Such transformation with under 15K is amazing, well done!!! you nailed it!!
Anybody spot the pull-up bar? 👀
Inspiring
Not much more you can do with such a small space, I can’t help but wonder why they chose to buy such an unsuitable apartment. Babies only sleep in cribs for the first 3-6 months, not sure a cot is going to fit in that cupboard area afterwards
Wow! All this in just 30 sqm? A really beautiful solution! Love the baby sleeping area!
Not appropriate to live with a child
This is definitely larger than 330sqft
Oh wow!! Amazing 👏
I don’t get what it is about new York that people think living in a box is ok.
iwant to see the actual finished unit. This is a challenging space
Nice and functional redesign for a single person who works from home. Definitely not enough space for a couple with a baby, but the designer did a good job with what he had to work with.
lmao I give it a month before roaches and rats infest their apartment again
the bathroom?
Wow… I’m impressed!
"So, where should we raise our baby?" "How about New York?" 🤣
Love your ideas and designs.
The temptation to get you to redesign my apartment. My kitchen is Awful and makes the layout so difficult.
Maybe…. Maaaaaybe
This is an amazing transformation. My only concern is that a nursery is really only useful for about 2 years, afterwards the kid begins needing a regular bed.
Brilliant. A little cringe-y when I saw the crib in the closet alcove, but everything else seemed sensible and on-budget and providing good work and living space.
I can’t believe the result. Absolutely STUNNING!
I love how you describe your thinking process so that we can understand the reasons you had to make particular decisions. I will definitely use some of your ideas in my place. THANK YOU!
I was really hoping he’d use the murphy bed lol
No shade, but yes actually shade, they could easily get a 2 room, kitchen, bathroom apartment for half the price in Amsterdam or heck even outside of NYC if they wanna live in America so bad.
It just doesn’t make sense, the child is gonna grow, youre gonna have to move, why would you remodel a tiny apartment in the middle of the city
Hello, I really like your rendering style for this video…which rendering software do you use post sketchup modelling?
The wood screen can have movable panels like louvres.
Very good JOB
Brillant
Did he say a small budget of 15 THOUSAND dollars 🤦🏾♀️
Bro put da baby in da closet 😂😂💀💀💀
Not sure about having the crib right next to the front door.
I think this couple are insane for choosing this apartment with a little one.
Rather than having a full kitchen area I’d take inspiration from static caravans and have a kitchen corridor. Then make a small area for a single bed.
6:16 actually growing to dislike beds. Mattresses are fixed and you kind of have to adjust to a mattress or hope that it’s perfect for you, not to mention the amount of space they take up.
I’m actually looking to try and sleep the Japanese way, i.e. on futons. That way, you get much more space of a room during the day, while being able to adjust the amount of softness of the actual bedding.
I think I wuld extend the lower rise into a second desk. You really want your own space when working. Otherwise, brilliant use of space! Maybe do some more audio proofing around the baby with padding on the wall. Helps the neighbours with the noise as well, because the crying in that space can get quite echo-y.
as I new yorker I applaud it! great great reno
Hey new parents, if your baby grows up with the normal amount of noise they do learn to sleep through it. Never be quiet "for a baby" as this is an unnecessary "modern" idea.
I love your redesign..where to get those white furniture and white kitchen …I am looking for such white for my kitchen bathroom and livingroom
I can’t say that I’m agree 100% with the design but I gotta say it is hard to design with newborn/toddler in mind.
As long as the client happy with it, I guess it is good enough.
Nicely done.
The bathroom has a skylight , so the child’s room should be in the bathroom, and the bathroom should be moved to the place of the wardrobe. The child in the closet has no daylight or air.
they will soon find this apt is just too small for 3 member family. just 5 sqm more for space of another bedroom would have made a total difference. as a hongkonger we know better about small apts.
Here’s an even better tip for the new parents. Don’t be quiet around your baby. Get the accustomed to sound. Yeah, you’ll wake them up a few times at first, then they’ll get accustomed to it, and pretty soon you’ll have a kiddo who sleeps through your vacuuming.
Are you kidding me ? That is crazy you managed to design this, very impressive.
Well I like your Redesigns, but why are you undervaluing Murphybeds and overvaluing the kichen? A Murphybed can be a good investment, and if you ask a handyman or a freelance carpenter, you may get one at the half price or a complette wall (+murphybed) for the price of a store bought one. The kitchen? At the age of nearly 50 I came to the conclusion that the kitchen is the most overestimated room in the modern world. Expensive, additionally you buy lots of accessoires, waste money, and real cooking at home, especially in small appartments, produces smell –> the smell is everywhere and in all clothes. For the money saved and smell avoided you can buy pizzas, cakes, garlic food better outside, where it mosstly tastes better.
started binge viewing
bro shes renting she aint about to demo a wall
My place now is about 30 square meters and it feels very wide and spacious…for one. Gotta be really creative to fit a small family in that space.
What about when the baby is a toddler or older? Where would the child sleep?
I had both a row house with low ceiling and 24sqm inside.the comfort room was already partitions..can you help me to design it in low budget..I’m a overseas worker here in saudi and permanent live in Philippines
I feel so sorry for people who have to live in such tiny apartments.
Interesting design solutions — but I question having the bed so close to the under-window heater. The fixed divider next to the bed limits future flexibility. The plan will be challenged by the realities of child-rearing — how does it accommodate a progressive set of strollers, car seats, high chairs & other bulky equipment?
Well done 👏 👏 👏 👏
Would love to see someone making reality of your designs!
