Wow just when I got rid of all that stuff to go modern and semi minimalist šŸ˜¢

  2. Heather Edgington on February 6, 2023 at 6:10 am

I am soo excited! Very over all the Grey! Plus Iā€™ve always loved the French country style.

  3. Snowflake says... on February 6, 2023 at 6:11 am

Personally I love a cross between country cozy English without clutter and maximalism, that just feels a kneejerk reaction of the pendulum away from the ultra modern cleanlines. I love splashes of boldness in with a muted palate of soft blues, creams and greens against a backdrop of pale walls. Big cozy cushions, bold oversized flower or landscape paintings.

But no clutter…for me I still need a balance.

  4. Bijou Noir on February 6, 2023 at 6:12 am

I’m all for the French chateau style. It’s classic and has stood the test of time. Thank you for this and all your amazing content.

  5. Snowflake says... on February 6, 2023 at 6:16 am

What a lovely episode, I especially enjoyed the transition examples. I think we are all looking for comfort, to be surrounded by family tradition and associations with memories, not so surprising after a rough few years including the tough times we find ourselves in now …

  6. Natalie Diaz-Ruiz on February 6, 2023 at 6:16 am

I appreciate your Channel so much! Thank you for your decor wisdom

  7. Angie Norman on February 6, 2023 at 6:16 am

I have ā€œtolerated a Queen Anne ding table, chairs and hutch because to get rid of it seemed such a waste, couldnā€™t afford to replace it and perfectly fit our large family at the holidays. I tried to camouflage it or pretend it wasnā€™t there over several seasons of decor styles. At last I can enjoy enjoy it and not be concerned about trends!

  8. Pam McCasland on February 6, 2023 at 6:21 am

Freaking me out, maybe for you young gals itā€™s OK but for us more mature gals, itā€™ll make us look datedā€¦ Lol šŸ˜‚

  9. Dominican Stylist on February 6, 2023 at 6:21 am

I am minimalist, but tired of white and grey. I feel free now that colors are back! šŸ˜ƒ

  10. Michelle G. on February 6, 2023 at 6:22 am

I am loving this new look itā€™s always been my favorite and so classic. Traditional decor is finally back in and my home calls for it and I am sooooo excited to finally see it comeback around. For me the modern white and sleek look has never been my thing and I am so happy

  11. W K on February 6, 2023 at 6:24 am

Iā€™m SO obsessed with the dark academia, elegant, sophisticated style. Growing up I couldnā€™t stand this look, funnily enough. I recently started working at my stateā€™s Capitol building and fell in love with its rich, ornate feel. This is such a refreshing change from the gray and white neutral that dominated for years (which i also loved for some time)!

I also love a beautiful neutral home, so Iā€™ve been going for more of the California Casual aesthetic! Itā€™s characterized by light, airy neutrals combined with vintage pieces like aged brass, washed out navy, plum, and wine, and varied wood tones that result in a home that feels tidy and cozy at the same time.

  12. Bethany McDonnell on February 6, 2023 at 6:24 am

I am so excited for your 2023 videos! I love French country and English country… love the classic styles and pops of muted colors. All neutrals makes me feel sad. Need me some color and some vintage pieces. Shaking with excitement with ya!

  13. Johanne Austin on February 6, 2023 at 6:24 am

I am so happy to hear about this decor! Itā€™s time to think longevity and warm in a space.

  20. Sue Hendrixson on February 6, 2023 at 6:38 am

You made my year! Finally the styles I love are coming back! I love the warmth that these styles bring to design. Maybe my children will want some of my stuff now! šŸ˜‚

  21. Cathy Brady on February 6, 2023 at 6:39 am

  22. Melissa Patino on February 6, 2023 at 6:40 am

I’m so excited with you!šŸ¤— I’ve always loved the French and English country styles, timeless and classic styles that never tire with time.
I think following trends is wasteful. I look forward to your new approach to creating classic layered homes with timeless pieces we love that can stand the test of time in home decor.ā¤

    Neutral with muted colors šŸ„°

  29. RobinBird J on February 6, 2023 at 6:45 am

The thing many designers donā€™t discuss is moderation: if youā€™re going to go maximalist with number of furnishings and decor, go simpler with the lines and esp with the color. If youā€™re minimizing colors ā€”- like Valentina doesā€” you can add more things and layers because itā€™s not overdone already. If you go minimal with all neutrals, it can look lifeless (esp with gray and black or all white).
I live in a Vic with simpler, cleaner lined antiques but stay away from too many hard edges (eg Federal style pieces) and too much darkness and paint with white for walls; that means I can do rich wood tones and it looks best if I keep decor in the med to spare range. Dark colors and dark Vixtorian woods would can quickly look messy. A French chateau style in all pale blues and silvers will quickly look themed, so he thoughtful and throw in some fun or contrasting elements. Keep it light on the design side (more of a nod) and it will be much more beautiful.

