Shh…. please don’t advertise the Norden! It’s been out of stock forever due to its popularity and *I* want it. 😉

  2. Arif Fau on June 4, 2023 at 1:27 pm

The Billy has been the best! It acts as a shoe rack, a bookshelf, and everything in between!

  3. Libby Neves on June 4, 2023 at 1:29 pm

What are those great looking chairs around your dining table?

  4. Labab on June 4, 2023 at 1:29 pm

I have an armoire from Ikea that I love!!!

  5. Dan F on June 4, 2023 at 1:30 pm

Thanks for the post. We live in a condo in the GTA. Looooove the Hemnes Queen size lift bed with storage, cheap, strong and so worth it.

  6. FreeForLife on June 4, 2023 at 1:30 pm

I want a Norden table, but I’d have to paint it. I think it would make a really cute craft table that could be put away when not in use. I got a HUGE 5 ft. table from beside the dumpster, and it’s just too big for the apartment. I can’t find anywhere to put it where it isn’t too big. A Norden would be just the right size.

I love IKEA, but I don’t want my Town Home to look like it stepped out of an IKEA catalog. Can you recommend furniture retailers which specialize in smaller scale quality sofas and case goods? My style is basically transitional with some oriental accents. Thank you! 🙂

  8. MissDHolliday on June 4, 2023 at 1:32 pm

Vancouver?! I’m from Vancouver Island! Love your channel <3

  9. Tiffany Nichol on June 4, 2023 at 1:35 pm

Do they not have the stocksund anymore?! I was so ready to switch out those legs 😭

  10. Leticia Moran on June 4, 2023 at 1:38 pm

Thank you! I’m going to use the wall shelf and the table. I have so much craft stuff and no room

  11. RobinBird J on June 4, 2023 at 1:40 pm

Love the shelf as side table idea! Also. use a storage side table at the sofa.

  12. anonym93 on June 4, 2023 at 1:40 pm

Lol not me in a small space with the bed in the floor 😂. But I’m lucky and have a ceiling that is high where the bathroom is normal ceiling height so I store ugly not all year items on the bathroom “roof”. My closet also acts as storage above the closet where I have a full IVAR system on top of the closet “roof”

  13. Connie Heil on June 4, 2023 at 1:41 pm

You mentioned that just having the bed on the floor is not Feng shui but I heard recently from another designer that placing storage under the bed also blocks the flow…yep, I really just typed that. What to do?

  14. Neale Von on June 4, 2023 at 1:44 pm

We love your sensible side … Ikea can be Wut? alot … Mumzie We are not really adopting and Mumzie needs staff xo

  15. tiffany curtis on June 4, 2023 at 1:44 pm

    I LOVE THIS GUY🙏🏿

  16. Gustavo Silva on June 4, 2023 at 1:45 pm

My only problem is that the custom legs cost more than the IKEA furniture 😭

  17. Chana Kornfeld on June 4, 2023 at 1:46 pm

Lack is just veneered cardboard. Stay away from them. Put in the Hemnes bookcases next to your bed as night stands.

  18. Ellen Nutters on June 4, 2023 at 1:47 pm

I have the Norden on my boat. Living on a boat makes you think about practicality, aesthetics and multi-functionality. The Norden has it all!

  19. Jodie Lee on June 4, 2023 at 1:47 pm

Sooo glad i found this video… really great ideas and advice! Thankyou!

  20. Anna Latacz on June 4, 2023 at 1:48 pm

If you cannot do any wal mounted stuff I recommend Ivar and their metal cousin. Floating shelves won’t work but Ivar and billy works and is stable enough to provide storage.

  21. JaiNY on June 4, 2023 at 1:49 pm

Who even allows tenets to drill holes for floating wall shelves though..

  22. SnappyNappyDugout on June 4, 2023 at 1:50 pm

Nah, we don’t love Ikea. We tolerate Ikea.

  23. Bruce Mooney on June 4, 2023 at 1:51 pm

Since the pandemic, Ive moved in with my 75 years-old uncle in his tiny one-bedroom (350² feet) apartment. It’s A CHALLENGE.

He’s not the type to ever purchase anything to maximize comfort, storage or æsthetics so it’s all on me. 🙄

  24. Dapper MrJack on June 4, 2023 at 1:51 pm

My partner and I just bought our first home, but that foldable table would be a perfect sewing desk! Thanks for the tip!

