I have made my bed every morning before breakfast since childhood. Doing so, does set the tone for a more orderly day. Even if I plan to take it easy on weekends, knowing the bed is made enables a more relaxed mood.

I agree with all your tips because I am naturally super neat and organized!

Great video! I am trying to keep our kitchen countertops as free and clear as possible. We don’t have a pantry in our home. Any suggestions on how to organize kitchen cabinets? What is your set up (for inspiration)? Thanks!

Great tips! I love the idea of putting your keys on your donate pile so you don’t forget.

  11. MJ T on January 26, 2021 at 9:45 pm

I don’t have a junk drawer for the most part. I have a drawer in the kitchen that has a role of scotch tape, electrical tape, scissors, 2 extension cords.

  12. ToAbideInGod'sLoveMattersMost on January 26, 2021 at 9:46 pm

I like the tip about having fewer surfaces….but clear surfaces are also cool. A surface left intentionally clear is kinda sweet on my mind….

  13. Diane M on January 26, 2021 at 9:46 pm

Pile Shifter!!! Me too, just never realized it until you gave it a name!

  14. Josephine Hi on January 26, 2021 at 9:47 pm

  15. Sherrie Carr on January 26, 2021 at 9:48 pm

This is the first video I have seen from you. And I subscribed and mark the Bell. And I will continue to watch you for now. I have a suggestion from this last video about possibly going around and showing exactly what you’re talking about because surfaces to me might be different than surfaces to you. Just an idea. Thanks so much I can always use help when it comes to ideas and clutter. I really really really like the idea of waiting 24 hours. I think that that is one of the best things that I’m going to take away from this video this time. Thanks so much and God bless.

I did the trunk thing and would end up driving with donations for 4 months.

I don’t make my bed for at least 2 hours after I get up
I take all the bedding off and let the mattress air
And then I make my bed
Its so easy making your bed

I say I am not a gunky person, but I am a cluttered person. I move piles around, too, but I too am working on it for my hubby. You encourage me and inspire me so much!

  22. Fabian on January 26, 2021 at 9:58 pm

Many thanks, I’ve been looking for "organizing clutter" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried – Vanonnor Tenhloe Equalizer – (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my mate got excellent results with it.

  27. Lala Lo on January 26, 2021 at 10:08 pm

I got hand me downs from my mom like half her closet. Things didn’t fit her, was worn out, shrinked just stuff she didn’t wear. Few days later I donated it all but 3 items. I didn’t tell her cuz she felt good giving them to me. If she notices I’ll explain she needed to move on never used it or missed it. She always says whatever u end up not using give it back maybe I’ll use it one day. Idk plz tell if I’m wrong? I hope I made the right decision in not giving it all back.
It runs in the family. My sis does the same thing she gave me a bikini and jacket from when she was in her teens now is 34 and it doesn’t fit her but she said if u someday don’t want it to give it back yet she hasn’t used it in forever

I really enjoyed hearing these tips and will start using them today. Thank you!

  32. Lifewrangling on January 26, 2021 at 10:10 pm

Definitely agree with the need to tidy up as you go. I find this stops me feeling exhausted and unmotivated at the end of a task which can lead to the desire to ‘do it later’. We all know how that turns out. Thanks for the tips.

I wish I had a pantry too. It must be such a clutter-reducer in the kitchen

  34. Jessica Bulloch on January 26, 2021 at 10:12 pm

I say" no "to the junk draw, but yes to the junk purse, i guess they’re both the same. Thanks for your ideas

  35. Lizzy Stardust on January 26, 2021 at 10:14 pm

Paper Karma is an app for unsubscribing from junk mail! All you do is take a pic of the address/company sending you unwanted mail and the app does the rest. Awesome.

Thanks for 14 tips, this is a checklist for living.

  40. Wendy Humphreys Tebbutt on January 26, 2021 at 10:21 pm

You’ve got great ideas :-). Just a quick observation (since I live in a drought area), when washing your jug you would save a LOT of water if you simply wet the jug, turn off the water, scrub the jub, then turn on the water to rinse the jug. The same thing would apply to things like brushing your teeth. Thanks for your video.

I love your kitchen table and chairs where did u buy them?:)

  42. Jeanmarie Todd on January 26, 2021 at 10:24 pm

There are online resources for cancelling catalogs. Just google "cancel catalogs" or "stop junk mail" or something similar and you’ll find them. SOME companies have a link on their websites to cancel the catalog, but most don’t. You can also email them through their website and ask to be taken off. Sometimes you have to ask more than once, but most will comply. They don’t want to piss you off because you might still be a customer even if you don’t want catalogs mailed to you.

I have my toaster on a small metal tray and I can move it around to put it away without leaving a trail of crumbs

  44. Janette Lavender on January 26, 2021 at 10:28 pm

I designated a small drawer in the kitchen for all bills, receipts and things need to file and scan. Paper is all out of sight meaning its not nagging me for a month as it sits in a pile. When it comes time to pay the bills (once a month) I pull them all out of the drawer, pay them, shred what we don’t need, scan the support we must keep for taxes, rebates and matching to the credit cards. I deal with it all once a month. We have an office upstairs but having this holding spot has saved our sanity. We always know where things are and paper no longer piles up. The office stays more organized too because we only keep what we absolutely need and there are no piles to contend with. We are both self employed and have a home based business etc so we must keep business related receipts in some sort of file be it electronic or otherwise. Any paper we don’t have to keep gets dealt with as soon as it comes in the house. Little changes can make a big difference in managing a home.
    Some good info here. 👍🏻

I know someone who constantly forces hamidowns on me even though I say no. So, then they just leave it somewhere in my home when I’m not looking and they leave. Then I find it and I hold on to it with the intent to donate it, but I don’t have a car that just allows me to go anywhere whenever I please. So, it just sits there because I’d feel guilty about throwing it away and polluting the earth. Every time I look at the unwanted item my hatred for that person grows and it puts a strain on our friendship.

Winner of a video, I have been researching "how to remove clutter from bedroom" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried – Vanonnor Tenhloe Equalizer – (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got excellent results with it.
