The van has been beautifully renovated using almost entirely recycled and salvaged materials, mostly pallet wood. Kylie and Stu had dreamed of living in a Kombi van and did the entire renovation themselves. In this video, we dive into the build process, as well as learn what it’s like to live full time in a VW Kombi van.

Show! !!!
I so badly want to buy a van and travel to places only I want to be.
The wife is so talkative don’t let the husband do the talking🤨
Adds!
aaahhh Kombi’s. My very favourite car in the world.
I lived in my 1971 kombi in Wellington for over a year while studying. I basically lived at university and came ‘home’ just to sleep. I had harbour views and my brother lived on the other side of the valley, great for showers and sharing meals. On the weekends i’d go out to one of the bays to study, swim, jog and cook. In winter i’d just light a candle and that was enough to take the chill out of the air. Good times!
haha just saw the top comment, my boyfriend thinks Bryce is pretty hahaha

OMG cute!
How do they make money… Need to know this very practical part
Love, love, love! Yes: Let‘s all live as bees in a huge hive of learning and giving back! :-)) Wonder what that beautiful patio was all about… Such an inviting way to enter such an iconic home!
Very WISE CLEVER People.
They Bought the Van & used it as it was,
THEN , :- Decided how to Build it & WHAT THEY ACTUALLY NEEDED !! = Excellent !
Never THINK or IMAGINE What you Need in a Camper Van.
Throw A Mattress on the Floor to Sleep on & a Bucket to Pee in.
Everything else is a Personal Choice / Learning Curve to Suit YOUR PERSONAL USE & Needs.
For the Early Days, :-
You could use Disposable Cutlery, & plates etc.
& Buy Cold Food & Ready to Eat Food. or Visit a Drive Thru ? or Call a Hot Food Delivery Service ?
You will Need a Small cooking Facility for Hot water for Drinks & warming Simple meals.
A Portable Gas Ring will Do the job for the Short Term.
Night time Warmth = ADD More THERMAL Bedding or Clothes.
The Cheapest Heat overnight is a " HOT WATER BOTTLE " Any water Heated via a Campfire or Gas flame etc. Will Keep your Bed Warm all night. ( Re-Use the same Water each Night, Don’t pour it away. )
& / or Buy an outdoor Sleeping bag for low temperatures ?
Cost of a Van Plus ? £100.00 / US $130.00 ?
Will Get you Out & about for a few days or a week or two, While you work out what you need, = VERY Little Fitting out of a van.
Until You Figure out EXACTLY what YOU need & how often you need it. & How much Space this method will FREE UP.
I would trade my eye teeth to have the VW van I had decades ago. Heavy sigh
Simplicity is beauty..
Love the whole travel from destination to destination to help and learn. Great idea and what a way to study and mingle at the same time. Hats off to you. Thanks for sharing.
BELLISSIMOOOO…. 💚💪🌎👏👏
I love this Kombi but I would have a pull out veranda thingo from the roof to sit under on a hot day……
wow these 2 don’t mind getting cozy
So funny! My green westy is named Wilhelmina too!!!
Reminds of the scooby vehicle
Don’t know how i have ended how on this channel but from i did i have watching every day. But what i noticed most about these tiny house living that the occupants are always happy not with the house only but seem about their life that i most interesting about this type of living
There’s an old beat up westfela in my neighborhood that’s been sitting there since I was a kid and I’d love to buy it and fix her up
Girl, he is waiting for a chance to talk
I had a ‘77, great times in Fiona, same color!! Cheers guys keep up the great work! You put a huge smile on my face.
A nőt nem sokáig bírnám ki. A fickót is irritálja – látszik az arcán.
Beautiful house.
😃👍🏻🚐👊🏻
Must feel hot as hell in summer.
The materials may be free/cheap but the extra weight will add to the gas and these vehicles are so underpowered anyway. Looks great tho’,,
No bathroom
Love the young people of this awesome country. Inspiring me to live healthier, more sustainable and less selfish. Inspired by your generation. Safe and fun travels.
Good 💯💡💝👍
I find it funny though how hypocritical people are. Driving an old VW Bus is everything but eco-friendly. Fuel and Oil consumption as well as emissions are not up to ecological standards…
Incredible life !!
I have been frantically trying to google that rope shelf thing, to no avail! Anyone know what it’s called?
hey foks you schould look at combi life Australian travel the world in a vw combi
So they removed everything useful. Cool cool.
The only other thing they need to do to make things really “green” is to convert their V-Dub to EV.
Bryce, my tiny home is a tent I take on my motorcycle. My combi is a Crumpler Dry Red 6. But, yes, I am dependent on cafes. And silence. 😉
Nice Van! Great Video!
3 months is fast to get such a vehicle.
🎥👍🚐🐌🔍👍👬👍👀😄✌
She cuts in every time he trys to say something.
Delightful couple

Much much more than just a van conversion. Hearing and seeing this generation talk, fills me with hope, as they are our future leaders. Thanks for sharing 🙂
