Bohemian is such an interesting style. The "real bohemian" looks like where it came from: Roma caravans.
Think: you’re nomadic, you have everything you need in a small space (think RV in modern times) and you have to balance "showing off your wealth" with "you can’t afford to get everything custom made all at once so it matches". You got family heirlooms, things you acquired in your travels, things you replaced when they broke. And LOTS of blankets and pillows because you don’t have the space to store extra cots and chairs for when you’re stationary and want to sprawl out. And your culture is very bright and vibrant, which makes itself obvious in the textiles you wear.
It’s easy to see the connection.

This was so so helpful! I’m redoing our primary bedroom right now from a more traditional style to boho. I keep accidentally leaning towards mcm stuff. I do feel like they sorta overlapped. Cant wait to hit some thrift stores this week! Im glad you said tufted headboards are good because my husband is insistent on keeping our soft, padded headboard. I think I’m just gonna reupholster it with a jewel tones fabric! Thanks again!!

My style leans more towards bohemian but with more neutrals and love pops of black and white all over. I collect lots of art throughout my home, lots of texture everywhere and I have a big jewel toned blue couch in my living room. So I guess I’m a little boho, eclectic and artsy .

But God made a way for us terrible sinners to be reconciled to Him and save us from His wrath. He became human in the person of Jesus Christ. He died on the cross taking our punishment on Himself, dying, and rising from the dead. He paid the debt we owed because of our sin! This i my style usually for whatever reason. Lol in the living space. I tend to like modern in the kitchen and bathroom.
I think what you were trying to explain is that their are more classic ways to style with a specific design style, but most design styles have been modernized, weather it’s through color, minimalism, or materials….
For example, I see a lot of Scandinavian Boho/Modern Boho, which is very different then traditional Boho that’s filled with colors, and textures and super moodiness.
Love this, so many great ideas and happy I have quite allot of odd bits. That wall hanging looks amazing. You could also try it with salt dough, that would give you the rough look and so much cheaper. Now to search my house with my list!!
