights from it. The least of the GA state parks was Florence Marina. Lovely lake, but the campground grounds needed work. We sat in a puddle when it rained and a good deal of the grounds just needed a ton of gravel to refresh the sites. Stinky fish house in the middle of the cg was an issue.
We liked Ft Mountain S.P., plus your list. Amicalolas cg didn’t look that appealing, it seemed cramped and overpriced to us, but the scenery was t-riff. Good vid.
Providence Canyon State Park down in South Georgia is beautiful as well!
Great video……Fort Mountain State Park is a contender for top 5…
THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL FOOTAGE. I LOVE FALL TIME OF THE YEAR AND THE MIRROR IMAGES IN THE LAKES. GREAT!!
How did Black Rock Mountain State Park not make your top 5? It’s the highest state park in Georgia with amazing sunrises and sunset views. Not for the faint of heart on bike riding and hiking, but so worth it! One of our favorites for sure!
Unico is the best.
So my wife and I have gone to all but 15 State parks and Historical Sites. I love all of the parks you mention. They are beautiful for sure. I would include some of the southern and Coastal parks. We just returned from Stephen Foster and that is a must for every Georgia lover! Georgia has amazing State parks. I would do a North of Macon top 5 and South of Macon top five. Great video and beautifully shot.
Beautiful! Are there any nice state parks closer to Savannah or southeast Georgia?
Zip lining!!!! WOW!!
Wow! Love this video
Good 411👍🏾
