Deceiving title. Most of campgrounds mentioned charge for camping.
Stop at the RV museum… 🙂
BEST FREE RV CAMPING IN MICHIGAN! First Campground mentioned is DNR $35 a night and that’s for Michigan residents! What a misleading title. Thumbs down all the way. What you counting your first night at Walmart "free" camping?

It’s "Hearse", not "hearst".

Never had a hearse park next to us lol…Lake in the Clouds looks gorgeous! We’ve got to get up to the UP and explore. What an amazing Boondocking spot there too!
Someone might have already mentioned this but it’s pronounced Houghton Long "O"

I love the UP. We had family up in calumet. We were up there every summer
I see that your van isn’t insulated on the roof. I also saw all that condensation build up on one of the shots when talking about your flat tire. Pretty quick and cheap fix to that is spraying the inside of your metal exposed roof is spray on truck bed liner. The canadians i saw online that did this said they used Rust-Oleum brand. Your ceiling will be black, but no more condensation.
You’re giving away some of Michigan’s best keep secrets. You may not like it as much when all the folks start showing up because the word is out😀
You can tell that you haven’t been there too long as your not using yooper vernacular yet.
"Ya Youbetcha" 😛
Great info we will definitely have to hit these places next time we’re in the UP
