Truth be told, when I set off for this micro-adventure, I had no idea that it would snow THAT heavily at night. This ended up being real test of Odyssey’s winter capabilities… and my fire-making skills 🔥❄️

Можно я с Вами путешествовать
You make me feel like I’m right thah with you in thah weld❤🔥🌍🚙…………👋🤠👍🌦☃🎄🎄❣
Your sweater looks Norwegian by the pattern.
But it may be fake… 😜
You virtually have no detectable accent
Good thing it’s usually not far from 0c when it’s snowing. Plus all that snow on your tent helps keep you warm.
Inside your tent it was actual room temp so that’s not bad.
Reminds me of home.
Hey you should get with these guys https://www.youtube.com/c/SailingLaVagabonde
Awesome…so daring…. ❤❤❤❤❤
Hello ny sweet heart eva zu back
Im still the nerd
Name of the music playing at 6:40 ?
Making fire is one of the oldest of human skills. And it was one of the most important skills early humans developed.
There is a fairly good movie called Quest for Fire. You may like it.
HELLO GOOD AFTERNOON HELLO GOOD DAY HELLO GOOD MORNİNG HELLO MERHABA SELAMLAR İYİ AKŞAMLAR DİLERİM.
Love the videos I’m new to your channel, always wanted to start my journey living on the road, would love some tips 😊
my apologies. Someone told me you could survive
Would have loved to have been there. Camping in the snow. Thanks for sharing your experience. My late sister really liked jacket potatoes…. brought back some sentimental value.
I like snow as much as the next guy, but backup plans for heater failure are critical….
Am I blocked.. ?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
well I love you guys. No war :D. There’s some weird stuff about you guys, time and space
still have no idea what you’re heating solution is … did i miss it?
I think you still have a bit of charcoal on your face 🤣😂🤣
great
wow! Your a stallion! Very cool flick
I loved your volg
You have a very interesting life, and you are so brave I wish you many more adventure, with your dog and Odessey.
That’s now really coooooool I’m sure. Have fun in the snow.. Eva..
I’ve met some polish people in my life, but they never told me about the snow part of their country. I like snow, but just not the cold part (I know that sounds weird). Well as long as you had fun and stayed safe, great experience.
Your so bloody handsome
That looks very Nordic skiable!!!!
Hi Eva how does the heater works …?? on Battery or the car engine have to be kept ON whole night .
Wait, that heating pipe, is she actually running the car the whole night for heat??
Pretty bad time?! Hypothermia is real… but you lived, so I think you got it right…
Love your content. I just found you 2 days ago and I have been binge watching everything. Keep it up.
One trick about making a fire in snow, have a wood base to put your fire one or a rock. The snow tends to keep putting your fire out as it melts.
Am I blocked…?
Wow thts such a beautiful site!!!!
Can you please describe this heating system in more detail?
Eva states that she learned to make a fire at age 29. When do most learn it? For me it was age 10 in cub scouts.
what size tent is this?
I’d to try snow camping, but at 17⁰C I start to die since I’m living in the tropics.
Grilled potatoes with cheese>instant ramen…
Your knitted sweater by the pattern looks Norwegian… but it may be fake. 😜
You were next to the camp fire place… in that building… Why would you start the fire on the road?!
NOW, ITS THE "IN GOD WE TRUST" RIDE PARTS…
Camping alone is great, when I first started camping alone some ppl thought it was strange or I was lonely. Lol but now more and more ppl going alone. 👍
I worked a couple of winters at a Lake Tahoe ski area as a life operator. The weather was calling for a heavy snowstorm. It had actually started snowing the afternoon before and there was already several feet of snow on the ground, so I spent a couple of hours shoveling snow so I could get to my car the next morning. As my room mate’s car was right next to mine I dug out his car as well.
I knew I would have to dig more in the morning so I set my alarm for 5am the next morning (It was already midnight).
But the following morning I opened the door to the cabin and the entire doorway was filled with a wall of snow (and it was *STILL* snowing. It had snowed 7 feet (213 cm) in just 5 hours!
For the next 3 hours working with my room mate we had dug out only a fraction of what was needed to get to our cars. It would end up taking another 4 hours of digging to get to my car, and I was meant to be at work in just half an hour (it was now 8am)
My roommate and I decided there was no way for us to get to work (I never did know what my roommate did, but he worked in an office) so we both called in. My roommate got a message saying no one was going to be in the office that day, so he went back to bed.
My boss told me to come in no matter how long it took me to dig out, so rather than going back to bed, I went back to digging.
I finally got my 4X4 going around noon and it took me another hour of driving to get to work (normally it took 15 minutes). Then when I got to work my boss said I would be paid for the full day, just for showing up but the ski area was closed because too few people were able to get there to run the place. So in the long run, I just considered all that digging was my work day.
It continued snowing all day, all the following night, and into the following day. It then took another 3 days before the roads could open again, meaning none of the stores could be resupplied. I went into the Safeway in Tahoe City and it was dead empty.
I don’t remember how much snow we got altogether but we had to dig down to get into the top floor of the cabin. My other roommate, who was on vacation with his GF that weekend had his car crushed by the snow on top of it!
I felt a little bad about that because I had dug out my car and my roommate’s care the night before, but I had left my other roommate’s cars because they were gone.
I had never even heard of a car being crushed by the snow from a single storm. That storm was comparable to the one that stranded the Donor party not far from where I was living.
That storm gave me an entirely new standard for "heavy snowfall"
It reminds me about the fun we had during our winter vacation to Norway and Sweden. With our Jeep over the gravel roads full with snow and ice.
The house looks like sugarcoated.
With temperatures below -32 degrees Celsius at some points.
What a great experience.
So I like your videos and enjoy every one of them.
Keep it coming 😄
Thank you!! This was great!
Why overland is fun?
I winter camped in small tent many times n under the open sky lots n under tarp only lots
