How handy were you before you started? Would you recommend someone not try if they have 10 thumbs and lack on knowledge?…lol

  2. Carmelina Rosinski on September 12, 2022 at 4:57 am

My husband uses these plans from Stodoys and is very happy with them. However. I love yours!

  3. CrankyOldButch Builds out 2018 Ford Transit on September 12, 2022 at 4:59 am

Wow! I watched your video on AM Solar but NEVER Imagined it would cost over $9k! That’s more than my Entire build budget! I won’t be calling them!

  4. Trash.baby.2004 on September 12, 2022 at 4:59 am

Jesus that’s more than I was gonna spend on a van. Maybe I can’t afford this lifestyle lol. It is cool that you guys spent the amount of money you’d spend with a year of rent on a van. In the long run I’m sure you’d have more spending money now?

  5. provinylmusic on September 12, 2022 at 4:59 am

@10:29 he got meetings an we are on….what?

  6. AverageAmandy on September 12, 2022 at 5:00 am

You guys are the BEST!! I have been researching van conversions for months and you guys are SO helpful!! Thank you for linking everything and being so detailed!!

  7. Pauline Hampson on September 12, 2022 at 5:05 am

It seems that many people assumed your van conversion cost included the price of the van. Not so. But if they want a more realistic comparison think of the cost of buying a house – than the total van cost looks like a real bargain. And it’s exactly what you want! 👌

  8. Soléy on September 12, 2022 at 5:06 am

Less than expected – feeling encouraged!

  9. snicklefritz D on September 12, 2022 at 5:06 am

But where do you park a van to live in it, and not incur costs?

  10. Mona Gale on September 12, 2022 at 5:08 am

Excellent information, with the expense of rent this is a good option. Thanks for the path and inspiration.

  11. Christopher Lucas on September 12, 2022 at 5:09 am

Oh my goodness!!!! Thank you guys sooooooo much for this breakdown!!! I really want to go van life! And now because of you guys, I have a really good idea of the cost involved! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

  12. Cliff Spicer on September 12, 2022 at 5:12 am

This was great. I am just toying with the idea of a van right now but looking at your van I would have thought you spent more. Not that I had a reference of any sort, but if you paid approx. $25K a year to rent and have nothing to show for your money at the end paying $25K seems like a no-brainer. I realize there are operating costs but at least you have an asset that if you wanted to sell if after a year it would be worth something but after a year of renting you have nothing to show for your money. If you work on the road, did you look at creative accounting methods to help write-off some of those costs on your taxes? Great video and very useful.

"I’m glad everyone is in our business" LMFAO I’m with it, part of me would be annoyed too bro!

  14. Kadachiman on September 12, 2022 at 5:13 am

Well documented and well presented $25K well spent

  15. Paul Ortiz on September 12, 2022 at 5:14 am

Safety—- a fire extinguisher??? Or 2!

  16. Nona Shibusa on September 12, 2022 at 5:16 am

This video is over 2 years old, but those who are still roaming around in this video: I am new to van conversions and I fell in love with the latest built by Van Land (I think they call it Haven) and the conversion costs 180k! I mean, how can the difference be SOOO big?

  17. Nikolaos Stamos on September 12, 2022 at 5:16 am

Why spray foam insulation as opposed to Rockwool type of insulation?

  18. ANA GONZALEZ on September 12, 2022 at 5:18 am

love the video but omg you guys need to lower down the volume in your audio effects

  19. Madeline Riede on September 12, 2022 at 5:18 am

How much did the van alone cost?

  20. nicole salvatore on September 12, 2022 at 5:19 am

How much was the van when you bought it?

  21. Orange Snowman on September 12, 2022 at 5:19 am

    Amazing

  22. Michelle Stratford on September 12, 2022 at 5:20 am

The thing to remember is that the vast majority of your costs were start up. Now that she’s built, your annual outlay will be significantly less than that $25k you would be paying on that seattle-based apartment. Thanks for a great video!

  23. Sam Keino on September 12, 2022 at 5:23 am

I have watched over three dozen van conversion videos. I learned more from your two videos on conversion than all others combined! It would be great if you ever got into the conversion business!

  24. David Ford on September 12, 2022 at 5:25 am

It looks like I need to start building vans.

  28. Ryan Sulak on September 12, 2022 at 5:28 am

I think this is amazing and really takes out the guessing game behind getting into a sprinter van. I’d love a video where you guys talk about how you saved, thought behind your budget etc. do you have steady income coming in? Did you justify your budget based off of what you would be saving on payments for apartment and car? Stuff like that, thanks!

  29. Liz Scott on September 12, 2022 at 5:28 am

i totally love u two!! seriously great job on video and just being you!

  30. Karen Claypatch on September 12, 2022 at 5:29 am

  36. pidge414 on September 12, 2022 at 5:35 am

"Sooo, our kitchen’s probably our priciest room?…"
LOL. I work for a general contractor. Trust me. Regardless of what you live in, if it has a kitchen, it’s the priciest room.

  37. ShananigansDownunder on September 12, 2022 at 5:35 am

Do you have a spreadsheet you could share for when I build my van? Just to ke4ep track of all the expenses. 🙂

  38. Sam Keino on September 12, 2022 at 5:35 am

Very nice video – this one and the cost of conversion! Would you still do the propane setup vs. induction?

  39. Alena Vyazhevich on September 12, 2022 at 5:35 am

Ok conversation 25,000 but how much was the van. I think most of us want to know the total cost of having the van not just conversion
