It turned out beautifully, but it is very feminine. I’d be interested to know whether her partner was comfortable or whether they made some changes in the long run.

Where did the TV go?
What happened to the TV? Pretty sure they didn’t ask for it to be removed but you just couldn’t figure out how to incorporate it into the space. I see others have also mentioned the lack clothing rack and making the space more cat friendly (i.e. a scratching pole)… I guess those items didn’t fit your played out boho aesthetic either? Or did you not receive any sponsorship for those items?

Hey guys! Noticed a lot of you wondering about the tv. As Alexandra mentioned in the video, we were waiting on a tv stand that Jordan and I ordered and it arrived a few days after the makeover took place. It’s now sitting on the console table/dresser and looks great! We knew this going into the reveal and agreed that we would add it afterwards. We’ve been watching tons of Netflix and enjoying the beautiful gallery wall behind it 🙂

Looks beautiful, but not sure it is practical with the cats. Where did the clothing rack go? Litter box? A cat tree is needed. What is the fabric in the sofa? Is it cat friendly?
This is beautiful but it looks extremely feminine, does the boyfriend even live there? This space doesn’t look like it incorporates any of this style

when you style a room and finish a makeover, are you styling it with mostly items they already have? where is all their stuff?
This is beautiful. Clean. And the pop of green in the sofa. Is elegant and makes a statement. I may have considered flip/flopping the sofa and the dresser, if it isnt a chucky piece In width. Draped a curtain as a back drop and they could have a place for their tv. Grant you if outlets permitted. Its fresh and inviting. Amazing job.

Love your makeovers, just curious why you remove their television… I see a lot of interior decorators do that, and the client always puts it back. Wouldn’t it make more sense to just incorporate it into the design?
Thank you for this video! I’m moving into a 590 sq. foot apartment and looking online at that size and smaller for ideas for design-planning. It’s giving me a lot of inspiration and hope to see units that are smaller than 590 being taken a made into cozy spaces for living so I can see all the possibilities.
None of what you did to Alana’s apartment is my style AT ALLLL but I love the core ideas you implemented. The rug, the leg-adding, the DIYing the drawer knobs to match the leg color, the drop leaf table, and making your own headboard! impressive!
No furniture for the cats no scratchers and anything the cat had owned as its own territory and soaked with its scent is gone.. cant imagine the stress the cats going through in new territory without any established basecamp and no vertical space to own besides thw window.
With a studio apartment, the first thing I would do is get a smaller bed. I mean, sure, a single bed can’t accommodate a couple, but then I feel like a studio apartment can’t accommodate a couple either. Or maybe get a murphy bed or a couch that folds out into a bed… But that’s just my take.
Did you attach the ikea dresser to the wall mount for anti tip over?
ahhhhh changing the batteries in that light is going to be sooo awful! Those little wine-cork-string-lights have a screw to change the batteries and you hot glued it into the bowl so it’s going to need some maneuvering or to be taken out and reglued everytime. i would have used one of those long cords with a bulb on one end and a plug on the other and maybe wrap the cord in twine.
I loved the after but what about the cat? The needs a scratching post and toys.
