VAN TOUR after 2 YEARS OF FULL-TIME VAN LIFE | So many changes!
My self-built home has changed A LOT in the last few years! This van tour focuses on each upgrade, why I installed or built it, and how it’s currently going.
I’m falling more in love with my custom cabin on wheels with each little upgrade!

We are Linnea and Akela. Through the van build, I used my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a campervan by themselves and on a budget, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work.
Our goal is to inspire individuals to chase their dreams… to break from societal limitations and live the life they truly desire.
SUBSCRIBE for solo travel, all things outdoors, and the in’s & out’s of van life with a big german shepherd.
That’s exactly what I’d love to do Linnea, thanks a lot for the advices and for boosting our self confidence on trying to make our own rig..I don’t know nothing about DIY and electric but I guess of I’ll put myself on the situation that I have to I might be like!! Really, well done for everything you’ve achieved and made you have all my respect πͺ especially after seeing you fishing!!π ..Maybe we will all meet on the road at some point guys, with our self-built cabin on wheels!! All the best wishes to you both and enjoy outdoors!! πππͺ
Love your build ! Great design. I wish i had your skills
Awesome job! I hope the adventures never end. I am thinking about putting in one of those cubic minis as well. How do you stow the stove and the chimney when travelling? There are laws regarding that (you are best to ask your local commercial vehicle inspection facility (a big truck scale) and you can get fined. Iβm not meaning to criticize, it is just a concern to think about. Next, how long is your fire lasting? About 3 hours or so? Do you stoke it throughout the night or just let it get cold until the morning?
Total Enlightenment and inspiration
Got it! You did it all by yourself. No one helped you. Bravo. Congrats.
Awesome intelligent build. I love that you refer to liking the aesthetic of certain aspects of the build as I am a very practical person but am affected by aesthetics. And I’m a German shepherd person too and seeing how you live together in such small space is very informative. And then the room for books and gear! All the practical features work for great adventures in this van.
What an absolutely amazing video and you have done so well , best wishes and keep on doing what you do ππππ
You are inspiring. You are so much like my daughter that lives in Alaska, has her own fishing boat and itβs huge and goes out to sea a few months at a time with her his. My grandchildren have been raised on that boat. She spend her land time at their cabin and hunting for their meats. Nothing stops her from doing it ground up. So much like you. I admire this in you both.
She has not let her having a family slow her down. They are living a great life.
Love your lifestyle and fantastic van build

Cabin vibe is awesome
Well done!!! You are living my dream. Your imagination, courage, determination, drive, enthusiasm and skills are exemplary. I wish you only the very best on your future endeavors and adventures. Please give your furry friend a forehead rub from me.
I love a woman who isnβt afraid to bury her turds.
Wow , I didnβt think girls pooped
Awesome π well done
Very nice build! But please note that plastic "composting bags" are not biodegradable in nature, they are only industrialy degradable. It is still plastic. Paper bags could be a better choise.
I love this videoβ and I want your life! π I appreciate your courage to be out there on your own, but also to build everything yourself. Wow!!!
Hi Linnea, We have just enjoyed watching you for our very first time, thank you very much, we will be watching more of your vlogs, Stay safe Marion & Glenn ( Yorkshire, England xx
I’m 83 and have a great deal of respect for this lady, I’m still going too and have a build in mind myself. I want to sell my custom house that I built and get wheels that I can move around on this 4000 square mile Island, visit friends enjoy the sun every day, be able to spend time anywhere I want, when ever I want. I’m in a wheelchair and miss being able to get out when I want to no matter the weather ( enjoy the tropical rain ) , be able to get to the top of Mauna Kea again. I’m in real good health after 3 strokes that all came within 72 hours real close together . You go girl and I’ll add you to my watch list.π Aloha Nui Loa !

Nice! LOve your vibe and the completeness of your video. Much respect for your planning and effort. Safe to travels. I am sure you are an inspiration to many
Hi would you mind sharing how you treated the wood?
Iβm properly nervous that Iβm going to choose the wrong option and mess up all the hard work now itβs fitted and have to sand it all and start again
I think Iβm going for a tinted varnish
Massive props for your DIY build & rebuild! Love your van’s authentic design & your down to earth philosophy. Very inspirational!!!
You are so inspiring π’β€
I can’t live in a van it seems dangerous and I’m scared of everything these days.
Nice camper! – I like! π Greetings from West Germany. π
I think your little oven in the camper is super cool!
I can imagine living in such a camper.. 3 years ago I had a Citroen jumper (French): It is identical to the Dodge Master. Everything on mine is original from Clever Celebration 600. I find your conversion more interesting than bought ready-made. …but I still have a MINI camper I made myself! . This is my Suzuki Jimny FJ and I built the box myself with a gas cooker :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItEgF5ELRwU .. I will retire earlier in 8 years and will travel to the USA with a Suzuki Jimny FJ. Shipping the Jimny in a ship container is no problem… I also have family in the USA! Oh, by the way, I used to have a VW T4 Westfalia… I was on a trip to Norway with it in 2019 :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZy-FGXdst8 I wish you a safe journey and happy Easter. Greetings from West Germany TOM :)……oh one more thing, you have a beautiful dog.)
Love it!
Interesting slant, I agree KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid), our van is smaller so is our dog.
Loved this video. So interesting.

My biggest question for van life people is not, how can you put up with living in a van? Cause I think that would be awesome. My question is: one, how do you have the time and come up with the money to build a camper van when you have no experience AND are holding down a full time job; two, how do you make enough money to survive for two years without a "normal" job? I understand your expenses are cut down when you don’t have an apartment and/or mortgage, but you still need health insurance, phone, food, fuel, clothes, more stuff for your van, plus all the resources (i.e. TONS of time and money) to shoot/edit all the videos.
Excellent β¦.well done.
Your van is just adorable and you are amazing. What wonderful adventures you and Akela have. Lucky dog and what a great companion for you.

So cool and authentic telling van life how it is massive respect xx
Hey Jenna.
Awesome. My favorite build so far. Thx for sharing. β€
First time Iβve seen one of your videos. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Looks like a great van and the fact hat you did yourself is amazing. You remind me off my son who is also intelligent, talented and able to figure things out and get it done. That said, he does take risk he shouldnβt at times. Having your stove so close to your bed is tempting fate, even though you keep a close eye on it. Things can go wrong in an instant, especially when you throw a dog in the mix. Just saying. Believe me I know, after living and surviving for 58 years now, in less than ideal circumstances at times. Look forward to watching more of your videos. Stay safe.
You are so cool ..
I’ve full-timed in 2 motorhomes for 6 years. What you’ve done here is very impressive. Congrats!!!
β€it looks beautiful
Hey this is BEAUTIFUL yall are so lucky it looks so special. I hope you both enjoy the heck out of it. Where is that leak in the ceiling coming from? Is it from the stove install or is it the door? Im asking because I’m at the start of my journey lookin for a cheap van to buy and renovate for living in. One of my biggest fears is leaks. I’m going to be going for a cross between rustic cabin and tech command station so water and the elements are my primary concerns.
Thanks π I appreciate the micro wood furnace – just joined – auto play stumbled upon your video I guess. Best of luck fr Canada π¨π¦
