1920's Great Gatsby Apartment MAKEOVER!
1920's Great Gatsby Apartment MAKEOVER!
I have given my new apartment a 1920’s makeover transformation to fit my love for vintage and my love for the book and movie, The Great Gatsby. After doing a lot of research, I found the best way to decorate my small one bedroom apartment into this art deco dream on a budget!
Disclaimer: because I won’t be living here all too long, I decided to save money by leaving the bedroom simple which is why it was not featured in today’s video so that allowed me to be more focused on making my common area space inviting and retro for when company comes over to party!

Are you sure you weren’t born in the wrong century…
Also I love the apartment π
jess can i have mable
I love your apartment!!! It looks so good!!
Have you considered hanging your curtain rod higher?
I think if you put it about 7-10 inches above your window frame it will give the illusion of higher ceilings making your apartment look more luxurious.
Iβm very curious Jessica, what do you do with your previous apartment items? Do you sell them or put into storage?
She’s a queen! and maple is sooooo cuteee!
Looking good, but please please add some plant and rugs π€
ok now i wanna see the bedroom π
LOVE ALL THESE PIECES!!! If you change your mind and want to have a dining table, one with rounded corners and a bench would be so lovely in the space where the writer’s desk is. You could even pop the desk in front of the window, so you can keep the aesthetic of everything and maximize space as you grow/entertainment space is needed. π
so cute!
I’m so fricking jealous of those titanic pictures
Good evening.. You actually have some luxurious items.. Exquisite taste…
Loooooooovw IT!!! (Wheezy Dragon Tales voice) πππ
Wow! I would’ve loved to see the bedroom.
I wanna be rich π
I love it!
Maple is so cute ;;
Maybe in one of the food trays, there can be old fashioned savoury snacks, and in the other, old fashioned sweets
Maybe put plates in the thing in the kitchen
Sorry but GURL, CAN WE NOTICE THE CHAIR IN THE BACKGROUND! I JUST REALIZED I OWN LE SAME ONE O.O
If you hadn’t told me you were decorating it in 1920 style I never would have thought that’s what you were going for just by looking at it. It’s cute though. The blankets,, couch and Tv stand are full on early 2000’s
You should definitely do a story time on what happened, because you out SO much work into that apartment π₯Ί
Somebody knows what happened to her and her old house?
anyone else upset that she hung the clock upside down?
If I had a Flat (apartment in other words) of my own that I would decorate to a particular period in time, it would be the the mid 1980’s to early 90’s era
I don’t think you could’ve chosen a cat that, at least visually, fits you more. She’s so adorable and I’m excited to see her in every video, stealing the show as any cat with that energy could.
The 1920’s is one of my favorite times in history because of the style, music, and progressiveness. You really have that art deco feel all throughout the apartment. It looks great.
the clock is up side down…
Itβs the young and beautiful music for me that really made me emotional. Everything looks elegant β¨ absolutely lovely! π₯
Omggg i been thinking about wanting to redecorate my room into a vintage style and legit the way you styled your apparent is everything the way Iβd want mine!!! You have incredible style and its soo much inspo!ππ₯Ί Great job!!
I will be grateful if you checked you email & Instagram DM
Love it! <3
just watched this… it’s lovely makes a change from seeing the same one’s white and cream with plants … you have vision and not going with the flow have your own style(well 20’s)… and not following the trend…. nice x
Love it! I got some ideas now for my room π
Did anyone else notice the clock was put on the wall upside down? I’m sure she noticed and fixed it afterwards π Overall the aesthetic of these rooms are so cute and classy πππ
I LOVE how you designed your apartment. Makes me want to sit there with a book and listen to vintage music! One thing you might be able to do if your landlord allows, is change out the handles and knobs in your bathroom to fit your aesthetic.
Personally not for me but I can appreciate what you did to invoke the period style. Nice job!
You did a really marvelous job here! Congratulations.
Where is the art deco lamp from? Love it π
‘Wickedly Dated’ – never heard that term before – I love it!
I realized you forgot one thing. A lidded dish full of nuts on your coffee table. Along with cheese and olives nuts were popular snacks for when you entertain.
3:21 OH MY GOD THE CAT * faints*
Brilliant!! Thoroughly enjoyed watching this!
Love this!
I would love to know where you got the Art Deco mirror. Iβm redoing my room with a modern theme but I want to add some vintage elements and this mirror is perfect!
Where did you find those Titanic prop photos?!
You know when they slow blink at you, their giving you kitty kisses. Literally, thatβs their way of affection.ππ±
