DIY ROOM DECOR! Beach Theme Ideas

DIY ROOM DECOR! Beach Theme Ideas

Hey guys! So I decided to do a bit of DIY room decor and give my filming corner a bit of a makeover. I went to Walmart and got a few beach theme ideas. Now I know it’s fall time, but at the moment I am not able to switch out my theme according to the time of year, so I chose a theme based on one of my favorite things. The beach!

I hope you enjoy! ๐Ÿ˜€

All the Items I used were bought at my local Walmart. The price for everything (not including paint) was about $35.

What medium did you add to the green acrilic paint? I listened to it a couple of times, but I still didn’t make out what it was.

You can make the netting on the jar in one piece without sewing it together!!! Plenty of clips on YouTube

  41. Stephanie oconnor on October 18, 2021 at 9:05 am

Looks nice but I think for the amount of work involved to make this, I’ll just pick a decorative net up at the store. It’s not very expensive. Great project though for a person necessarily wanting to make their own for the sake of doing so.

I had made ten of the mason jar’s with the netting for a friends wedding. I put a candle (battery operated) in with the sand and sea shell’s. I saw your hard work and thought I would tell you an easier way that I discovered while making them. I measured my first string to tie around the mason jar, then cut 10 long strings and connected them to my first string. I then tied it around the mason jar and tied it off, then "slid" the 10 strings "evenly" around the jar. Then, I started tying the knots making the netting which will go all the way around the jar. (saving you from sewing the netting at the end at the back of the jar) Once you get to the bottom, you can continue making your knots around the bottom, by making the knots closer together and tighter. Once you get to the center on the bottom, glue, cut and your jar will look amazing and will sit flush on a table. Plus, nobody will know the front from the back of your jar! Then when you wrap the rope around the top of the mason jar and cut the last piece and glue it down, you can glue on a sea shell to cover that up to hide it! I hope that helps, if you need to make more in the future! I love your other crafts too. I havent tried making the huge net, but I think I will give it a whirl now! Thanks!! ๐Ÿ˜Š
