Shhhh!! Don’t tell all the secrets about Vintage. I want it for myself πŸ˜‰πŸ’—

Hey dear! You are doing a very nice job, all tips are very useful and videos are interesting to watch. A special request for me – could you maybe make a video with tips on how to create a timeless interior? Trends switch so fast, without any care for environment or our budgets πŸ™‚

I was so happy to hear this 5:57 as I’ve been touting it forever. Never did I get into the chalk painted furniture trend. I need to have warm wood grains in our home.

    Great video! Thank you!

Ever since finding out I’m 51.9% Scandinavian..I’ve been redoing our home in that style. De-cluttered, bright, natural tones/textures & open. I love it! 😍 It’s really helped with our Canadian long dark winters. I just painted our kitchen cupboards glossy bright white. Then installed silver handle hardware before doing a Diamond Dust Epoxy over white countertops/kitchen island. It adds that touch of sparkle like fresh snow. I have light grey hardware floors, the colour light sand on the walls & sheer curtains. It’s beautiful, light & airy. I also have a vintage yellow rose wallpaper coming to add a touch of colour to the backsplash & honey suckle scented wax cubes to fill the air πŸ’—

  8. Natugrafia on March 31, 2022 at 6:29 pm

I really enjoy the way you presented this topic and how much understanding you have and share about how the masses behavior/preferences translates into interior design. I feel absolutely represented by this trends, which I advocated for long before the pandemic. I’m happy they ARE a trend now, since its very interesting to see how people I know come up with cool pieces out of flea markets, second hand shops or just finding solutions with re-claimed materials…there is a lot of awareness of how our surroundings affect us now, and also a leap in creativity. LOVE it!

Where did you get your sweater?!

  10. Kevin Daniels on March 31, 2022 at 6:29 pm

I love the wallpaper that has chalky Blue and white and I found it at "Brown & Gram".

  11. Nayda Klein on March 31, 2022 at 6:30 pm

Nope. Trend is created by the industries to keep making money and trashing the planet… having said that, let’s go to the trends, shall we?

  12. le th on March 31, 2022 at 6:31 pm

Why are we still talking about "trends" anyway? Trends are so ephemeral….wasteful….approval-seeking.

How about people be less dependent on the need for approval from others? (read: less narcissistic).

How about people having a home that works for them? How about developing your *own* sense of style?

How about telling paint companies that they DO NOT need to tell us what "the color of the year" is? How about we show paint companies DISDAIN for their entitlement to believe they are the arbeiters of what is "on trend".

The hubris it must require to delusionally believe that you know better than someone else what their needs, life, and wants require. That is a special kind of narcissistic pathology, that’s for certain.

Good advice; avoid trends. You’ll never keep up and don’t let social media or big corporations tell you how your house should look. It’s the fastest way to kill a room.

  19. Lupita Mercado on March 31, 2022 at 6:35 pm

I love having a define wall in the kitchen. One one gets to see my dirty dishes from the livingroom! Lol

  20. Anaphiel on March 31, 2022 at 6:36 pm

Plus we’re tired of MDF mass produces pieces that fall apart and look cheap to begin with. Vintage means real wood and quality that lasts. Unique pieces that have character.

  21. Fabiola Alba on March 31, 2022 at 6:38 pm

I like the green the most as a new color. I live in a pent house apartment, but you don’t talk about apartments. The outside we don’t all have it. Trends don’t define us all.

Loved that ending about everything that inspires us like the trends that came before us and everything around us and meshing that into our own homes.

  30. Michele Moore on March 31, 2022 at 6:50 pm

    Fantastic information!!! Thank you!

  31. Sugoi Harris on March 31, 2022 at 6:50 pm

I hate when vintage and thrifting become trendy. I have to work harder to get the good stuff. πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ On the other hand, my house becomes a bit more trendy without me doing anything new. Also good to know that bold wallpaper I fell in love with at the home improvement thrift store will be on trend.

  32. Olivera K on March 31, 2022 at 6:51 pm

Thank you for a wonderful video!

  33. Paula Kean on March 31, 2022 at 6:51 pm

Aubergine…finally. I have gorgeous Stressless chairs coming this month

  34. Time And Place on March 31, 2022 at 6:53 pm

Agree, wood floors are so calming. Love them.

  35. William Stuller on March 31, 2022 at 6:54 pm

I disagree, there is a huge move towards defined rooms, walls are going back up as we are spending so much time together now. People want real privacy not a nook in an open floor plan, more wall space gives more decorating opportunities.

  36. simple4kill on March 31, 2022 at 6:54 pm

I’m surprised to see that I like majority of these trends. I don’t necessarily want to be ‘trendy’ but it’ll make shopping for things I actually love much more accessible!

  37. Balu Tanedo on March 31, 2022 at 6:56 pm

I agrre tha seeing teh natural grain of woods is uplifting!

  38. Annette Baker on March 31, 2022 at 6:58 pm

Sustainability is not a trend, antiques are not a trend. Balance and intentional design are not a trend. Great video!

I love a lot of things

  40. Victoria Sagraves on March 31, 2022 at 7:00 pm

Be smart take on todays living trends & true. I have some of that in my own home, the mish-mash! I prefer a more decluttered stream line room of comfort. I love color in a room using drapes, to define my space & preference. All neutral space does not agree w/ me. I like sprinkles of color. So, I am glad that color is still on trend, along with paint. Thank you! I enjoy your thoughts & experience of what you are seeing & how to use the trends & mish-mash.

Vintage has charm and often is better quality. Adds little charm to your home . A few pieces will had a touch of elegance

  46. Maria Welling on March 31, 2022 at 7:10 pm

I’ve added classic vintage furniture for years to my home, incorporated some pieces of organic modern elements to my space.. I love the flow of Japanese designs which provides me with tranquility.

  47. Jenny E N on March 31, 2022 at 7:11 pm

I’ve always loved these styles and if they become the shabby chic/farm house of 2022, I’m gonna pull my hair out πŸ₯²

  48. Jasmin Blake on March 31, 2022 at 7:11 pm

Thanks for the advice re paint trends, I’m about to redo our master bedroom and I am hoping I get the colours right. Not sure about wall art or having a focal wall behind the bed head

  49. Mary Lutkenhaus on March 31, 2022 at 7:19 pm

Isn’t it hard to nap on, and uncomfortable to on, curved sofas and chairs?

  50. Younique Boutique on March 31, 2022 at 7:20 pm
