People! It’s entitled Ballard Designs. What would you expect? Anyway, this video is from 2011. If she still lives there, I’d be surprised. That is likely why she didn’t paint. Plus, some people actually "like" white walls. Is that a sin now. Geez.

just bought Susanna Salk’s ‘detail’ book on line….wanted to check Salk out…bad manners having her heel on the sofa though! The chairs have chintz fabric on them.

I so, so want a home near the water when I retire. But I’m so afraid of flooding.

This is the best video that Susanna has done….I do love all the other homes….but this is the. best by far….It really is homely….and Susanna was so calm…so pretty. It was fun to see Susanna’s home ….she is really in her element.
What a fantastic job she has….

Susanna has learned nothing from the homes she has visited in Quintessence, very disappointing interior.

  21. T Wilde on May 6, 2021 at 3:41 am

What would be interesting for an interior decorator, like SS, to do in 2020, since this is 9 years ago. Redo your house with more contemporary items/looks. I mean a red accent wall — whoa so yesterday! Talk about how times have changed…

  29. De’ Anna VP on May 6, 2021 at 3:51 am

    I love it!

  30. PreethaPaul on May 6, 2021 at 3:51 am

Didn’t like her decor. Too many mismatched pieces can seem like you just threw it all together and let people think because she’s a designer it was actually meticulously planned.
That fire engine red entryway to that ridiculous Red Bar opposite to that ottoman is a bit too much. It all looks way too forced…

This is a really sweet and illustrative video for Ballard Design, and there is nothing wrong with that. Ikat…..the ‘i’ has a long ‘e’ sound. Next time! 🙂

    JEALOUS RANT
Looks like a Nantucket home on the exterior. I love Nantucket (now home for only millionaires), thanks to billionaires, such as Bill Gates, who is said to rarely be there.

There is still a native tribe there – so I’ve heard and they’d be protected from the spiking taxes. People with old money pedigree are so interesting, regardless of their privileged upbringing.

I am so biased toward the New England (Boston Brahmin descendants) and I hope they realize how blessed they are to have the heritage that made the US modern and intellectually heady.

Look forward to watch more from you.

Hi Susanna been thinking what’s ur hse like n there this vid juz pop up! Such a beautiful hme by e lakeside🤩

  49. TruthSeeker on May 6, 2021 at 4:10 am

I felt that her outfit (particularly the white heels and striped turtleneck) was very distracting… The home, too, felt too much like a showroom with very little personality…too flat and not enough layering.

  50. saraw946 on May 6, 2021 at 4:12 am

I love that red bar. What is that piece of furniture originally called and from which era is it? I guess it was repurposed as a bar? Thanks for the info.
