Mike has lived in vans for years now after having an epiphany at the top of a mountain he went and sold most of his possessions and bought a class B motorhome and began traveling north America. Since then he bought a few other vans and is now traveling and living in the DIY camper that you see in this video. The van was originally used as a telecommunication van and so Mike used the metal cabinets that were already in it to build out the majority of the van and added some extra parts like his 3000 watt inverter, his solar, and 4 6 volt golf cart batteries.

Love this dude. Pisses in the sink. U gotta have double or triple uses for everything. You are so right. I’ve heard all these van life fakes say it too. The ones that spend 80k and love ti say how much work they did. Love this dude.
A wise man, very resourceful and adaptable.
thank you for talking about your matress i cannot stand it when van lifers talk about foam and matress covers as they are the most comfortable thing in the world no they arent and i feel like those people are going to have massive back problems later in life also foam degrades gets gross and sleeps hot i am allergic to foam it gives me hives lol and it attracts mold
I used to piss down the sink in my conversion too. Stopped doing that shortly after because the smell would stay in the drain pipe, even after bleeching the lines.
Wise guy
Classic Sigma Male sarcasm. ๐ Cool Dude and ride!
Love the faux drawer for your fridge , cleverโฃ๏ธ and yes Iโm 60 I got a 10 inch memory foam mattress that I cut down๐
NOOOO โผ๏ธโผ๏ธโผ๏ธdouble use of the sink as a pee funnel TMI ๐๐๐๐๐
The fact this is a trend is mindboggling…I can understand out of necessity but because for "freedom and experience" self actualization nonsense in a time of peace and abundance in America is absolutely moronic and will be a regret for that person. If your life choices led you to a sapped mundane brainwashed life….living the van life or aimless lifestyle is taking your mundane brainwashed boring self with you. Some people have had to do this out of necessity but not because one chooses to not have a place of settlement. You can be settled and still live a meaningful life even with a spouse….its just people are so ungrateful and ever comparing their weak selves to others or the illusion status quo so never amount to much or feel fulfilled. People are fools indeed in the end.
Love this conceptual outlook Iโm with you TRUE FREEDOM โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
He LOVES to say, "Right!" Right?
The ‘right’ drinking game!!
You’ve given me ideas for buying another van. I’m not full-timing yet, but…. Thanks!
Wise man.
Like his way of thinking!!
This is what appeals to me about van life I hate my neighbours at the moment but I am stuck if I did the van life for a bit I could just move around wherever I wanted and not deal with anyone if I donโt want to
I really agree with liking the freedom of moving when and where you want. Been living in my 25 foot class A Winnebago Warrior going on my 4th year. Living the dream with my little dog Tinkerbell filming what I see and experience in our travels through 9 western states so far.
I understand businesses not wanting dwelling vehicles parked on their lots . Its a liability issue . Stealth camping seems stressful . Counter intuitive to free living . HOMELESS is a misnomer , LANDLESS is more appropriate .
Interesting dude.
Nice set up
I like ur build compared to the others and very noice
The musky clam el be riding soon brah. Please like and support da musky clam thanks
Dark. Living in a tool closet. Depressing! Ack!
That’s beautiful man..You turned a mobile work shop into a home on wheels…Thanks for all the great tips…Enjoy an be safe,…
Seems claustrophobic, not much room to move around. TV is too big for such a tight space. The more popular layout with the bed in back from wall to wall provides much more room and visually open- looking
You canโt live in a van ๐ itโs illegal!
Nice video, thank you ๐๐ผ
Wow
I’m sure I heard him wrong but did he say he used his sink as a URINAL?
great! finally i found men"s conversion van. id be very conformable living in there.
Awesome! Self contained stealth home!

I really enjoy you folks that refuse to be a bank/lenders bit^h. Refuse to ‘play the game’. Most are blowing through their 40s, 50s even into their 70’s – doing nothing but paying for ‘things’ on time. I heard way to often from older people to DO NOT wait for retirement to finally live your life. I don’t know if today is Tuesday, or Saturday. Living for the weekend or that corporate 2 week annual vacation is a f#kking miserable existence. Well, at least for me it was. RUGER
EDIT: Grammar and syntax
right

Exactly what Mike says about just do it. Those are the magic words. I bought my van this summer and I did what I thought I needed and headed out on the road. The peace and freedom was just fantastic and I came home after that 6 day venture and I found the need to just hit the road again. The basics and build it as u go is the best advice and I am adding those needed additions for 2022. Then heading out on the road for new adventures and meeting others on the same journey.
Thanks man you said what i was thinking ๐
‘The trail prepared me for what it needed me to be’ Very interesting statement. Nice video, i enjoyed it. Greetings from sunny Jamaica.
Thank you for all your videos, you’re consistently putting out great content like this and it’s appreciated!
The main thing to have is a shower and bathroom in my opinion , to be comfortable.
What an interesting, warm and likeable man Mike is, with his clear outlook and simple, enjoyable lifestyle and wonderful travel cabin.
Everything he said is right, and he’s got a lovely way of expressing those things which some may fret over, delay and avoid.
The joy his life gives him is clear to see and I think that he’s happier now than at any other time in his life, and that’s because life has prepared him for his way of living and he recognised and accepted it.
Thank you for interviewing this fascinating man, whom many will be inspired by (myself included!).
Definitely my man I know what you’re saying. I had to let that old ball and chain hag go. She had once served her purpose but it wasn’t my best interest to keep her around. Love your camper nicely done my man.
You are a very wise man let it go
Very cool. Where would one look to buy a used van like that with the high headroom? Thanks, Greg
Great Vid
Great advice
I just started a "partial" build on my Chevy van. It’s going to be very minimalist because I do have a 22 foot travel trailer too. The van will be use for quickie camping trips. The van is just too small.
Amen.
You seem to be at peace and very happy to boot!
Nice van for your travel ๐ Vankenstein! Hilarious!!
