How did you get the sink hole to concave? My excess water kinda sits there and I have to use a cloth to soak it up. Thanks

Very nice finish look. I wonder how do you coat against rust?

I used a smaller tub like that in our bathroom. I’ve noticed that, after five years, it’s rusting. The bottom is flat so water sits too long. I need to rectify this.

While this looks great you have no overflow drain. I was trying to figure out a way to do this and include an overflow drain so it can’t be overfilled and ruin the counter, floor or whatever. Have you considered this?

Good idea but you better use silcone or tube and tile caulking in the seam in the tub. Tub well rust if you do not seal the tub seam at the bottom.

    Congrats on a nice build!
I’m in the midst of a similar build and had a couple of questions.
    – would it be ok to install and tighten the nut below the wooden top? My plan was to use that to keep the bucket in place.
-if not a good idea, how is the caulking to fix the sink in place holding up for you?
    – i didnt see how you slope the bottom of the sink for drainage, and how you recessed the lip of drain pipe. Was it needed?
    Thanks and great build again!

The water needs a way to get to the drain. Saw somebody place crosshatching of wood around hole underneath then used a malet to bang a baseball into the hole until the sink became a bit more concave so water would go down. This means maybe not making the hole so big to begin with, otherwise, it may endup being too big.
