If you want to paint something, chalk paint is very forgiving & will cover most materials (wood, MDF, wicker) really well: & you don’t need primer first.

I love the tshirt idea! My hubby has an old one from when he was a kid that would look great framed. I also thought of drawer liner paper. I’ve picked some up from the dollar store and they are really pretty.

I don’t know if you know Freecycle. It works worldwide. You sign up after choosing your city or town ( you maybe even be able to set up a new group if there isnt one nearby) and you can ask for or offer any kind of items. I’m in the Madrid group and I’ve been given loads of interesting things and been able to give away things I didn’t want anymore or other people had requested. There are these type of local groups also on Facebook. Search for local groups on internet and you might be surprised by the amount you’re going to find. Take care lots of love ❤

  18. Jacqui Baker on January 7, 2021 at 1:33 am

Yes the local tip is actually awesome for finding things 😅glassware for bar carts and chairs in need of an upcycle !!!

Sorry your plant didn’t thrive. You may want to change up your miracle grow liquid feed to the potting soil and repot your plant into a slightly larger planter. So the roots will have more room. Did you happen to use stones in the bottom of your planter? Stones help with drainage and lessen the amount of soil in your pot. If not you may want to look into buying a bag of small pond stones or polished stones. You can get them at your home improvement store.

You are so sweet and pretty. I absolutely love watching everyone of your videos. Some people are so hard to listen to, but your accent and voice is perfect. You are so talented with your hand me downs. I’m a collector of pieces also, so I love watching you make something old, new again. Keep up the good work!!!

Ficus are notorious sulker’s. They drop leaves after any change!Too much, too little water, change of area, draughts etc. They can come back with patience. x

  34. Krista Kenck on January 7, 2021 at 1:47 am

Hermione, your videos are such a joy! I’m a thrift junkie and the #1 thing I am looking forward to when we are released from our indoorness is busting through the doors of thrift shops! In fact, I’m planning a whole road trip to find treasures in all of the tiny towns in my state! Sooooo excited! I am always looking for new upcycling and thrifting tips and tricks, so that type of video is ALWAYS welcomed! 💕

At our local dump we have a massive repurpose store that donates thousands to local programs and saves waste going into the landfill. I have found so much there and repurposed for my home made home.

  38. animeducky9 on January 7, 2021 at 1:50 am

I am such a fiend for "free" wallpaper scraps. My friend and I once spent like an hour in The Range ripping sample pieces to line our drawers and cupboards as we had both just moved house, and then even more samples for craft projects.

Another great one is to order fabric and upholstery samples – I once got a load of different coloured velvet samples from Next!

However, most of my samples have just sat in a corner, taunting me to use them xD

Hi, l love your channel and find your accent/voice so relaxing without all the noisy background music…just wondering is there a reason that you don’t interact with your followers?….as there are always loads of questions that go unanswered and would be a help to people…just curious not a critic…

Hello Hermoine from Arizona! Although I am an older single lady , I feel a kinship with you and l’m inspired by your home tending skills. I am also a big believer in "shuffling" items around… lamps, plants, small furniture, cushions etc.. I refer to it as "shifting the energy" in my little cottage and I often find a new or better place for an object I already own without having to buy something else.
My motto is "create or suffer"… not suffer in the sense of lack, rather suffering by a sense of stagnation… I am happiest when in a creative state. Cheers to you dear girl, keep creating and making the world a lovlier place!

That plant food is a concentrate! That little bit of water should only get a tiny amount. That much concentrate of plant food will kill the plant.