  25. Jay Jay on June 4, 2023 at 1:52 pm

The Lack floating shelves for the bathroom is genius! I didn’t know where to put my HomePod! Now I do ☺

  26. Gail Remp on June 4, 2023 at 1:53 pm

So many people like the lack products For lack of a better word. I think they suck…look tacky. They look cheaper than cheap..but must be me. And I love Ikea but I just can’t get into lack anything.

  27. Orion on June 4, 2023 at 1:54 pm

Renters in my country cannot fix anything to the walls. 🫤

  28. Andrew Steavpack on June 4, 2023 at 1:55 pm

My biggest struggle living in apartments has been storing bulky outdoor and sports equipment, bikes, skis, car racks, surfboards etc.

  29. Rhonda Meow Readman on June 4, 2023 at 1:57 pm

I’ve just bought a 1 bedroom condo in Edmonton. I’m moving into it March…YAY It is 840sqft. I do have a separate storage room included though to put my seasonal items , thank goodness. I love your ideas…. And I love IKEA 🌟🤗

  30. Gail Remp on June 4, 2023 at 1:59 pm

I thought under the bed storage cabinets are good. I have six kids I can get six and put them in or tape them up and slide all the cats under the bed. They probably would be really be pissed off but it would be an interesting moment in time

  31. LYDS on June 4, 2023 at 2:00 pm

that bench is 56" wide, a little too wide for me.

  32. Lou ann Huber on June 4, 2023 at 2:03 pm

Small-ish Condos need space saving ideas too.

  33. Ella C on June 4, 2023 at 2:05 pm

Our house is Billy, Kallax and Pax heaven.
I looked into the Stocksund bench, because we have to similar-looking old gray couches with wood…details? edges? but it’s way bigger than I thought and we ain’t got the space. Would have looked good though

  34. Manisha Nayyer on June 4, 2023 at 2:05 pm

Yeah I don’t think Vancouver landlords are okay with drilling into walls, but love the besta cabinets on its own and the real estate logic of the Bedframe, which is so true! I literally look for Bedframe that have space underneath so I can shove those boxes for more storage use! Thanks!

  35. Ioana Aritona Paun on June 4, 2023 at 2:06 pm

I have the lack shelves as bedside tables since 2016 and they are still going strong. Love them! One thing though, they are not best in humid environments like kitchens or bathrooms, as the paint will flake and they will not be so durable. Plus side, they are quite cheap, so you can change them whenever they are no longer in great shape. I also like that they come in different colours, so this is a way of personalizing the space.

  36. susan cook on June 4, 2023 at 2:07 pm

Would you out a mirror at the end of a dining table????

  37. Joanne C. on June 4, 2023 at 2:07 pm

I CAN’T KEEP MY VIBRATOR ON TOP OF A SHELF NEXT TO MY BED, NICK.

  38. Heidi Jakobsen on June 4, 2023 at 2:08 pm

I live in Ikea country and EVERYBOBY have Ikea products. So I love that idea to buy different compliments to make it more unik.

  39. Kate Cole on June 4, 2023 at 2:09 pm

The bench is exactly what I was looking for your irritating entry way

  40. Lit S on June 4, 2023 at 2:09 pm

    What great ideas.

  41. blah on June 4, 2023 at 2:13 pm

Can confirm that the Norden table is great! We’ve used it as a side table for a couch, additional drawers for PC desk and as a console table, depends where you move it (when folded of course). Better go for the wooden one and not the white one, they’re made from different materials. The only downside is the weight of those table ‘wings’ 😅

  42. bette smith on June 4, 2023 at 2:13 pm

A major problem with these things is you have to "assemble" them. For those of us who are "assembly challenged" this is a problem.

  43. tallytumbleweed on June 4, 2023 at 2:14 pm

LACK shelves are not suitable for wet rooms like kitchen or bathrooms…

  44. Ginger Miller on June 4, 2023 at 2:14 pm

I’ve lived in MANY rentals for MANY years and they are all different. Most large complexes don’t allow much, but when you rent from individually owned homes or apartments they are often more lax with what you can do, especially if you seem to be a long-termer.

  45. josh benshoof on June 4, 2023 at 2:15 pm

    Keep the good stuff coming!

  46. Neale Von on June 4, 2023 at 2:17 pm

  48. Angela Mckeown on June 4, 2023 at 2:20 pm

Hi Nick, I just found your channel and I love it! I live in Vancouver too and I’ve had TWO floods from my neighbours and things are still a mess because I’ve broken my ankle then I broke my leg and arm at the same time while having dialysis 😵‍💫 Do you know a good trustworthy professional that could sort my apartment and me out? Lol. Thanks in advance! 😊
