Can you help me renting apartment I’m live alone I’m trying to can you help me
You sound just like Tom Cruise
I’m watching this video and I’m moving into my 3rd apartment’
That’s so smart! The afternoon visit is clever. I too am sensitive to noise and definitely will do that!
If you see window air conditoners then you know the apartment manager only cares about your money and doesn’t doesn’t spend any on replacement parts and maintenance
No smoking or no burning, so does that mean no insense or sage burning to cleans the space??
Sounds like snoopy neighbors not minding their business and just miserable about everything if the people had children and they were outside on a weekend you will probably complain it’s really sad🤷🏽♀️
Your neighbor is a pot head lol
I’m going today at 1130am.. I might need some help picking which unit to pick
Me and my fiancee recently leased an apartment three months ago, and we absolutely regret it. The noisy upstairs neighbors, the rent is extremely high, we’re not even in there most of the time, it’s just not worth it anymore. I’m terrified of breaking the lease 😭
Good advice, thanks for making the video.
If you ask management about prior complaints are they obligated to tell your or can they just lie?
This video is so helpful! I’m 71 years old and have owned houses and lived in a lot of apartments, yet I still learned so much from this video!
My neighbor fight and scream at each other all the time. It’s terrifying and I’m moving out☹️
Can you burn candles?
Can you gave me any tips for get a apartment me and my girlfriend are looking for one in a good Price
Thanks for the tips Mike and Brit!
“see the space before you sign the contract”
*laughs in big city where I have to be put on a list 4 months in advance to get a apartment*
@ mike and brit, what does it mean when you were not asked to pay a security deposit?
Recently approved for my first apartment. All I’ve had to pay is the application fee. No deposit, no admin fee.
I mean I’m glad I’m not having to pay a bunch of upfront fees but will they try to charge me a fortune if I move out?
Thanks 4 da advice. Nice couple…..
lol what.. all of this is obvious advice
Unless you are a smart shopper you get what you pay for or you will pay sucker prices. The cheaper slum plexes look for ways to save money while squeezing more money out of you
Dont accept a unit that has a bad smell .it must be neutral if it isnt a new apartment. ( bad smell in the 1rst unit is a sign there is a flooding issue in that unit. )
Never rent from an apartment if there idea of remodeling is painting the inside of the tub and sink. ( you be constantly cleaning off old paint and will contribute to drain problems)
Never rent the first unit in a particular section ( because all of the other units drain into a central location inside the 1rst unit on the 1rst floor. )
Checkout the mailboxes to see if they are secured ( if not you know it’s a slumplex )
See if people are allowed to drive and park their vehicles on the grass
Checkout the license plates to see if there is some that are expired, see if the cars are broken down
The place my husband just looked at was advertised as brand new … He went to view it and he said it was like they played jigsaw puzzle with the carpet and the mirrors were shattered in both bathrooms. Haha lesson learned…do not trust the advertisement!!!
I liked a lot of these tips.. although there seemed to be an overemphasis on personal preference rather than realistic expectation. For a lot of people who don’t have a lot of expendable income, such as myself, a lot of these tips should be secondary when compared to more practical matters such as finding an apartment that may or may not have in unit laundry, covers utilities, is in a nondangerous area, has basic amenities, no hidden or extravagant fees. Those are some of the kinds of things that are typically most overlooked when people are searching for a new apartment, and even more especially when one is searching for their first apartment.
they wont let me see the place before signing because it wont be ready. i feel like they are trying to screw me around.
Honestly I don’t care how it looks. What I am really hoping is someone accepting me given it’s my first time renting.
7:00 I’m that neighbor 🤪 420 everyday
If you’re going to complain about this what’s going to happen when you have children🤷🏽♀️😩
I am moving out the end of the month and I need to find a new apartment haven’t moved in long time I moved only three times we need help so I can move out I have a cat I don’t want to use housing or income housing I need my own washer and dryer in the unit or dishwasher hardware floors or tile or stuff like that two bedrooms one big bath one big kitchen stuff like that I live in Cheyenne Wyoming I have a disability and I am On Social Security and thank you for your help
You should change the title of the video to ; 7 things you must do before leasing an apartment if you can find an apartment .
Smell around the cabinets haha now if it’s crack they are smoking I get it but is it’s just some good ole weed, no big deal. I mean I don’t smoke weed anymore but the smell it’s actually really good to me aha
Hey Guys Another This I live In Michigan But In South Gate As Soon as You enter their city smells cause it’s full of factories don’t forget the smell of the area who want to smell bs when they wake up or open a window
I feel like management wouldn’t tell you about previous complaints… Am I crazy ?
Bro looking like tj hunt
So how would you time this for moving to a new area? I was thinking visit area and several apartment complexes a few months before move date. Figure out which I like best and apply. When it comes time to sign visit again to see specific apartment. Would this usually be a month before move date or how long? What if I don’t like that unit, scramble to get new one or move on to 2nd choice complex? Thanks 😊
Great video and very informative. Thank you and subscribed
Anyone else getting evicted?
Smell the cabinets
Thanks, nice coup
In my apartment they said we had a ac but It was fake
those were good advices 👍
Why are almost all the vidoes about this topic only women 🤔 I just think men definitely will have a different buying experience
What about wax warmer it not burning
Is it suspicious that the apartment leaser didn’t want to set up a time with me on a weekday in the evening? It was so I could go see it at 5:30 after work and they kept trying to throw earlier times at me. I’m seeing my first apartment tomorrow at 12 noon.
Can’t believe people would rent/buy do anything before actually seeing the place first
How to make it private I m on top floor but I now realized everyone can see in the other buildings the way it’s places☹️ idk what to do now
I think if you have this much of a problem with hearing the existence of your neighbors, an apartment is not for you 😆
great tips thanks for the vid
Any other teenagers or preteens watching because they hate it at home? Or you just want your own freedom? I kinda wanna move in with my friends when I get older in a small apartment or hotel and then we can all eventually get our own place but idk
