I really looove this idea! That is so great! I want to try it, too, because we are renovating, but how do you transfer your real plan to the sims layout? Is one square in the sims also one square meters in real life? :/

In rl, I like having a real range hood that vents to the outside, it’s nice to make the neighbors hungry when I cook, I don’t use a microwave except to warm things occasionally and prefer a small one at counter level which makes it easy to get a hot cup of soup or coco out of, not sure how the craze of over the stove microwaves started but I’m sure it was by someone who doesn’t use a kitchen much.

Just randomly came across you while trying to roof my sims house and make it not look like garbage. Now I find out you live in the same city as me. Wack.

You could always do white for the cabinets around the wall and do your Island and green or vice versa or you could do two tone white on top and green on bottom I’ve got a two-tone kitchen of a charcoal cabinets top and white cabinets on bottom

Yeah, Kayla. This just as a part of a series to update on your life, outside of Sims. It gives people a sense of realism too, that they can relate to. So, it’s definitely not all bad. If there are those who don’t want that, they can just NOT watch. But I kinda like this bits where you share about the stuffs relating to your life. Quite endearing. You don’t have to share stuff you’re not comfortable to though, of course. Your master bedroom for example, I guess that can be your own personal thing if you want. ❤️💯 This is nice. A slice of life. Just nice.

Wrap your kitchenaid in heatproof vinyl if you think it’ll clash

You know what’s wired? I watch her to help me cope with the lack of sims in my life only to be sad I don’t have it. My brain probably stoped functioning years ago.

  20. Vanlynn on November 14, 2022 at 6:09 am

whoever designed my house did a terrible job with my pantry cabinet, its SO skinny like maybe 10 inches wide but its so DEEP I can put my whole arm in and theres still room its so weird so I dont even use it I was planning on getting a pantry cabinet.

  21. Haley Clore on November 14, 2022 at 6:10 am

Girl I’ve done NUMEROUS family members homes in my Sims 😅 Let them live in it and then update to what I would personally change lol

  22. lemqnshark on November 14, 2022 at 6:11 am

MICROWAVE ON TOP OF THE OVEN? WHAT??

  23. lauren collier on November 14, 2022 at 6:12 am

I enjoy watching this kind of content, really adds morr realism to the sims. However, maybe allow yourself to use cc with these builds cause lets be real cc creators are taking over the sims and you might actually find what youre looking for by using it! And always gives people the opportunity to discover more creators

Tiling advice! The vertical subway tiles are gorgeous. I love love love them! The only issue I see you coming across depends how tall your ceiling is. If it’s a tall room, and your cabinets are hung high enough, definitely go for the vertical tiles. They’ll draw the eye upwards. If you have shorter ceilings, or you’re planning to hang the cabinets lower, I’d caution against vertical tiles. Like i mentioned, they draw the eye upwards. If your eyes come to a hard stop at the bottom of a cabinet too soon, it could make the room feel too tight and claustrophobic.

you should get a chicken figure in the same shade as your kitchen aid lol

  27. Jason Cujas on November 14, 2022 at 6:14 am

Ur real life kitchen looks like my other house

  28. IdeaMaker on November 14, 2022 at 6:14 am

how is this describing my house 😳

  29. lily elizabeth on November 14, 2022 at 6:23 am

kayla missed the opportunity to call it KIT-chen aid

  30. Jess S on November 14, 2022 at 6:24 am

As someone with sage cabinets look at the color in the room in all lighting. It can look a bit khaki colored in daylight. I rent and all the cabinets throughout the house are sage green. The kitchen has a skylight and it looks like khaki pants. Just a heads up.

I myself have used the sims to help design two IRL houses. In college, I used The Sims 2 to help design my current house, that I have now lived in for 17 years. I have used The Sims 4 to design our next house (to escape further into the country since the city is coming out here). I agree that The Sims isn’t the most accurate software, but it is one of the more enjoyable ones to get ideas flowing. I actually printed a birds eye screenshot of this house in The Sims 2 and gave it to my contractor and said, "I want something like this". He then drew up official blueprints and because of scale difference we did have to make some minor changes. My husband and I are looking forward to the next house and the next chapter of our lives. I am so happy for you! Congratulations!

I came back from the newest video where she show us her fully renovated kitchen and it looks exactly like she did here lol

  33. Catharina on November 14, 2022 at 6:27 am

I never comment on a video, but I have a suggestion: perhaps consider switching the cabinet wall with the oven-cabinet-wall, and moving the sink to the start of the island, opposite of the oven.

  34. Mariana Salazar on November 14, 2022 at 6:27 am

A tip about tiles, always buy extra when you are building the house so if in the future something happens and you have to replace a few of them you dont have to buy different ones if they stopped making/you can’t find the original style of tiles

  35. Jeanette niebauer on November 14, 2022 at 6:29 am

My gram actually has the stove and the little spice cabinets

  36. Lei M on November 14, 2022 at 6:30 am

Maybe get a cover for your kitchen aide!

  37. Corie Jones on November 14, 2022 at 6:32 am

I’m majoring in Interior Design, I would LOVE to see more of these videos lol

  38. AWESD on November 14, 2022 at 6:33 am

You know where we keep our spices? in their individual plastic packets just hanging out together in a box on the shelf 😭😭🤣

  39. Ayda Sipahioğlu on November 14, 2022 at 6:34 am

Can you show us the real kitchen :)))

  40. Miriam Vega on November 14, 2022 at 6:36 am

  42. TravelChild95 on November 14, 2022 at 6:39 am

What the hell is a kitchenaid? Omg you watch Shelby?! Do you watch Monica. I love them both. I really wanna stay in their air bnb 😅

  43. Angel Pichardo on November 14, 2022 at 6:40 am

it’s amaizing see you sooooooo happy. Congratulations for your new house

  44. MissLarentia on November 14, 2022 at 6:41 am

You should never put a fridge next to an oven! The fridge will have to work twice as much to keep it cool when there is an item heating up air right next to it. It will eat up electricity twice as much!

  45. Mhrau on November 14, 2022 at 6:45 am

I did the same! In 2017 we were renovating our new apartment and I remember laying out kitchen with sims 4 and cc. It’s almost identical to this day

  46. Jason Cujas on November 14, 2022 at 6:45 am

Stop making my kitchen in irl

  47. judiit09 on November 14, 2022 at 6:45 am

I have white cabinets at the bottom, wooden cabinets at the top and grey countertop. Then I have a column with my dishwasher-oven-microwave.

  48. Katz World Official on November 14, 2022 at 6:46 am

We’re laughing but I actually designed my house on paper then on the Sims with the electricals and plumbing where I wanted them and it was approved and we are gonna break ground soon. Even our architect was shocked at the design

  49. J. Wa. on November 14, 2022 at 6:47 am

The heat from the oven might negatively affect the microwave if you stack them like that. My house has a double oven, and the electronics on the top one went funky after a while because of the heating issue.

  50. Melissa on November 14, 2022 at 6:48 am

Omg it’s gonna be so cute!!!
