Happy New Year Sara & Alex! Love the channel. We are a family of 4 Do you have any layouts that have separate single beds for kids towards the middle / front of the van away from the adults? Still incorporating space for shower, storage and kitchen. Considering Sprinter 2500 XTD to support this vision.

what app or website do you recommend to plan your van layout?
Step 1: test drive… okay, but doesn’t the weight of the build change the handling characteristics of the van?
I would like to have a Chinese soaking tub and separate seating I don’t want to have to come hurt my seating area until my bed

You could have just made the seats at the back turn into a bad. You have seats that recline all the way. Then you could build a storage compartment on the roof. 🙂
Also, many people have all their towels and toiletries inside a "hanging closet made from cloth" inside their bathroom. This is a lot of space this shower is taking! 🙂
Have you guys thought about expanding to do bus builds.
What is the Price to build Your own, compared to buy a Winnebago/Itasca on a Sprinter Chassis ? Knowing its more Fun do it Yourself if You are Handy enough !

I have been thinking about adding an extra toddler bed behind the driver seat. It will be placed when the seat folds forward. Do you think that would work? The van that I am planning will only be for long trips. I was contemplating that option because I do not want to walk over her in the mornings or to do other tasks.
I agree with the comment below re visuals.. a lot of the video is just looking at your faces while you were talking.. all I wanted was to see more of the van builds while you were talking.

My partner and I are planning to self-build a van on a Peugeot Boxer (equivalent to the Dodge RAM) inspired by your Family design, we appreciate a lot all the videos, and we are planning to purchase your guides for that.
Have you or anyone in the facebook group tried adapting this design to the Dodge RAM chasis?
Would it still apply to get them, or is it best to go on our own?
And also, for the non-American like us (we are from Argentina), have you had experiences of supporting buildouts abroad in your community?
We are very excited of the potential of the vehicle, but also very overwhelmed by the amount of things that you need to consider, will take two months off of work to put them fully in the conversion.

I love van conversions but there so expensive, $15,000 in materials and the rest is labor. I can buy a nice lance for $50,000 fully loaded.(van conversion 70,000 not including the $40,000 van you just bought so your $110,000 investment. Ouch! Nice designs and talent!!!
