I’d love to see more Swedish and Scandinavian decor videos!

  2. SaltieCat on January 2, 2023 at 2:57 am

    Chocolatey plum… oooh!

  3. ‫סביטקה שיפוץ ועיצוב הבית Svietka Rivilis‬‏‎ on January 2, 2023 at 2:59 am

Absolutely no to brown unless it’s chocolate

  4. Kristin Kone on January 2, 2023 at 2:59 am

Thank you for the great video! After years of being laughed at for my wooden antiques, and chocolate brown baseboards and plaster textured walls…I am back in style 😉 wishing everyone a peaceful New Year!

Another awesome video , I would love to see a video on how to decorate a tiny room , I am using a tiny room as an office but it also has a bed for guests to sleep in if anyone needs it, just hard to manage when the ceilings are slopped down, I live in RI so we get snow hence the reason for the odd shaped ceiling , however its annoying and I hit my head a lot LOL

  6. Justin06241974 on January 2, 2023 at 3:03 am

I would love to see the mixing of styles and how to incorporate them within a room or how to transition a different style from room to room in a cohesive way.

  7. Carmela Santana on January 2, 2023 at 3:03 am

I loved this video! I especially like the special effects you put in to highlight the feature you’re talking about (and the clown noise 🤣), I used to have a big house in the States, but now I’m in a small apartment in Europe, so I would like to see more content addressing smaller living spaces and how to remedy an unfortunate design issue (e.g., your console/rug/sofa is too big/small/off scale but you can’t get another one- what to do?) Thank you for the content- it’s very enjoyable!

  8. Kathryn Letchford on January 2, 2023 at 3:04 am

Finally, brown is being recognised, for the versatile, and warming colour that it has always been.
I prefer a brown palette any day, than Gray, which I find extremely depressing.

Happy New Year! I’m so fortunate to have discovered your channel because:
    1. You’re super knowledgeable
    2. Your videos are complex and well made
    3. You have great style and recommendations
    4. You’re hilarious!

I am building a new home with an open living space. I would love to see content on how to make a cohesive overall decor plan (woods tones, flooring, walls, furniture etc.) for an entire new home.

  10. Beth E on January 2, 2023 at 3:07 am

Thoughts on checker floors? Not just black and white. Thanks!❤

  11. MrWondrous on January 2, 2023 at 3:08 am

Your details will serve as promptfodder in the AI artworld, hastening the evolution of new designs and designers. I not only watched until the end; I paused, rewound, took notes, learned. To delight and inform is not a bad day’s work. Have a wondrous new year!

  12. Rachel Jacyszyn on January 2, 2023 at 3:08 am

Love your videos! Can you do a more indepth video on just how to layer lighting to create a warm and cozy home. I know you touched on this in a few videos but a really in depth one with lots of examples would be great. Another thing is fireplace design ideas would be helpful too. Also how to decorate a two story front entrance please!

  13. Sandy Bitter on January 2, 2023 at 3:08 am

Great content as usual! Thanks for all you do, happy new year. ❤️😊

  14. Travis Bigara on January 2, 2023 at 3:12 am

Hi Vivian , thanks for another year of great videos I have enjoyed all of your content. I would love to see your take on modernizing a home in terms of technology and integration of appliances such as TV’s. Thank you and all the best for the new year.

Love a lot of these trends. I would like to see kitchen and bathroom trends and design. How to pair cabinets, flooring and wall colors.

  16. Filly3 on January 2, 2023 at 3:14 am

My husband and I knew that one day our eclectic accumulation (50+ years worth) of vintage and antique wood furniture pieces would be "back in", so we continued to love them despite our home not looking "trendy". We avoid trends at all costs because we like classic and traditional and because all of those "trendy looks" NEVER LAST. Retailers do not want "trends" to last because their business is selling furniture; interior designers are in the redecorating business and need people into "trendy" to hire them to redecorate! We don’t care about trends at all, but we DO KNOW what WE like and we LOVE OUR WOOD FURNITURE!

  17. Mariam Mariam on January 2, 2023 at 3:14 am

    I love your trend videos!