  30. Klawo Klaw on February 6, 2023 at 6:46 am

How much shod one earn to have such big houses like on the picture and furniture of massiv wood. Which "averege" family in NYC can afford such a big house

  31. Suzannah Darcy on February 6, 2023 at 6:46 am

I’ve definitely been going for a "chateau-y" look for my new house, so this is great. I like mid-century modern, but it absolutely doesn’t work with my home’s architecture

  32. candy sheehan on February 6, 2023 at 6:46 am

I still have my French Country table I purchased from Ethan Allen 20+ years ago. I donā€™t care for the dark English Manor look but I love their formal landscapes. I like Classic and more French formal with some French Country.

  33. Faridah Haji Inanlou on February 6, 2023 at 6:46 am

"Timeless" – they want it to be acceptable for you to buy from your grandparents, avoid consuming because we have a supply chain issue!

  34. Deeanah Winders on February 6, 2023 at 6:46 am

Thank goodness Valentina! Iā€™ve been struggling to watch many interior designers videos as Iā€™ve felt theyā€™ve been wasteful and the opposite of what we should be doing in our homes. I loved your message at the end of your video. Iā€™m excited to see what you do and hope to see more sustainability, recycling, up cycling and encouraging people to find their own style and not buying the latest trash because it is in momentarily. Your best video yet IMO

  35. debra kirstein on February 6, 2023 at 6:48 am

    Love it!

  36. Clutching My Pearls on February 6, 2023 at 6:56 am

English and French country always feel warm and cozy.

  37. Cathy Amick on February 6, 2023 at 6:56 am

I Eusebius beiges and white long enough. I ready for a change.

  38. jennasaurus rex on February 6, 2023 at 6:57 am

I’ll always lean towards a Scandic-minimalist home style, but we added beautiful millwork trim on the tops and bottoms of our walls, as well as some fun corner pieces and it’s gorgeous. It adds interest without overwhelming the eye (to me). We should be incorporating beautiful trims, gorgeous wood doors and window frames, as well as built-ins and other architectural details where possible to enjoy in our homes.

  39. Deborah B. on February 6, 2023 at 6:58 am

Agree a walnut coffee table can be beautiful, but after a decade looking at the same thing gets boring. But, even during the recent minimalism trend, influencers show a million things we can buy. Imagine with a upcoming maximum trend, the encouragement to BUY, BUY, BUY will be an avalanche.

  40. Joanne Carrejo on February 6, 2023 at 6:58 am

Iā€™m still very much of a the less I have the better. How do I keep up without sacrificing my minimalist lifestyle?

  41. Larry Mayfield on February 6, 2023 at 6:59 am

    Finally, I am back baby!šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

  42. Margaret Daniel on February 6, 2023 at 7:00 am

I love classic European county styles. Thank you for providing the links to the photos you used on Pinterest.

  43. Lisa Waller-Gage on February 6, 2023 at 7:01 am

Valentina, you are always so cheerful and fun. I love your enthusiasm for all these things, and I love how you do your videos to describe the beautiful aesthetics of homes. I also love your travel and shopping videos.

  44. Virgie Rutledge on February 6, 2023 at 7:01 am

I had just settled with our master bed and bath. ho , hum. I just told hubby yesterday that I wanted some new paint, drapes, etc. He isn’t thrilled but did not say no. I have a Rice bed and dresser, etc. in cherry. Had it for 34 yrs. Not sure but I think I want to keep some of it. Should a person pick out the bedding first and then the paint?

  45. Carol L on February 6, 2023 at 7:02 am

I see the trend coming back with classic and traditional designs with sandblasted front and interior doors as seen on Blast Design Ltd. and replicating classic and timeless patterns and design into glass and mirrors. I love it šŸ„°

  46. WackyWardWoman on February 6, 2023 at 7:03 am

I love this! Itā€™s soooo me! I see all the brass in this style looking gorgeous! Yayyyy Iā€™m so happy! Now I see all that farmhouse style houses owners heads exploding! Iā€™m a much more traditional style so you just made this lady scream for joy. I waited it out and it payed off!! #winning

  47. Teeni Adal on February 6, 2023 at 7:03 am

I like the idea, some ornate lamps to decorate , Iā€™ll bring back some gold frames that were tucked away; we already have brown undertone wallsšŸ˜€thanks Valentina

    Hello! Great video

  49. J Laurelle on February 6, 2023 at 7:05 am

    Hello again beautiful lady!

  50. Janice S on February 6, 2023 at 7:05 am

I still enjoy the minimalist look but love the idea of mixing in more classic/traditional pieces to add more color, texture, and warmth to the space ā¤ @/lonefoxhome really does this well!!
