Diane lives full-time in a beautiful 2015 Ford Transit that she designed HERSELF! This is a 2015 Ford Transit 250 with a Mid Rise Roof with 600W of tiltable solar AND HEATED FLOORS! This van design includes a fantastic closet, a hidden fridge, a hidden deck, a cute pantry and a hidden garage! Diane owned a closet design company for 20 years, so when she moved into her van, she knew exactly how to organize her space! And WOW….she did an INSPIRATIONAL, PHENOMENAL job on getting it organized. It is cozy, warm and has a super-efficient use of space and great use of her repurposed furniture! We hope Diane has inspired you with SO MANY FANTASTIC IDEAS for storage in your vehicle!

  5. Uriel1816's 'The Junk Drawer' on August 13, 2022 at 3:24 am

Yes, the raised floor with slideout deck is a good addition. Using the sidedoor as storage is a jump from the norm.
    Good interview and presentation.

  6. April Baxter on August 13, 2022 at 3:24 am

Oh, my gosh! That lady is so creative. I love her outside deck and the heated floors, and I really like the little ladder that tucks into the side of her side-garage-space. I didn’t hear if she had a social media channel. I have to go back and check.

  7. Teresa Forsyth on August 13, 2022 at 3:25 am

She seems to sweet….What a great person!!

  8. quotidian on August 13, 2022 at 3:26 am

My husband added heated floors in our cargo trailer/camper. It does help on a chilly day. I love her deck, especially the artwork. Well done.

Love the deck. What a great idea

  14. Maggie FarmerAndMaker on August 13, 2022 at 3:35 am

That walling in the side door is something I would never have thought of but it really opens up many design possibilities doing it that way; if I had to pick one thing that is my favorite because that and raising floor makes the other design elements possible like the garage and deck. Great job and I love the name of her YT channel, Cultivating Life. I’m not sure why but it makes me think of a gardening show I like, Growing a Greener World.

  15. Kala Chandler on August 13, 2022 at 3:38 am

The old furniture was great idea

  16. Dee Oh on August 13, 2022 at 3:40 am

  17. Brent Weeks on August 13, 2022 at 3:41 am

You have to be careful I would get rid of that accordion ladder they will collapse….

  18. Daafy on August 13, 2022 at 3:41 am

  25. Sandra Nelson on August 13, 2022 at 3:47 am

The lovely little deck is fab! With her legless chair, she can lounge like a pirate queen! Just add a big mug of tea……

  26. Al Fries on August 13, 2022 at 3:47 am

Brilliant, but how does she cook? She mentioned she was having an issue with her solar? Perhaps adding another battery? The system was not shown during the video. If it was , perhaps someone might be able to help.

  27. Tanya Johnston on August 13, 2022 at 3:50 am

Love the deck and the cute little dog

  28. Margaret Pulsipher on August 13, 2022 at 3:51 am

The deck! Is my favorite. The solid (door) wall, smart idea. And slim bed for extra floor space.

  29. Denise Thibert on August 13, 2022 at 3:53 am

I love you van my favorite thing was your backpack how amazing that was bon voyage stay safe

  30. yesiownfrodo on August 13, 2022 at 3:53 am

It’s so funny, on bad days I look at this house and imagine "What would I take with me if I were going to leave this place?" I couldn’t live with this much stuff that’s not folded or anything, so I guess I’m not ready for this. The garage was brilliant and well organized. Good job on that and the back deck.

  31. Dirk Tyler on August 13, 2022 at 3:54 am

    What an interesting woman.❤

  32. Kellie Corum on August 13, 2022 at 3:56 am

  36. Saturn Inc on August 13, 2022 at 4:02 am

lovely woman – very nice how she organized things. Love how she had that old case from her grandmother in the van. Also the garage is incredibly spacious! I find it really empowering that you give women (senior women) a place on your channel. It inspires tremendously, it is a tribute to women like Diane here, and it gives poeple HOPE! What a wonderful way to mae this place a better world! Than you botjh very much!! Jason

  37. Bill Donnelly on August 13, 2022 at 4:02 am

  38. sc sc on August 13, 2022 at 4:03 am

I loved it all, because it is unique and organic. The repurposing and how it is incorporated in the layout, makes her home very comfy and cozy. The deck … WOW .. . amazing feature! I have been watching you since 2020, and can say, this is one of my favorite builds. From Denver, CO.

Incredible job Diane & thanx for the tour. Id love to take to the road & live LIFE out there. My kids r grown n honestly have nothing holding me back at this point. I can walk yet have severe hip, lower back pain & neuropathy in my feet ive been neglecting for 4yrs. I see a dr next wk & hope & pray to fix it. Seen your video on the harvesting/nomad work & would love to do that! I will contact them if this works out at the drs appointment. ☺ take good care & enjoy that freedom!!

  43. SeattleGirl on August 13, 2022 at 4:07 am

I get she was once a “closet organizer” but I honestly didn’t see anything organized just seemed like a lot of clutter I’m a true minimalist and this van build and storage just overwhelmed me, but what do I know 🤷🏽‍♀️

  44. Laura Esp on August 13, 2022 at 4:09 am

Overall ambience created with color and furniture ,,so good.

  45. Cherie Dominguez on August 13, 2022 at 4:10 am

  46. MRF Fe on August 13, 2022 at 4:11 am

I love the build, like the pocket for the chair best, followed very close by the deck. The deck colors and her design is beautiful.

  47. Sonja D Long on August 13, 2022 at 4:12 am

I’ve loved this build from the first time I saw it!
    Beautiful ❤️

  48. Janet Koball on August 13, 2022 at 4:12 am

Thanks Bob for having this nice lady on your show. She used a lot of good ideas. See you on the next one.

  49. Adele Bowie on August 13, 2022 at 4:16 am

I am watching and trying to decide how to turn my custom hitop into my home. The rear entry gives me so many ideas, not the typical. That may be updating redo. As my bed is already in as is across the back. Want to use and try and decide, like so many recomend. Keeping heirlooms is a sentimental part of me.

  50. rdwilander on August 13, 2022 at 4:16 am

The deck was very cool and artwork design very beautiful