  18. Alla Pshichenko on January 2, 2023 at 3:15 am

I Iove your content as is. Keep doing the same. You and Nick Lewis are my top two interior design YouTubers.

  19. Zapporah on January 2, 2023 at 3:16 am

Content I want to see: how do you decorate with hobbies? Especially if one of them is collecting things. A lot of my friend have anime statues and stuff but they look… Tacky. I don’t know if it’s possible to make it not so 🤣

  20. Harmony on January 2, 2023 at 3:18 am

Oh dear, these trends are better left where they originated …. back in the 70s/ 80s. Who is deciding what trends should be? The trend I like is the one where my surroundings appeal to me. Thanks for the video though Vivian.

  21. vaderladyl on January 2, 2023 at 3:18 am

I love brown. Such a soothing color to me I am happy to see traditional with an updated touch in the forefront of mainstream interior decor once again, and seeing things that had always been around as timeless pieces still going strong in designs.

  22. OCEAN OF FOXES on January 2, 2023 at 3:19 am

    I’d gladly watch more:
    1. About psychology in design but from a practical point of view, no theory because it’s not always applicable.
    2. How to make an audit of your home space, take a look with fresh eyes and determine what you should get rid of, replace or add, to get a perfect balance. I’m really struggling with it because although I’m a visual artist and I have a lot of ideas, sometimes I get mixed feelings about my space but I can’t really see what’s wrong… because I’m living here everyday and I would have to analyze it very consciously, I’m literally blind of any errors. I suspect it might be something with textures or/and quantity of different elements. You could tell us how to use 60-30-10 rule and if there are similar guidelines for other things like textures, light, scales etc.

  23. OCEAN OF FOXES on January 2, 2023 at 3:21 am

I’ve been looking for wallpaper borders to use inside my windows reveals and it’s been a nightmare. Really looking forward for the trend of using decors. And the traditional vibes because I have a victorian like home and it’s extremely hard to find anything online. Waiting these 3 years till the trends come to my country 😀

  24. Mootmoot Mootmoot on January 2, 2023 at 3:21 am

That raspberry color is nasty …. How to say ur a cat lady without saying ur a cat lady 😂

  25. Jim Boland on January 2, 2023 at 3:22 am

I was in a $ 5 million home last night. This party was incredible with a band, catered and wine. Though the man who owns this beautiful mansion complete with an elevator. It wasn’t family friendly . It had too much glass art and sculptures
This website helps me create a beautiful home . I may not live in a 10,000 square feet home but it looks just as classy . .

  26. Angela Berenstein on January 2, 2023 at 3:23 am

I’d like to know more about California coastal decor

  27. Robert James - Life on January 2, 2023 at 3:24 am

Never been a fan of reed or pharmacy glass on cabinet doors, it shows too much clutter.

  28. STR LL on January 2, 2023 at 3:24 am

Happy New Year!!! All the very best. Thank you so much.

  29. Pat Wilkinson on January 2, 2023 at 3:27 am

Happy New Year! Love your content and looking forward to all your videos in 2023! 🎉🍾

  30. Amy Good on January 2, 2023 at 3:27 am

Hi Vivien, thanks for sharing your professional view on interior design in 2023. There are so many pointers I can take to upgrade my home in this video. I particularly like the depression glass. I think glass/dinnerware can really make a difference in the home without having to change up in a large scale (crown molding, furniture decor etc). Thanks for your tips! I really enjoyed your video ❤️

  31. Key Lime on January 2, 2023 at 3:36 am

Decorative toe kicks I’ve not seen, but interesting. Love reed glass and wood trends!

  32. Kaye Zelinski on January 2, 2023 at 3:37 am

Love your show! I would love to learn about designing for small spaces. We live in a cape cod built in 1942. Also would love to learn about kitchens. 😊

  33. Alex Marchant on January 2, 2023 at 3:39 am

Would you please do a video on designing for dark spaces? I get basically no direct sunlight in my home. I love the dark moody colors but I’m worried it will make my home feel even more like a cave than it already does. Any thoughts you’d have on a situation like mine would be greatly appreciated. ❤

  34. Morning Marie on January 2, 2023 at 3:42 am

Maybe a spotlight on truly unique home/room designs

  35. Tina Bu on January 2, 2023 at 3:42 am

love your videos! i know it may be a little more work to make but would love to see some projects that you do at home, DIY, decor changes, etc. happy new year!

