Furnace uses a lot of propane. We would just run the furnace before bed and when getting up. Or you could use a Mr Heater type portable heater. If you are hooked up on utilities you could augment the furnace with an electric space heater.

Also the house battery runs down pretty quick. Otherwise they are good sturdy basic RVs. Safe travels.

Great video! We are renting one in two weeks (first timers) and I’m super stoked! Two questions for you: 1 – Didn’t you want to wear gloves when draining the tanks? 🤮 Your video is the only one I’ve seen someone not wear them during that time. 2 – How was the fridge? I read in the CruiseAmerica Renter’s Guide that the fridge typically only gets down to the low 60s, which seems pretty useless. Did you have any issues with that? Thanks again!

Hi! Great vid. So I’m confused on something:
When do you use the generator and when do you use the propane? We only get 4 hours I think it is per day to run the generator without enduring more costs upon return. Traveling with 3 adults and 2 children. Staying at campgrounds each night no boondocking for first timers lol. Rented the Large RV. The girls will be on their phones all day when driving (I going to try to keep them occupied doing other things but …) anyway we are going from hot to cold (Florida to Jersey). So what powers what? Generator does what and when will we use it? Same question with the propane. I appreciate the help!

Nice work, Mike. Concise and straightforward – perfect video to build confidence in anyone who wants to give it a try. However, an absolute must for the RV rookie: Use DISPOSABLE GLOVES for all the black and gray tank work. Trust me.

Thank you. Well done. I’d like to know actual space numbers for storage because we’re considering renting an RV to move across the country. Also what if something goes wrong how’s there customer support? How did you compensate for no plug-ins for iPhone or computers and how was internet traveling across country for that matter?

Enjoy your presentation style Mike. Can you get the ads off? They interrupt at the most in opportune moment, like how to hook up at the campsite. Happy trails

What’s the Milage (Miles Per Gallon) you got for the 25ft RV? I have driven the 30Ft ones many times. Got ~10 MPG, maybe due to the units which were given to us were old ones.

You can charge your cell phone while driving. Just bring a cigarette lighter plug from your car with USB. The sockets in the cab are on all the time. Also, if you have an older person with you, bring a step stool. It really helps when getting up into the cab and RV.

RV-ing is the way to go. At least for the foreseeable future. And it is such a great way to travel! Cruise America RVs are very comfortable and practical

  46. Param Dinkar on June 27, 2021 at 3:10 am

Excellent video! Very well put together, could you highlight insurance options and what is being done to sanitize stuff at cruise America if possible?

  47. Sheen Ponte on June 27, 2021 at 3:10 am

Excellent tips! I can’t stand some of the incessant chatter on other videos. Needed the basics!

  48. Jaasiel Sauceda on June 27, 2021 at 3:11 am

Did you run the fridge just on propane? We are renting the same model for 5 days with no hooks up and we’re worried we would run out propane

  49. Cottonmouth 1 on June 27, 2021 at 3:12 am

And can you charge phones up front? on drivers console? Thanks!!!
