I believe the very best balance of comfort and true freedom comes from a Class B camper van. These are full RVs with all the comforts of home miniaturized so much they will fit in the space of a van. The problem with them is that they are also the most expensive of all RVs per square foot–new ones start at $100,000. For most of us, that means buying a used one. However, even used they are expensive because they are so popular and hold their value so well. It’s just a matter of luck and diligence searching for one you can afford.
Today we meet Bill who found a great deal on a used Dodge Horizon Camper van and he graciously allows us to take a look around.

Nice home with a view that he can change when he wants to!
I love that "we’re not in a beauty contest, your trying to live comfortably for you" that makes me feel even better about me saying my home is and will always be more function then beauty π . I like the color of wood tho π€£
Very practical.
* Luv RV tours – always fascinated w/set up, creative approach, execution
* Bob, U EXCEL in setting others @ ease, reassuring them that its their life, their choices.
Wonderful how he has designed a life of his own. He sounds pretty darn content and also happy to be exploring the west π
This seems like a good setup. A van tall enough to stand up in, something reliable too. I’m thinking maybe own a lot somewhere that you could home base on. Maybe I’ll get one of these and use it for camping first to get a feel of it.
I wish you have update videos of these awesome people…the older videos u have
is that guy a radio operator
Nice video. This is far more impressive than my set up, and sure informative.
Nice van set up… ready for anything
I love how much you just let people be themselves. You don’t judge and let them know that you welcome any of their ways of life. So refreshing Bob. Thank you for being on youtube.
cool van
That is some great space. Thanks Bill and Bob. Btw, I’m in Homosassa Springs.
Another awesome video! Makes me so want to be able to do this?
β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
That’s alotta stuff in a small space. Gotta watch that one again.
that’s a beautiful van! the bed looks super cute & comfy.
I’m sorry for asking a question here but my phone is old and temperamental . I’m having trouble getting on your forum . I’m about to get a new phone so that want be a problem much longer. I’m 55 years old and I make $930 a month through my disability I broke my back in 06 and was unable to stand up for long periods of time afterwards. Do you think I’ll have much trouble living on that 9:30 a month when I come out on the road with y’all.
Nice van. I was wondering how many classics you come across (Like 60’s and 70’s)? I see many newer rigs while I am on the road, but not many classic rigs. My ride is a 1974 Dodge Tradesman 200 MaxiVan and I love how easy it is to work on.
What a great van/home and an awesome philosophy you have Bill!!! I pray that I can do this one day soon. You are SO organized!.. Just perfect!πππ
Wow did u get a new camera? ??
How much solar would you need in order to use the microwave as well?
Hey bob…im looking for your interview of wicked stone………love all your videos…can you tell me where to look
What kind of insects?
Roaches? Bedbugs? Weevils? Gnats? Mosquitoes?
What did you have in mind in the interview?
How awesome, I’ve been waiting for this vid to come out.
I was in the Roadtrek that you caught a cpl times at the beginning of this vid.
It was the best hanging hanging out with Bill at the RTR.
Great vid Bob.
Bob be carful I got an odd feeling about him
Thanks for another great video!π Love the Boston Strong tee! π
Finally got on the road in my dodge xplorer 228..hope to see you soon.all the way from ocala florida
Have a Class B myself.
Is he saying SHORE or SURE POWER, and what is that?
I know this may seem odd to ask, but are there any young people going to the RTR? Bob’s been such an influence on me that I’d like to go when I start … I don’t necessarily want to be the only 13 year old looking girl there! Lol π Awesome van, I wish I could find one on the cheaper side though. It has good bones.
He’s got the life awesome
That van doesn’t feel like a van when inside.
Love it!β€
Nice set-up Bill. Love the way you utilize all your space –looks comfy too : )
So enjoy your reviews/interviews Bob. Such a non-threatening interview style. You inspire many people.
Love that Van!! β€
Very informative and helpful video! I interviewed full time RVer that share his experience on my last video you might like?
So nice of Bill to share his home and experience with us! I love how proud he is of his fishing poles. I love to fish! Another great interview Bob!
Freedom is the Way to Live!!π
Hi Bob what a Great Guy with a Great Van I enjoyed this video thank you for doing it
Neat guy. Livinβ the dream.
I love that Dodge! Very nice. I hope I can find me one ike that out here in Marion County Fl
Bill needs to go see Muley Point in Utah if he likes the landscape at the RTR. As people, age and family is raised and gone they really should consider trading up to a life of freedom and experiencing things instead of just watching the world go by until you die. I would rather fall off a cliff while hiking and die rather than lay in a hospital bed for 7 years like my stepfather.
Bill is a cool dude. I like Bill.
Tks Bob, another great video!! Hope to see you soon..
Man, that’s one nasty scar! I wonder what happened?
I’m 43 and can’t wait to retire at 55 and do this π will not work to my 70s if people can live on $600 a month why not thank you I always tell my friends about you π€ God bless ππ»
great space i really love what youve done with your space. be safe
What does it mean when a video is replaced with the following message, "This video has been removed by the user." I am seeing it quite often.