  36. Maia Heiss on January 2, 2023 at 3:43 am

The sound effects with the photos sliding in 🙉

  37. Heidi Bay on January 2, 2023 at 3:43 am

Please make more of the same content and remenber us who rent. Thank you for your videos and happy new year.

  38. Pamela B on January 2, 2023 at 3:43 am

After I got rid of all Depression glass……🙄

  39. Tim Riehl on January 2, 2023 at 3:44 am

To me, a "trend" is what many homeowners are actually drawn to or are doing; "trends" in decorating seem to be more about what companies/corporations want to push for a certain year. I have an aversion to being told what the color of the year is; would much rather see new colors promoted while letting consumers decide what they want–new or old. This whole trend thing seems to be more about fast decor and making us feel like we have to redecorate every five years or so in order to not appear dated. I like looking at these programs to train my eye; not to avoid being dated. I would love to see more content on functionality, easy ways to hide cables and cords, best types of kitchen counters, how to work with a very small entrance, types of carpeting, mixing styles, how to make a loft area seem like an extension of a living area, and electric fireplaces-Thanks!

  40. HL on January 2, 2023 at 3:44 am

Thank you for the 2023 input on decor. This video reassures my own years long style of color and decor, and I agree with your thoughts on why and who picks the paint colors each year. While I do love seeing the upcoming trends, and adore the homes of friends and family who follow and change annually, I typically stick to what comforts me in my own home with only a few trendy additions.

  41. Jennifer Freitas on January 2, 2023 at 3:46 am

I would absolutely love to hear more about TIMELESS decor and paint colors. I’d def come back to that kind of a video for reference over and over again.

  42. Sherri Howe on January 2, 2023 at 3:46 am

I enjoy the color brown also and have some chocolate brown furniture- I would love if you would give us some suggestions for coordinating colors for the color brown and other trending colors – how to put it all together ❤ thank you for you videos and the great content you deliver!

  43. Jayne Durling on January 2, 2023 at 3:46 am

I lived through the brown and dark red wall decade so don’t think I could go there again but everyone should try it once. I painted my interior ‘classic gray’ and when one of my contractors came through my house, he said it looked like drywall haha, but it’s still my favourite colour. Great content on your videos.

  45. Jane Smith on January 2, 2023 at 3:49 am

Happy New Year and all the best for 2023 to everyone 💜from Northern Germany.
Those trends are all a total no go, when I think about our smaller spaces and long dark winters. Hence I also prefer a clean , uncluttered, minimalist design with a bit of sustainable Wabi Sabi. Moreover I love the focus on the outside (for those who are lucky enough to live in nature) and hence love Japandi and Scandi interiors as well as lots of plants (even the fake version for those that travel a lot for work ;-)).

  46. Eshqa on January 2, 2023 at 3:50 am

    👏👏👏

  47. Figaro on January 2, 2023 at 3:51 am

I enjoy your videos, Vivian! I would like to see content about styling my home for connection (with friends, family and nature) happiness, cosiness and well -being through good design and natural materials, all the better if renter friendly tips. In a word : Hygge-rific!! Anyway. Thanks for asking for what content we’d like to see, at very least!

  48. Powell Lane on January 2, 2023 at 3:52 am

I’ve watched other "trend" videos and I can say with total conviction that your presentations are far superior. I appreciate that you do not just read off a list of items but also provide ancillary information that explains the how and the why. You are very generous with your expertise. I appreciate that and all the hard work that goes into creating these wonderful infotorials! Wishing all the best to you and yours in the new year and to all the members of the <<Posh>> community that you have created! Brava ! xo

Big renovation this year of my condo on the beach. Could you do a video on the new, trending coastal/modern look?
