Don’t buy art from homesense…. It’s still mass produced. Buy art from your local artist or try making it yourself!

‘Boob lights’ aren’t a thing in the UK – they actually look vintage and stylish. 🤔

  3. Vickie S on February 15, 2022 at 10:59 pm

I detest nipple lights. I do not have any in my home bc I took them all out!

  9. Christina Morgan on February 15, 2022 at 11:03 pm

About shoes…most house layouts are so bad, that you have this to y slim corridor next to the door and can’t afford even 10 cm deep IKEA shoes cabinet. Never can understand why people keep buying such houses?

I look around my space, and realize most everything I have tells a story. It’s been cobbled together over the years into a collection that just WORKS. Much of it was given to me by loved ones, and much of it is handmade. I have many quality pieces from second- hand stores, but most of it was free. Lots of light, color, and healthy, happy plants round out my cozy home. Visitors seem very comfortable. It’s uniquely me, and, to me, this makes it good design.

FURNITURE AWAY from the WALLS is the best tip you gave. Very few decorators do this. Thank you. I’ve even seen a queen bed planted in the centre of a bedroom. The head board served as a backside aginst the dresser, which in turn created a dressing area. It was closest to the window so it got good light. And the bed area remained a bit darker. VERY Cool! Personally ALL of my one-room home is decorated / divided up by having all the furnishings are away from the walls and centered down the room’s length. You can see lots of wall-to-floor, making the place feel larger and airier. It has flow.

  26. Smart Donkey on February 15, 2022 at 11:21 pm

Boob lights are from the 2010s. They are supposed ro be reminiscent of the 1920’s. I love boob lights bc i am going for a craftsman look.

  34. Gilly Riddington on February 15, 2022 at 11:29 pm

what about 2nd hand. Not buying new is the way to go to mitigate climate change. we in the west are very big consumers and we should encourage reuse.
