Wow it sounds so complicated but I did go on the web site to get a catalog to see it

We have something like the Nucore floor..it was called Cortec! It is an awesome floor! We have dogs and they don’t scratch the floors, they are super easy to clean. One of our dogs, a lab, has a hormone issue that cause her to urinate accidentally sometimes. We had this in our previous house and I love it!

I have the engineered wood floor in my family room and it’s great. It feels good to walk on and cleans easily. It was installed long time ago and it still looks great! I loved this video.

So much useful information. You always have such good advice. We live in a mobile home, and when changing the flooring, we went with a floating floor, since we didn’t want to pay a ton for an asbestos report. Was easy to install and we love it. Thank you so much for sharing!

    Hi Natalie,
One thing that you need to know before you decide on flooring is what’s underneath your existing flooring now. If you’re on a concrete slab looking to redo your basement your choices are limited away from hardwood flooring because hardwood flooring is nailed in. Being on a concrete slab means messy glue, or snap together floating flooring..

I have ceramic tile and hardwoods. I also have carpet in my bedrooms. I hate my ceramic tile and carpet.

Oh, horrors! We just finished going through this. Just as soon as we picked out the right flooring, we were told it was not available, because it had to be imported from who knows where and could not be shipped during the pandemic. So, it was back to the drawing board, then back again and again. I like what we finally bought, but it’s far from what we originally chose.

Really liked this overview video. One thing I don’t think you mentioned was how certain floors feel under your feet. We are older and the last time we chose flooring for the kitchen and bathrooms, we went with sheet vinyl (maybe 10 years ago?) because we didn’t want to stand on hard tile. Luxury vinyl plank had not been invented yet, and laminate was not a good choice for kitchens and baths where water might destroy it. Now, I would definitely lean toward the luxury vinyl plank for those areas. It saves a lot of time to have an overview of available options like you have done here. Thanks for this video.
