In 2017 a small YouTuber known as “HandHeldGameFan” was in a bad situation. His wheelchair van had broken down, essentially trapping him at home until repairs were made. However, he didn’t have the money for repairs…So he went out on a limb and asked the few dozen peopled who watched his videos if they would pitch to in to a GoFundMe for the van repairs. One might not expect much to come from this, but what happens was unbelievable. Thanks to the kindness of his fans, the video was shared to reddit which was then pushed to the front page of the site. There was a collective online effort to fix this mans wheelchair van and this is that story.

I did not know this story but thank you for sharing it because his content his right up my alley. I enjoy weird handhelds myself but it’s always nice to see more and he seems very knowledgeable about it.
I’m also disabled myself and I sadly also know all too well how it is to not have the money to get necessary stuff.

OMG, I’ve had a challenging week to say the least and this is the ultimate pick up. The Internet can be such a bitchy place and this was beautiful to see it’s good side. Got a 42 year old man in happy tears, lol.
These events really strike a chord with me. My best friend and indoor pet rooster fell sick last year, and I had nothing to pay for vet bills. I made a post with some pictures of him and people shared it raising 3 thousand dollars, and we were able to get state of the art treatment to his care. He passed away a month after, but seeing that donation pool rapidly go up washed away panic and stress and let me spend his final days with him 24/7. People coming together is really awesome and I’m so happy to see this video and what people did for him.
