“And I’m her husband.” Guess we’ll see.

  2. Soap&Stuff on January 12, 2023 at 3:54 am

I actually understand why Ariel got a hard time for this, she isn’t really listening to Zach and calls the stuff he likes stupid. And honestly the audacity of Ned basically claiming to be save Zach’s relationship. So, so cocky..

  3. erly on January 12, 2023 at 3:55 am

This felt like an attack on neurodiversity

  4. Killing Bees on January 12, 2023 at 3:56 am

the people who criticize Ariel and Maggie are people who live alone and probably without a partner.
I do not have a partner and I am aware that there are things to which I give a sentimental value or whatever and I keep them, and when the time comes to clean, redecorate, move, etc. I am aware that I have to do a general cleaning .

I tell you as someone who has seen people with diogenes up close, it is good to know how to get rid of things that we really do not use or do not know what to do with them.
You can understand a youtuber or streamer who has background collections in the videos and others, but because it is part of their brand, their work, their decoration, etc…

If you have objects and things in "storage room" type rooms and you don’t use them or think about them in, maximum, a year… get rid of those things.

And before you say "It’s just that Ariel called him stupid, it’s that they laugh at him and blah blah blah". THEY HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR MANY YEARS. In front of the cameras Ned and Ariel have a role "redecorators who save their friends" and play the part. Also, wanting the office to be an extension of the house and not a games room I think is understandable. If it were a bigger house, there would probably be no problem storing memorabilia and building shelving and display racks.
But they work with what they have.

  5. Jayl on January 12, 2023 at 3:56 am

Oh I remember seeing this before. I had no issue with it. Zach shouldn’t of taken it down. Even though I don’t like Ned cheating… I don’t think that a wise decision in the grand scheme of things of taking it down. He had a lot of stuff and probably better he puts it away to declutter.

  6. Shaylynn Perez on January 12, 2023 at 3:57 am

People are still talking about this "erasing Zach’s personality" and how Maggie "essentially took over," etc., etc., and Ariel gets hate for saying he surrounds himself with "stupid things," even though Zach called them "dumb things" earlier on, and I get it, I see how that wouldn’t land, but the hate itself just seems unnecessary because at no point does Zach seem unhappy with this change. If you watch the whole way through, we get to see his boops and bops are still there, throughout the place. Just better organized now. He even says he got rid of things he didn’t really need, and like. I don’t know. Just read the pinned comment.

I understand how this could come off, especially if you have a bad experience with people trying to erase your own personality, who you are, etc., just so you can "fit in," but I think the main problem here was the editing and lack of context. They didn’t "erase Zach’s personality." They took his things and organized them better, and helped him declutter. Did the "stupid" comment seem bad? Yeah, sure, but I don’t think it was, and I think the very vitriolic response to it is uncalled for regardless. If Zach is happy, which he seems to be, I think we should trust that as an indicator here, moreso than our impressions of it. We only have this small window into their lives, especially as events have shown us recently, and if Zach was okay with this, and bothered by the hate, then why are we still participating in it? It’s just not necessary.

I just realized that Zach has a burn book 💀

  11. Johann Cai on January 12, 2023 at 4:02 am

3:56 I wonder if she still feels the same 🤔

  12. Abi on January 12, 2023 at 4:04 am

Both episodes so far have been the guys throwing away stuff they love. Where is the junk the women have hidden away? There’s no way they don’t have boops and bops…

  13. The Try Guys on January 12, 2023 at 4:10 am

Hey guys! It’s Zach here! I’ve collected tons of random boops n’ bops over the years, but never knew what to do with them. This video actually helped me figure out how to highlight the things I love and part with the things just taking up space. I didn’t throw away anything I loved. Some stuff got water damage in storage (like my Eternal Sunshine VHS and Lion King copy) and was actually just garbage taking up space lol. All the toys now have cute & prime placement around the house for the first time ever☺️ Maggie did such an incredible job putting the rest of our place together and making it somewhere we both felt represented and comfy. We love our place. Also the video creates a false dichotomy between our stuff – I was involved in decorating with every room. But for the office it was really important to me to step up and show that I was equally invested in making our apartment a home <3 -Zach

  14. KM Co on January 12, 2023 at 4:10 am

Better to be a cutie with boops and bops than a d-bag with an extramarital affair with a subordinate AM I RIGHT?

  15. Shaylynn Perez on January 12, 2023 at 4:11 am

6:27 maybe you shouldn’t cheat Ned. Idk just an idea.

  16. alex moon on January 12, 2023 at 4:11 am

I’m mourning that the 4 of them were good friends. I wish they didn’t have to fire Ned. His WiFi box was genius.

  17. stacy J on January 12, 2023 at 4:13 am

Yeah I totally see why Ariel got so much hate. Maggie, not so much. I do think this should have stayed unlisted and Ned only caring about “all his hard work” when Ariel did 95% of the work and was the one getting the hate is very telling.

  18. grapeypear on January 12, 2023 at 4:13 am

Did they ever do the video with Ariel’s sister’s studio?

  19. Mary Rachel Keville on January 12, 2023 at 4:13 am

This series makes me sad now to look back on, but this is also a legitimately helpful series for me to think about DIY renovations, so I’ll be sad while I take notes.

