Welcome back to the channel. I am so excited to be rolling out a brand new series all about small spaces! We’re talking furniture pieces, best studio apartment layouts, outdoor terrace and balcony ideas, tiny bathroom upgrades, even Feng Shui tips for your studio space where it’s one giant room. Kitchen storage hacks, bedroom styling hacks… I hope to cover all of your major issues when it comes to designing a small space.
Let’s get rolling with this first video in my SMALL SPACE SERIES- it’s all about furniture pieces that work overtime in small spaces. Consider your existing furnishings and ask yourself “How else can this piece be used?” If it serves double or even triple duty- it’s a keeper! Remember that the smaller the home, the more important it is to design with both form and function in mind.

Wall sconces require electrician. The chairs here around 2000 each. I listened to three designers all said exactly same.

Perhaps you could do ask&answer for those who have to mannage with what they have in a small space but want to respect both feng shui laws and own desires and needs?
What size sectional do you recommend in a living room that is 15′ x 15′? One side of the room is solid windows of a spectaular view with a window seat under the windows. Two sides are walls and the fourth side is open to the kitchen and foyer. It’s standard height ceiling in a modern style condo building.

Thank you for acknowledging that sometimes the couch has to go against the wall! There’s so much advice about pulling couches out to seating areas/arrangements and maintaining ease of flow and movement between furniture. And my response is always: okay, but which? I mean, I can do one or the other, lol.

Regarding Feng Shui and mirrors, here are two tips for the bedroom. 1. Never hang a mirror above your bed. A mirror corresponds to the water element in Feng Shui. Having water above your bed is similar to not being able to get your head above water, particularly as it relates to finances. Possible Result: Drowning in debt! 2. Never position a mirror in the bedroom where it reflects your bed. Doing so adds to the number of people in your bedroom. Possible Result: Inviting third parties into your romantic and/or intimate relationships or suffering from sleep disturbances! If you live in a space where mirrors are pre-installed on the front of your bedroom closet doors and they face your bed, find a way to cover them at night. One way to do this would be to hang curtains in front of your closet doors and then close them at night. I realize a lot of YouTubers’ apartment tour videos show a tall mirror against a wall facing the bed. The purpose may be to reflect more light and open up the space or to mimic current design trends of other influencers. However, I encourage you to either position the mirror where it won’t reflect your bed or to fully cover it by draping a large piece of cloth over it at night ! NOTE: Placing a mirror on the wall above a beside table as though you were hanging a piece of art is an option as long as it doesn’t reflect the bed.

This video is so helpful for those who have small space living room. My apartment is 5m by 5m. And the entry door is at the centre. It is hard for me to arrange my sofa. I bought the sofa without measuring the room. I have 2 large and 2 single sofa. The bath room,bedroom and kitchen are parallel to the living room. pls give me idea how to arrange the space with this all materials.

I have a long narrow living room which is dived into living room and home office. I would like to put a fireplace at the wall which is opposite to the office desk and mount a mirror above it.
