I admire your bravery. Idk if I could sleep there with the thoughts of all those creepy crawleys visiting overnight. I’m not a fan of spiders and bugs. I love the Hoh rainforest but don’t think I could stay there overnight.

For fire 1 is none. I would not trust that fire starter plan. I would have a back up system. What about flashlights lanterns and a heat source?
First of all I would have found 2 trees a little closer and farther off the trail second I would have dumped the air mattress and picked up some contractors garage bags to put leaves in for padding

Good vedio, from my experience in similar situation I know that vedgatarens simply cook their meat longer, lol. Some mesh over the end of the tent would have saved some bugs, a lot of bugs and I’m surprised the twine held up as your ridge line since it’s only good for about 20 pounds of pressure. Other then that you 2 made a lot of good choices, and you made them WITH LOVE. New subscriber, here.