  20. Caitlin Kimble on January 12, 2023 at 4:14 am

"Relationships are about compromise" funny coming from the guy who cheats on his wife

  21. AmeliaMulberry on January 12, 2023 at 4:14 am

Hey Zach, if you still often use a standing desk I recommend you wear compression socks or take frequent walk/ calf raise breaks! Gotta keep that blood pumping — <3 a vascular technologist lol (:

  22. QuinnOfBritain on January 12, 2023 at 4:18 am

Oh they did include his posters and things!

  23. Shaylynn Perez on January 12, 2023 at 4:22 am

3:37 they are Also about trust and not cheating….

  25. Conejito Deprimido on January 12, 2023 at 4:27 am

Obviously it was Ariel trying to be witty at the 8:00 min mark, but why did they leave that in after editing???

  26. BecauseTheDoctorSaidYolo on January 12, 2023 at 4:31 am

Everyone needs to relax and stop reading into every take and edit. You have to remember that days of shooting is cut to a 20 minute video.. This means responses are cut short, conversations are trimmed – so everything sounds more concise and to the point.

  27. Jake Hoover on January 12, 2023 at 4:31 am

  28. QuinnOfBritain on January 12, 2023 at 4:32 am

We all commented too soon. They totally included all his things, and nowhere did they say that it got thrown away. Just stored. I definitely got heated, but… watch until the end…

  29. BB ~ on January 12, 2023 at 4:33 am

He said weird, Ariel. Not stupid 😂 I see why she was getting hate over it. Who edited the video maybe should’ve been more careful.

  30. Calvoe Kleiden on January 12, 2023 at 4:36 am

I never hate commented on this video but I was frustrated with the girls for seeming to think their minimalist ideas were obviously smarter and better than any ounce of personality the boys might have. They had seemed condescending to me :// but I know the truth now 😅

  31. Blue on January 12, 2023 at 4:36 am

This video should’ve stayed down when Zach unlisted it.

  32. Bubbles Awesome on January 12, 2023 at 4:37 am

Poor Zach. I don’t get why they were trying to make him get ride of his things. Nothing wrong with liking what other think is “ childish“

  33. Annie Fraz on January 12, 2023 at 4:38 am

Can Americans modify flats they rent? :O

  34. loadostuff on January 12, 2023 at 4:40 am

Yeah I agree with Zach. should have been taken down for good.

  35. Cloudy Day on January 12, 2023 at 4:40 am

I think the thing that bothers me the most here is that when Ariel (and Maggie) started to get some backlash, it seems that nobody asked THEM what THEY wanted. Ned basically said "but I worked hard!" And kept it up. Were the people who were cyber bullied asked what they would like to happen with the video? Obviously it was upsetting to Zach, I’m guessing for Ariel and Maggie it had to be even worse

  36. Kelly Davis on January 12, 2023 at 4:42 am

Ariel only referred to Zachs stuff as "stupid" because he did first. She didn’t deserve any hate for this video.

  37. Michelle Deininger on January 12, 2023 at 4:42 am

Honestly, ned made this cheesy. Try diy would have been great series if Ariel ran the show, as she’s the one who knows what she’s doing. I would have loved more of her explanations of details and design choices, but instead we got Ned stealing the limelight with fake enthusiasm.

  38. Shtephy on January 12, 2023 at 4:42 am

Zach got that home office just in time for the pandemmy lol

  39. riley on January 12, 2023 at 4:46 am

i love the boops n bops

  40. Adhya Kejriwal on January 12, 2023 at 4:46 am

    Did they change the thumbnail?

  41. Crafty with a dollar on January 12, 2023 at 4:49 am

I just LOVE Ariel and hope she is well!

  42. Carolyn Schumacher on January 12, 2023 at 4:49 am

Hi to everyone who’s here since Ned got exposed cheating with Alex.

  43. Sibuna01 on January 12, 2023 at 4:50 am

Watching this after the documentary changes how I view it.

  44. Davi Hughes on January 12, 2023 at 4:51 am

I’ve always hated this video and am shocked that Zach kept it unlisted but the others decided to put it back up and went berserk on him. I stand by the comment I made when it came out and I really dislike how everything was handled here.

  45. GamingHere on January 12, 2023 at 4:52 am

I’m so sad watching this. But Ariel is a great builder and should have her own DIY show.

  46. Maggie Cloud on January 12, 2023 at 4:52 am

Not trying to be THAT person but watch the Try Guys documentary. Zach unlisted this video because Ariel was getting hate, and Ned cared more about “his” project being taken offline. Should Zach have consulted the guys first? Absolutely. But NED should have cared more about his wife getting cyber bullied than his project being removed.

  47. Ivorella Rackley on January 12, 2023 at 4:52 am

12:08 "i rolled off the changing table and I turned out just fine…"
Ariels face killed me hahahah I hope she continues to make videos with the Wives despite everything that has happened, I love her so so so so so much.

  48. Brook Page on January 12, 2023 at 4:53 am

I want Maggie’s sweater! Where did she get that?

  49. Shaylynn Perez on January 12, 2023 at 4:53 am

11:21 Well she is not his wife anymore 🫤😭

  50. Maya on January 12, 2023 at 4:54 am

I don’t think the design is that nice, it’s more Ariel than Zach. It’s nice in a generic way but as an interior designer, customer’s personality tops, because the final output should trigger emotions, and uniqueness to the individuals. long story short, it should be weird and querky like Zach, not Ikea-ish.
