Vanlife: Our favorite mods and accessories
Vanlife during the four-and-a-half years we have owned our 2008 Roadtrek 190 Popular 4×4 hasn’t called for many modifications, but those we have made are game-changers. And a few inexpensive but incredibly useful accessories have helped make life on the road easier.
In this video, we share with you a few of our favorite things that we have changed on or added to our Class B RV.
You may notice that we don’t talk about our Fantastic Fan upgrade in this video — even though we both love it — but that’s because we felt we covered it more than enough in our prior video, which you can watch here: https://youtu.be/WzA3mjnUC70

How about a link for the fridge light please
Thanks for the advice, I ordered the hanger and 12 volt usb for our recently purchased 2005 190 popular.
People worth to encounter 🙂
Where did you get the BRUSH BAR FROM?
I am very interested in purchasing a roadtrek like you have, Chevrolet chassis. Any particular mechanical or maintenance advice i should be aware of
Composting toilet vs RV black tank. The only thing I, as a wanna be full-timer can think of, is to be able to boondock for longer periods of time with no black tank overflow worries?

Great video! Have a 2005 170 that we love. Thanks for the idea on the cloths hanger, electrical quick connect and the 12 volt battery monitor. We use a 12 volt computer fan to maintain air flow in the fridge along with Sterlite branded vented trays to keep food organized by category and minimize opening the door which in really hot weather warms up the fridge in a hurry. We constantly watch the temperature on the dash with a wireless thermometer like you do. At night we typically lower the setting so food doesn’t freeze overnight. Since it’s good practice to never drive with propane on, we put a tag on the steering wheel reminding us to shut off the propane before driving off and especially filling with gas. We recently installed a Kenwood stereo with car play and back up cameras, we can monitor our tandem bike on the back while driving and of course having a large GPS is super nice. Take care, maybe we’ll see you out there "Roadtrekking"
loved all your ideas, I have started a wishlist on Amazon!!
Thanks guys, I really liked the thin bins, I think I might have to get some. We sold our house Saturday so somewhere around the first of the year we’ll be getting a motor home and hitting the road full time. Keep the good stuff coming.
Great info for a future full timer.
Thank you so much for these mods. I just purchased a 1995 190 Versatile and I need to bring it in to the 21st century, lol.
The dishpan looks like it would be good to soak items like clothes as well…
Great video. I’ve been thinking of how to build In a clothes rack. But the one you have will be perfect for my set up.
you mentioned that motion sensor refrigerator light. What’s the name of it?
Any idea where you would look to find a used rig like yours? Hate to have to go to a dealer. Best of luck!
Wow, this was a great video 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼
You guys are awesome! Another amazing video, Thank You guys for taking the time to share!!
Thanks for the tips. I’m in a 12C190P. I like your power cord conversion and the rod ideas. Gonna do those. I envy your 4×4. Do you ever use it? Does the driver seat swivel?
We have a much older unit 1999 Dodge Versatile and are renovating it wayyy more than we should.. We use everything you recommend except the clothes rod and electrical adapter- will have to see if it could work on our unit..
Just bought a roadtrek is it hard on put on a winter cover??)
Awesome accessories! Thank for letting us know where to get them! And as always a good vlog. Hope you have been camping a lot this summer! I have a trip coming up at the end of the week.
