Hey Hollie 🙂 Auburn Opelika area is where I shop! My daughter and I found some very pretty antique doors at Habitat for Humanity Restore in Opelika. They have an entire storeroom of old windows and doors. The manager was super helpful and actually took pictures of the doors and sent them to us. I am so happy for ya’ll! And you know I have 28 yo twins…….a boy and a girl …….so I love your names, Lake and Lace! Your Lake Martin friend, Angela

You were in my neck of the wood at Angel’s.. There are 2 in Valley AL that are my favorite stores! Timeless and one other can’t remember..lol.. I see your vision can’t wait!! Maybe you could find a church pew for the other wall in the foyer.. fun video.. don’t wait to long for babies..you will be an old grandma lol.. loved having grands in my 40s.. now I’m 55 and we are having so much fun with our 7 grands!! The August floral print that you are on the hunt for is by Robert Fuber; who did a series of the "Twelve Months of Flowers" . I have had luck finding them at Goodwill.
Those dishes are not Blue Willow, my dear. I collect Blue Willow. Look for 2 birds, orange tree, bridge with people on it and the boat in the water with the girl and boy that jump into the water because her father will not let them marry. The story was what made me fall in love with them. Love your blog and I was born in Huntsville, Ala.

Holly just a thought – you and Your family could write Bible verses and prayers on the framed walls and on the floor before they are covered up . My family did this when we remodeled some at my parents home !

I actually went to a architectural salvage and got antique doors, stained and leaded glass windows for our house. We got an old pump organ top and put it on our fireplace when we redid it. Those items are unique and priceless. I also have 1930’S ART DECO stove in my kitchen I display fake food items on it.

I married my prom date twenty seven yrs ago this July and I tell y’all something,There is nothing like working on projects together-I still get butterflies whenever he walks into the room! Holly if you see something you absolutely love for your home buy it. You will find a way to use it. And if it turns out you absolutely cannot use it, you can always sell it. I saw beautiful things and did not buy them because I thought they would not fit. Later found out they would have been perfect, but, it was too late to buy it. So exciting to see your home being built and you and Drews dreams coming true. God Bless.
If you’ve never been to Charles Phillips Antiques & Architecturals in Theodore…you should really check it out!!! They have Doors galore from all over!!!!! They are a little pricey in my opinion but they have some really interesting and beautiful treasures!
