WINTER CAMPING in a DIY CAMPER TRAILER using only a WOOD STOVE for HEAT

WINTER CAMPING in a DIY CAMPER TRAILER using only a WOOD STOVE for HEAT

With the snow storm of the century quickly approaching I find a perfect place to camp with Eddie, my DIY travel trailer, and explore the winter landscape before the blizzard arrives and things get too extreme. My cubic mini grizzly wood stove keeps things perfectly warm and as a bonus I use it to help with the cooking as well.

What was the point of starting a fire outside with the blow torch?

I wish this was my life. Life on the road traveling from one beautiful place to another. The only that could make this any better is a family to travel with me. You may not be traveling but my opinion stands on its own.

I really like these camping in ghe woods/countryside videos. The only thing that gets on my damn nervs is, its always like just watching a bloody ‘Cooking Video’..with most, that is all you see..🙈.. ifni wanted just watch people cooking, then i would go to a cooking channel.
No offence to this particular video, but i just had to mention it now as it drives me mad!!

  18. RKTMAN on February 2, 2023 at 6:59 am

You shouldn’t burn pine in your wood stove. It makes a lot of creosote which can catch on fire eventually.

I’m from Ohio and am looking for places to go in Ontario this summer. We will put this on the list to consider. Thanks for sharing!

The problem with these small wood stoves that everyone thinks are so cool, is they can’t hold enough wood to burn through the night. So, you end up waking up every hour or two freezing and have to fire it up again. Much better off with a fuel fired heat source.

  24. Wrecker girl on February 2, 2023 at 7:06 am

What kind of wood stove is that?

  25. SoCalReneGal on February 2, 2023 at 7:06 am

What was the fire outside for? The way it was edited was as if you started the fire, then went inside for the rest of the evening.

  26. Brenda Lloyd on February 2, 2023 at 7:07 am

you can come and cook that delish meal here any time. how simple but mouth watering!

Beautiful video. I think I’m asking an obviously simple question, but why did you build the fire outside? Is it for the aesthetics or some other purpose.

  31. Heather Inthesixohfour on February 2, 2023 at 7:12 am

Why did you light a fire in the outdoor pit (with wood you paid for) then go inside and light another to cook on? Seems like a waste of money and wood to me

  32. Laurel Dell on February 2, 2023 at 7:14 am

First time watching your channel. I don’t get all of the products, why wouldn’t you use the coals from outside to start your woodstove? Why the torch, paper and smaller kindling would have worked the same. It feels like one long commercial, infomercial.

Playing at camping with all mod. cons.

  34. SuzyQ on February 2, 2023 at 7:17 am

Love the video. I have a silly question because I have seen others do this and I never knew why. Why do you light a fire outside of the camper? I thought maybe you would cook on it, but you didn’t. What is the purpose of the fire outside? TIA!!! Susie

I have a 20ft travel trailer that had been more or less gutted on my property that I stay in most of the time since my farm animals are there. No skirting, no extra insulation, just a camp stove and the windows covered and the door at night has a thick curtain down on it. If it gets down to the negatives then I just get up every 3 hours to stoke the fire and it tends to be around 40 to 50 in those Temps.
I do have a house in town but honestly I enjoy being on the property a heck of a lot more.

  42. Wrecker girl on February 2, 2023 at 7:27 am

Wow awesome! That’s the kind of ladder I need . Stay warm

  43. Kevin Wehrmeister on February 2, 2023 at 7:28 am

Seems like a big air gap under the door – much air come in?

  44. Eduardo Jiménez on February 2, 2023 at 7:29 am

Beautiful place . That door on the trailer wouldn’t provide you much protection from wild animals , two or four legged . Your in heaven ! 🙏🔥

  45. VADERR7 on February 2, 2023 at 7:30 am

The scene with the birds was pretty cool. What kind of birds are they?

  46. David Evans on February 2, 2023 at 7:33 am

Winter camping is the best; no people, no bears and no bugs. Thanks for sharing this. Your repoire with the beautiful birds says a lot about your character. Appreciated.
