Cabelas tour 2020 [The Mother Lode of Camping Gear]

Cabelas tour 2020 [The Mother Lode of Camping Gear]

Cabelas is an amazing store all about the outdoors.
They devoted just a tiny corner in the upstairs of
their store to camping gear, and it’s still HUGE.
Cabelas has a wide variety of camping gear from
beginner to…. $1500 tents. If you want to hike,
hammock camp or RV camp, they have gear suitable
for you. Cabelas has a lot of other fun stuff to
check out. I promise, if you bring the family,
they will have a blast.

My comment didn’t save. So sorry this is a little abbreviated. I loved the smash into the music on your intro. I like all the animals and fish. This place is insane. We rarely go here, but when we do. It is always a good time. "Please, do not put your child in a Yeti!" I think that is even funnier without the visual. 😂 Cast Iron – Get a relative’s that has years of cooking in it already. That is the REAL secret. Happing Camping right back at you. ❤️👍👏 Donovan & Jodi

Bahaha! Lots of dead wildlife. 😂 Yep. I guess they get their stuff from Cabela’s. Not sure about the shower. We tend to go at least 4 days without a shower when primitive camping. It would be like cheating. 😆 Lol. No children in the Yeti. Nicely done. 👍

Purple isn’t my first choice but there are signs of it in our casa. I still have my jetboil from my backpacking days but now it’s in the camper and is used exclusively when boondocking in National Parks to boil coffee water in the early morning. It’s wonderful and highly recommended.

Your wife is purple? You’re like Captain Kirk

  14. Happy Place Camping on February 16, 2022 at 11:41 pm

Some of the wildlife is now… dead LOL. Considering there are wolves and bear, definitely good they weren’t alive lol. Oh I like that camping chair with the little awning. Man that’s a wide variety of cots and sleeping bags. Wow some of those are like the Taj Mahal of tents lol. Um isn’t the one thing a urinal? That little swipe lantern is cool. Loving that outdoor oven!! Now I want that outdoor oven!! I’m not a big fan of cast iron. To me it’s a pain to take care of. My mom did cast iron for a while. Plus they’re so heavy. I don’t want the extra weight. That is one huge Cabelas. I really don’t think the one closest to us has that good of a selection. Now I kind of want to go see LOL Great tour video!

Here’s a fun story about Cabelas in Gainesville, VA. I ordered a firearm online, got the email that I was ready for pickup. Drove 2 hours to the store, handed the guy at the firearms counter my license, he walks away and comes back 15 mins later saying "um, Sir, there’s a problem." The guy LOST MY DRIVERS LICENSE. The entire staff did a search and couldn’t find it. On top of that I couldn’t get my firearm because they couldn’t run the NICS. Next day I went to the DMV, and 7 days later I got my new license. Drove to the store and they rejected me again because my license wasn’t 30 days old. Needless to say I’ll never spend a dime at that trash store again. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Total gas and new license cost was $110. I ended up getting a refund on the firearm and bought it somewhere else but I’ll never get that money back.

You can also use an old Coleman lantern to heat your tent!

  18. Camper Life on February 16, 2022 at 11:56 pm

Cabelas is really cool. I love looking. I tend to look and then buy from the internet for cheaper. If they are close in price though I will grab from the box store. Great store tour. I have not been in a while. Need to go look around again. Hey now that y’all have your setup you should come to Mayberry and meetup with everyone. Marc and Kari from the The Art of RVing and TX are coming. Should be a lot of fun. Anyway great video. Thanks for sharing.
