Hello my friend! Let me show you the beautiful and clear waters this lake has to offer. It’s the beginning of summer and I’m excited to get out on the lake and start paddle boarding again for the season. I’ve had a lot of comments requesting more of my cooking! So today I bring you inside for an delicious, Italian meal and end the adventure with some high mountain, Sierra fishing.

Camping in my F250 truck camper allows me to get nearly anywhere I want to go, off road, campgrounds, high sierras, lakes, oceans and deserts. I want to see them all. Make sure you subscribe and check out my other off road camping adventures.

xoxo

There are very few fish in that lake, especially near shore. I got my scuba cert there and it’s just a sandy boring bottom, I saw almost no life.

Mackinaw (Lake Trout) and Kokanee (Lake Locked Salmon) are about the only prevalent fish in Tahoe. You need a boat and some rigging prepared to catch at 100-200 feet down as they like it cold. Some say their are rainbow trout and others but in all reality their numbers are probably so low and the shoreline so vast you would have to know where they are. Awesome scenery though and that you definitely caught.

Gotta be fish in the water to ever catch one , they sea, and here you coming from across the lake, they be rolling laughs at you , maybe boat with fly fishing rig. I been sent off to "fish" by my 2nd wife with her bf husband, little did I know I was being set up. His code word for cheating was fishing, all useful stuff to no before you pack up to head out

Too many people think if you fish with earth worms you can hook them any old way and they will catch fish any time. Not true when their body temperature gets below 68* they start to become in active and die. Hook them through the clitellum the band closest to the head (about 1/3 the way down the body. Don’t thread the worm just hook it through the clitellum. Only use enough sinker weight to keep the worm down. and use a small bobber and raise or lower the distance of the worm from the bobber and never get the worm too close to the bobber the fish will see it and not be likely to bite. Years ago I went on a wilderness fishing trip to northern Quebec. I was anchored about 50 yards from .the shore and next to a beaver hut i saw some weeds that were moving where all the others were nearly still. I threw a $.50 lure to that area and and the fish hit the lure almost as soon as it hit the water. after reeling him in four times (he kept running back to those weeds) and nearly 50 minutes of battling him I got him in the boat. It was a 42" twelve pound pike. The best fishing gear you have is knowledge…look for habitat, and it can be close to shore and n ot out in the middle of the lake.

Wish you would tell people the harm one can do to the kidney by taking in high amounts of protein and developing a high renal soluload . Too much protein found in everything. Not enough water taken to protect the kidney. Also Hosp. Are notorious for tube feeding hi amounts of protein in geriatric patients

I have made spaghetti before but I’ve used different cheeses on layered pasta, like pepper jack, & shredded cheeses to change for various flavors. Add a salad with vinaigrette to add my veggies, tea & wine. Fishing at Taho, I’d google that first, artificial lures to start, then maybe small minnows, than worms, but I believe the fish are in deeper water & moving very slow because of the temperature, you would of had to get on your paddle board to the deep end and fish near there or that Island if it had a drop off.

So Hannah, are you familiar with the Legend of Lorelei? Lorelei was a beautiful siren who would sit on a large rock jutting out into a shallow part of the Rhein River waiting for her lover to return. Her beauty, however, would lure many sailors to their death on the rocks as they got too close trying for a better look at temptress Lorelei. And now you know ……….

Try using some power bait next time.. cool video and that lake looks awesome the water is beautiful. Maybe you can go to a different lake at a later time and do a catching cook. Where you catch the fish and cook it right there.

Looks like a great experience but I can tell you that you are missing one thing and that is a dog to be you best friend and protector while out on your own! I couldn’t imagine not having my Labrador hanging on my side while doing outdoor activities and camping!!! I’ll rent you mine for a weekend if you’d like as to test the waters prior to committing to a new best friend!
