I’m a renter and the tension rods I’ve done before but looks like they come a long way. I like the ones that look like actual curtain rods but without effecting the walls or window frame. Also the patio /balcony stick-able flooring idea – Yes!!

  3. Serenity Gray on February 4, 2021 at 10:29 pm

I like the idea of peel & stick wallpaper but I have textured walls

Changing light fixtures isn’t a walk in the park! Is there a junction box? Are the wires old and brittle? Do you have electrical tape and marretts?

  9. Thandeka Malinga on February 4, 2021 at 10:33 pm

    Absolutely love these. Thanks 😃

  10. Gigi Devoe on February 4, 2021 at 10:35 pm

Great ideas but also BS anything that has adhesive will leave a sticky residue that will need to be removed from the surface it was stuck to.!

As someone who has been in a rental space before, I approve of this message.

    What about lighting ?

  16. Kim T on February 4, 2021 at 10:40 pm

Be cautious with peel and stick; we have walls/dry wall. Paint comes off like with anything. So anything you put on these walls (they’re like cardboard). Get ready to have some extra paint (of the same color as the wall)-when you go take this stuff off.

  17. DelilahZoe on February 4, 2021 at 10:42 pm

    Affordable home decor for everyone.

  19. Angel Eyes on February 4, 2021 at 10:46 pm

I wish I could put wallpaper on my walls. They are not smooth. 🙁

  21. Mary Swisher on February 4, 2021 at 10:49 pm

I rent, but all the walls are textured. I find it difficult to hang things on the wall. Command hooks do not seem to work because of the texture. I like the tension rod idea. I saw one that extended from the window. My windows all have blinds. Those types of rods would allow me to hang curtains on the windows.

  22. Amy Shafer on February 4, 2021 at 10:52 pm

I’m contemplating the back splash and removing the cabinet doors. Have a beautiful new apartment but kitchen is pretty sad. I put contact paper on the counters to cover ugly, stained counters so far.

  23. Tracey Doneley on February 4, 2021 at 10:52 pm

I like them all, and hope to start with changing handles and tension rods 😄

  24. Kristen McGowan on February 4, 2021 at 10:56 pm

All your videos on decor are so informative. I’m your new susbcriber. We bought new home and wanted to do some budget friendly makeover projects in bathroom and on vanity. This peel and stick backsplash, tiles posted in your video are so informative. Thank you so much.

What fan you do to a dark closet without a light bulb. Am a renter.

  32. Lizette Morales on February 4, 2021 at 11:03 pm

I’m a renter & I’ve been at my place for 10 years. Not planning on moving any time soon, I’m blessed to have a great landlord that allows me to paint & hang stuff. I’ve been giving my apartment a facelift if you will lol, time to change things up after 10 years. I’m stuck with this hideous 70s peach tiles & black tile trim in 1 side of my kitchen wall that did not get redone when my kitchen was remodeled when I moved in. Looking forward on trying the peel & stick stickers! I just purchased replacement hardware for all my kitchen cabinets 🤩. You have given me some really great ideas! Love the tension rods, didn’t know that was a thing 😒 Thank you!!

  33. Meagan Murray on February 4, 2021 at 11:06 pm

I’m about to go from owning to renting, and these tips and tricks are excellent! I’m excited to get some awesome wallpaper for my room and my daughter room, tension rods for curtains, and possibly peel and stick tile! And an IKEA trip for some goodies 😍

  34. Michelle Bonsu on February 4, 2021 at 11:08 pm

I’ve changed my light fixtures in every apartment I’ve had. It’s an automatic feeling of home!

  35. The Beachy Farmhouse on February 4, 2021 at 11:10 pm

Missed this one so liked that i found it now. Liking the tips 💕😍😘

  36. WILLIAM BONNER on February 4, 2021 at 11:10 pm

Maybe the peel and stick for like an accent wall. Loved your ideas!

  37. Toni Wall on February 4, 2021 at 11:12 pm

I’m renting and have a damaged bathroom floor that the landlord doesn’t seem to want to fix. Part of the vinyl flooring has come unglued and ripped. Do you think the peel and stick tiles can be placed over the whole vinyl floor and look good even if the floor is uneven underneath?

  38. Chandler Nicole on February 4, 2021 at 11:13 pm

I rent and i just used some of the vinyl peel and stick flooring made my whole house feel different i love it i want to try the backsplash next

  39. joie de vivre on February 4, 2021 at 11:14 pm

As a Realtor this is great. New follower

  41. Mandie Wood-Donaldson on February 4, 2021 at 11:14 pm

I’m actually an apartment complex manager, so anytime they are ‘upgrading’ a unit, but not going tacky, I’m ok with it. The owner is pretty flexible on that. (Thank goodness)
I actually recently just started this position and working on ‘cleaning’ the place up. (Better tenants, painting, cleaning up junk) So these ideas are actually amazing. I’m all for tenants doing any of these things. So I definitely recommend people talking to their landlord or property manager. ❤

  42. The Cake Club on February 4, 2021 at 11:15 pm

Has anyone got experience of removing peel & stick tiles & splash backs? I feel like they’re an amazing idea but I feel like removing them after being down for a few years would be very difficult to remove. Also with splash backs I feel like it could take the paint off with them!

  43. Sadie R. Trego on February 4, 2021 at 11:16 pm

I just got my first rental in so long and I really like your tip, I think I’ll try find some peel and stick a and changing the handled on the cupboards that’s a great idea 💡 thanks

  44. Ashley Peterson on February 4, 2021 at 11:17 pm

Ha I love that I’ve been doing most of these things already just from being broke/lazy 😆

  45. Ja traveler on February 4, 2021 at 11:18 pm

Tension Curtain Rods… Brilliant. Thank you

  46. Mashandra Poindexter on February 4, 2021 at 11:21 pm

i never thought to take off the cabinet doors ! so happy i found this video!!!!!!

  47. Tiggy Winkle on February 4, 2021 at 11:21 pm

Any ideas on how to create a funky photo wall of framed family photo’s etc al la pintrest style without damaging walls or paintwork? I find the removeable sticky picture hooks damage the paint work….even when removed properly as per instructions on package ( used 3M picture hanging hooks).

  48. Lena Lu on February 4, 2021 at 11:22 pm

Are peel and stick floor tiles actually removable or renter friendly? I believe floorpop said that theirs aren’t, and I’ve seen comments from people who said it ruined their laminate flooring underneath because the adhesive was too strong. Anyone actually tried removing them? I love the idea, but I am very hesitant.

  49. Sharilyn Fritz on February 4, 2021 at 11:23 pm

Tiles over tiles is OK but will take the top layer of paper of drywall when you remove.

  50. Pandia 427 on February 4, 2021 at 11:23 pm

What if your rental doesn’t have hardware on cabinets at all!
