that strange purple/grey colour looks great on you!
LOL…Diffinately I’ll Use Always What" I Love"; š« Not What’s on Trend: because trends go in & out..!!!!
.But Real Love, Last for Eternity !!!
All Designs are One Day Your In, Next Your Out that’s why I Love my Plants, etc
Because What You Love You Keep !!! Then Everyone’s back wanting "Your Look"; thus On Trend Again !!!
i get that limewash is popular but none of my friends or colleagues know what it is. I just like washed my living room last week. I just donāt think a trend can be over if 99% of the population is unaware of it
If you like itā¦..love it!
LOVE LOVE LOVE my plastered walls. My house is french country modern. It looks fab!
Thank God the Olive tree is cancelled is too expensive.
Thatās the real truth behind the canceled bust trend: weāre all out of shape since the pandemic and weāre tired of looking at perfection while we eat cheesecake and binge on Netflix.
I’m with you on the fake tree–it’s easy enough to grow hardy plants for indoors anyways. My eye spots them the second I walk into a room…uggh. Thanks for your great advice–all of it made sense tonight!
What about the paddle fan plant?
What indoor trees to you recommend instead of the faux olive?
Most cannot change like the wind.
Orrrrrrr donāt worry whatās āpopular or notā and do what you want…..
If you like it itās relevant
You are always so funny !!!
When we bought our house, we had purchased allll these lamps. Too many lamps. We need one in the living room and some on each side of the bed, but other that, its overkill I think from a cleaning perspective
Thank God we got RID OFF the FAKE PLANTS! I am not offended if you use FAKE plants, I just think it is horrid looking! When there are so many gorgeous real plantsā¦
I love some trends, but I have always only decorated with what I like, I do not care to have ( Some mystery designer magazine or whoever) tell me what they think should be canceled.
I’m canceling them lol
I love your floor mirror, so happy you are keeping this expensive item and not caving in to designer pier pressure!
Faux olive trees were never in style. Donāt care- they suck. No one is fooled- RH discontinued thereās because itās out. Buy a real olive tree for $130, put it in a pot by a sunny window and have olives you can eat and have life in your home. And btw- just fill your home with things you love. But not fake crapā¦ š
Did anyone notice the cute lamp next to the faux Olive tree? I like it.
I love the Grand Floor Mirrors- deoepends hiw you use it! And where! Do not care a
I’m 70 years old. My mother chose a sputnik chandelier for our tiny home. The style went. It came back. It’ll be back again.
My parents have had that bust of the woman in the hat since 1982. š¤·š»āāļø
The amount of times I heard the word "cancelled" in this video broke my heart. It’s not canceled of we don’t believe whoever is canceling it. Power in numbers, please resist fast furniture and consumerism, a good place to start is to stop talking about "things that just came out that are already ‘cancelled’" let’s make sustainability the biggest trend that will never dieš
Buy what you like that makes you happy. If it looks good to you and you like it ,doesnāt matter what anyone says. And no shade to the video person I like your channel .
I love all of those! Except the fake olive but i did consider buying one.
Those chandeliers drove me nuts. Lol
Grand floor mirror in my entryway – this baby is the vibe since the entryway has a long wall that opens up the 2nd floor. It balances that huge space while making the entryway feel bigger š¤ but that’s my only thing on this list!
Perfect example of why you should go with what you love and not chase trends
Lime washed walls are non toxic unlike paint! Donāt cancel this!
i haven’t even saved up enough to buy it yet!!
Some of these items are not cancelled for me! Thanks for video!!!
I couldnt be without my task lamp, for when i read or crochet.
Task lighting is everything. Sorry, I don’t follow trends for every week/month like clothing industry. I bought a home and need to fill it in – so I get advice from influencers and make a taught decision as buying bit ticket items example sofa, coffee table, table etc., because I am keeping my items for a long time. I don’t have the time, bandwidth and money to spend.
nope mirror stays!!
I’m keeping my mirror…
People who follow interior design trends to decorate their houses are not very imaginative.
Lol she canceled all beautiful things. And what are we left with miss? What according to you is āinā in 2022?
You are so delightful, Kiva! Smart, funny, intelligent, so well informed, and beautiful. Always instructive. Great video. Thank youā¤ļø
lame do what looks nice. If you change your mind every two seconds you have no opinion because you’re completely indecisive. Also, events can be cancelled appointments can be canceled but a style cannot be canceled.
It sounds like people are buying cheap or new busts when it comes to busts always buy antique they are better quality and cheaper
Nothing I love will EVER be cancelled š
Interesting but stupid as Colonel Klink used to say. My take is that people that make their living coming up with designs are not successful by producing the same thing over and over, nobody would be persuaded to buy more. They are constantly having to come up with something new and different. What puzzles me is that they all do the same thingsā¦same new color palettes, same decorative pieces, etc. Buy what resonates with you and tweak overtime and refresh but not because you are told to.
I have the 1st grand mirror featured. I purchased it 20 years ago. For 7 years his has been in a corner of a seldom-used bedroom. I had no Ideal it was back in style and then left. LOL.
I can see what you’re saying with most of these and I love that you disagree with so many of them. I don’t think most of them are cancelled in the sense that they’d be considered dated or tacky, but I’m thinking we just won’t see them in everyyy home remodel or new build on Instagram. I’m noticing a lot of those look similar and I think that’s part of what’s driving these "trends" right now, even though some of them are probably classics that are here to stay
Iām a new subscriber. I had none of the canceled things. I would love a larger mirror. But when you live in a small home, where would I put it? I used to have a fake ficus. I would rather just have a real one. I have only overhead lights. And I donāt like them. I canāt see a magazine or a book. Iām buying some table lamps. I hope they donāt get canceled soon. Iām getting an e reader to read. I donāt want a house full of books. But I may need light to see the e reader. I hope my husband understands when boxes with lamps in them come here. I live in the country and usually buy everything online. And he doesnāt know until things arrive.
I love all of these ācanceledā decor items. š¤·š¼āāļø
Personally, that "fluted" look went out somewhere in the 70’s didn’t even knew it came back. Sputnik chandeliers were always ugly. Sorry.
Faux plants of any kind, bad. Now if you had a real olive tree…..
Clean smooth surfaces, a crystal chandelier, and real plants, never go out of style.
I love design but it all ends up being so elitist and exhausting. It would be nice if people had actual style.
The environment can not afford yāall fast fashion tastes in interiors. As an interior designer it is absolutely irresponsible to co-sign this nonsense.
This was a helpful video and I love the way you convey ideas! You’re beautiful, too š Thank you!
