Cubicle Makeover | How To Create A Happier And More Productive Workspace | The Home Primp

Is cubicle decor a thing? It certainly is. And it’s your ticket to a happier, more productive work day. This week, in our Youtube video series The Home Primp, Home Editor Alexandra Gater sets out to transform a small, dark and unorganized office cubicle into a bright, happy and healthy workspace. The key is bringing things from home to make it feel comfortable and adding in lots of colour and pattern through accessories like plants, art and light (like, lots of light people!) Alexandra also adds in a diffuser, which is a great way to keep you relaxed throughout the workday. Watch as she transforms this cubicle in the middle of a corporate office into a cozy oasis.

A boob bath mat- uh NOT work appropriate!! Too many little plants, dishes – it was more cluttered after! A carafe if water- gross – office air can get in there

  2. Maurice Powers on December 5, 2021 at 12:09 pm

Yes to the makeover……no to the boob mat!!!

I wish we were allowed to use essential oil diffusers at my new job.

  8. JillyMae89 on December 5, 2021 at 12:16 pm

What the eff… "and of course a boob bath mat"… Of course what?? Where’s the explanation on that one??
How does that water carafe take up any less space than her filter? And it’s open – good for dust and spilling. 🙄🙃

Using all of these ideas for my cubicle. Minus the bath mat

Alexandra I love your coat. It suits you!

  11. Ksbs on December 5, 2021 at 12:25 pm

That mat would get you fired so fast…

    Amazing

  13. lisa evers on December 5, 2021 at 12:25 pm

Is this like a joke, like? I’m not sure what to call this, like…is this like valley girl talk?…or like, what is this with the weird high voice pitches that they like, thrown in…and the little head tilts? like, oh ma god like.

  14. Laticia Cull on December 5, 2021 at 12:25 pm

I have done very similar with Woodprix designs.

  15. doubtfuldreamer on December 5, 2021 at 12:25 pm

At least it’s white. My cubicle is the most depressing grey.

  16. Nicole Langford on December 5, 2021 at 12:26 pm

OH i want those floating shelf things

  17. Nao Hun on December 5, 2021 at 12:26 pm

So many of these items would never be allowed in the office I work in nor would I want a boob mat in my cubicle or anywhere. This is lacking so much common sense. And this is not less than $50.

  18. ChaCha on December 5, 2021 at 12:27 pm

Great ideas! I’ll definitely use some

  19. Jennykayx on December 5, 2021 at 12:27 pm

a BOOB bathmat? for the OFFICE? What are ya’ll smoking?

  20. Strawberry Shortcake on December 5, 2021 at 12:28 pm

Really? A boob mat? Grow up.

  21. MoonEra B. on December 5, 2021 at 12:32 pm

Love all these ideas! For the people complaining about the style…it’s easily customizable. Use your imagination please. Wrapping paper/wall paper and mats come in various designs. Just choose what would fit in your office and be acceptable. Battery operated lights, even fake plants, trays and baskets for holding items, the display box for pens and pencils all very cute ideas that can be easily customized and incorporated. Imagination…🌈

Right when I saw Alexandra my first thought was "**** YES!"

  23. Antiques Restoration on December 5, 2021 at 12:35 pm

Of course the bath mat and profanity-laiden decor are beyond inappropriate, but am I the only one also bothered that the parrot paper was hung sideways? This "primp" was pretty much a failure for me.

  24. Kiara Marie on December 5, 2021 at 12:35 pm

Okay, we get it. The boob mat was extreme for an office. EVERYBODY PLEASE MOVE ON.

The rest of the items were decent for a cubicle setting!

  25. Mitzy Mu on December 5, 2021 at 12:39 pm

Double take, boob bath mat, why? It’s tacky AF girl and not office appropriate. 🤦‍♀️

  26. Tran The Clever on December 5, 2021 at 12:39 pm

Perfect timing! Looking for ideas for my plants. Beautiful project. Quick question…whats the color of the accent wall? 1:27

  27. Angel Dillion on December 5, 2021 at 12:41 pm

All I can think about (besides the random boob mat) is how much dust and gross stuff is getting in her water now. Besides, where did the water filter pitcher even go?

  28. notrabepep on December 5, 2021 at 12:42 pm

I would love to have a scent diffuser in my office, but I have to think of others. This is such a ridiculous makeover, and then there’s the boob mat.

  29. MYOB on December 5, 2021 at 12:43 pm

Love this (except for the boob mat which is a bit weird). Also not sure if I would want to make my workspace look like a living room – you are supposed to work after all, not relax! However I wish we had cubicles at work, absolutely hate the open plan offices we have in the UK.

  30. JenMUA on December 5, 2021 at 12:44 pm

The boobs at work – my HR nightmare lol! This is my first time watching all of these (been following AG – for so long), can’t believe I’ve never seen them!

  32. Sonja Klein on December 5, 2021 at 12:48 pm

I love your replacement idea for the whiteboard. I thought about buying a whiteboard but the bigger ones tend to be quite expensive. Now I know what I’ll be doing instead.

  33. moongw3n on December 5, 2021 at 12:49 pm

Literally it’s just a boob mat y’all calm down

  34. Sarah K on December 5, 2021 at 12:51 pm
