Building a Console Table for my entryway has been only my to-do list for a WHILE but I knew I wanted to build over buying one because 1. I would get the exact size, style and color I needed & 2. I could build it for WAY CHEAPER than buying from a store! This table cost me under $40 to build and it’s perfect for the space!

I love the entry table…it is the best one I have seen

    Hi,
The problem that you mentioned in your video, I believe that is not for the way that you take the measure of the piece, I believe that you didn’t take in account the thickness of the saw blade, for example if the thickness of the saw blade is 5 mm and the total long of the piece is 30 cm, you have to cut the piece not in the line that you did, because the long on the piece will be 30 cm less 2.5 mm total 29,75 cm, and the piece will be shorter, I usually make a little mark on the wood with the saw blade teeth, before cut the wood, because sometimes it happen to me, that the total result is 30 cm less 0.5 cm total long 29.5……. and not fit so well….
I love your channel from Madrid! and I love your stile!

    Hi MaCenna!
Hope your holidays went well? Quick question: What type and color of paint did you use for your living room? It’s really pretty 🀩

  6. Sylvia Lynch on February 16, 2021 at 9:50 pm

Love the table and love your videos!!! You may want to invest in a set of countersinks so that you won’t have to use a screwdriver anymore. You can get them at most hardware stores and they’re not expensive.

  7. StephBer1 on February 16, 2021 at 9:50 pm

That table is gorgeous. The trim really sets it off. I would paint the the little wooden tray black or do a half height black base to it to break it from the table. The black matches the black TV in the background and provides a foreground visual link. You are so clever and I’ve asked for a Mitre Saw for Christmas. Yay. Can’t wait to start building things!

When you said β€œnow head up to pick up some wood” I thought β€œI wanna go shopping with you” thinking you weren’t going to put that part on the video! Hahaha

  13. May Adcock on February 16, 2021 at 9:56 pm

Ok, I am obsessed with that table but I would have taken out the plant completely, added the second book and put the small white Christmas tree on top of the black and white books, then taken the tray (cause I doubt you would need all that room for a couple of keys), and put the brass candles in the corner of the tray. But I love the basket idea with the Christmasy blanket, it’s a very subtle way to help bring in christmas!

Great work! Where do you shop for your wood? I am able to get pre cut 2*4 at home depot but for the 2*8’s they don’t come precut and the side edges are round. This makes it hard when I am trying to put two side by side and attach with pocket holes. Thanks!

  30. sarah bird on February 16, 2021 at 10:12 pm

MaCenna…..I think maybe if you measure your side pieces of the trim from the outside edge of the front and back trim and then cut the angle rather than measuring the side pieces from the edge of the table top….does that make sense? xx

Your console table turned out really well. Yes, I do love power tools, but I don’t have any place to store them as I live in an apartment. A very charming but small box.
