I’m an OD associate, and my store is probably one of the busiest in the state, my managers all were like trump saying this isnt a big deal but then when closing started to happen we got store used masks and gloves for employees, we had some store used hand sanitizers in each person’s pocket. We closed only an hour different to meet the mandate and we were given papers laminated saying that we were essential workers. I wont lie our store isnt the cleanest like other stores around us, but we still see tons of people still who dont understand people went home from covid and wanted desks, chairs, paper, ink, printers, cleaning supplies, and custom printing done. And ws sold out of it all and couldnt keep anything stocked or printing jobs being late. At some point I was 1 of 5 employees at my store and 4 managers. It’s a big store and all our online complaints we yelled about are not enough people or something we cant help like being sold out of things. Being paid $8.50 sucks expessially working next to a bestbuy starting at $15.00. Only if bestbuy would look at my 5 years customer service and 2 years college education in tech application and actually interview me after saying they wouldnt look at my application 3 times I applied. I think would have quit long ago of they actually did look at it. I know both stores like the back of my hand.
Fun fact we also have to get 100% sales to even get a bonus. Not 98 or 99 100%…..

Spent 5 years of my life in CPD and fired over petty shit. Was getting my shit from the breakroom and started arguing with my manager about her awful work ethic(she’d been there a year) and she threatened to call the police on me for being in the breakroom.
Keep in mind that we find illegal ass shit on customer laptops and they don’t report that.
Outside of this I was consistently denied lunch breaks(but management clocked me out for them), and worked overtime for free bc they’d change my clock out.
Under good management, corporates shitiness is manageable. Get yourself an over privileged white lady that does literally nothing at all as a manager and its absolute hell.
Also, no COVID sanitation was implemented and resources weren’t provided
Hi Camelot I’m currently working @ a car dealership as a parts driver an we’ve taken measures to social distance but I yet to receive any gloves hand sanitizer or face mask I had to provide everything my self! All this company’s don’t care about there workers they just care about profits
I work there we have a ton of cleaning supplies and sanitizer but yeah no one else but me seems to clean and we don’t wear gloves now I think shitting on it is bad because like it or not people need these jobs

corporations have not given two shits about employee loyalty for decades now , they no longer view them as people who make the company work and now view them as expendable Labor units, to be cut to boost stock prices or to be sacrificed for the almighty dollar. Generally speaking the only companies that care about their employees are small local owned ones. Corporations only give a shit about their employees when either forced to by law/court order or need a PR boost .

When you talk about office depot im in delivery side delivering to houses desks ink pens chairs yes people home with the virus but yet we deliver to all the homes no extra money no where to get lunches or go to restroom because businesses with rest rooms and serving food are closed no extra pay and not even getting 40 hrs

I work at a warehouse and it’s a lot of shit. Especially when you are a part timer. So when they hired me a year ago they wanted someone for 5:30-10:30 turns out that wasn’t even the actual schedule. It would be from 5:30 until whenever they decided for you to leave. I would offer assistance and sometimes I would get a few more hours in until one day they had told me to stay and so I did (even though that was never part of my job) and I ended up getting off at 6 in the morning. Sometimes they would switch the schedule from 1 or 3 and it was never steady. It took some time to talk to the manager. And by some odd ball they moved me to another manager who was a asshole. There’s lack of communication between managers. My original manager I had spoken to him about it. And by the end he stopped telling me to stay in more. This new manager had the balls to kinda threaten me in boomer to boomer language basically saying he doesn’t care about my school he gives a shit about work. Well I don’t eat fucking boxes or live here so I’m going to fuck off. I’m quitting tomorrow. I can understand why everyone quits on his managing side of the area. You can’t force a part timer to stay when it’s been agreed on the schedule for the interview. It could have been a decent job if it wasn’t for managers trying to force you to stay when you’ve talked to them many times about it. Wouldn’t make any sense for me to clock out and to only clock back in for one hour as this new fuck face says it.
They never have cared about the employees. They allow customers to yell scream and berate at their od employees, never standing or supporting them in anyway.

Things have been pretty crap at OD, I was forced to use all of my vacation and sick days just to have enough to survive. They even took away sales commissions right before the pandemic hit which also blew a huge chunk from my pay. It really is a sh*t show.
I looked online at Office Depot to see if they had a couple items i needed, which they did and i paid for online since i’m in the high risk group. Not even five minutes later i got a text saying my order was ready for pickup. When i drove over there i saw many ppl coming out & going inside which surprised me. I pulled up to the pick up parking space looking around for instructions on how to let them know i was there (that info was NOT online or in their text message). Calling their store # only got me a lame everyday recording. I was stymied at what i was suppose to do. So i ended up walking inside & asking for my order, from an employee who wasn’t wearing a mask or gloves. Told her there was no way to let them know i was outside waiting. She just shrugged her shoulder without a word and ran off. . .What use is the drive up system without any instructions??

This video is true. I got laid off from Office Depot as a manager in 2011. They only care about how much money they can save by hiring other people or changing for the job description so you can no longer work for the company. They’d rather hire two other people rather than pay you your your salary that you earned with working there for many years. The CEOs only care about how much money they get in their parachute clause when the company goes out of business or gets taken over. I lost thousands of dollars with office depot stock because there is no job security at Office Depot. of poor management. I also lost my house and had to go into bankruptcy because I got laid off.

I worked at Office Depot while I was attending college. I graduated and I am now a Registered Radiologic Technologist w/ certified in Fluoroscopy now working at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Hospital.
These employees can not afford to buy food if they are not working. Unemployment only goes so far and if we continue to print money our dollar will have no value.

You want to make profit, simple, treat your employees with love and care, pay them a living wage, and care for them with all your heart. They will come to work safe, happy and healthy. They will do everything for the company because the company does everything for them. And it is because of that love and care that the business will grow, if every one is healthy and happy the costumers will notice. They will come back because the people who work their want to be there.
I worked at an office depot for 2-3 weeks some years back. While there I was threatened for not signing customers for their rewards card without even telling the customer, I had managers get in my face threatening me after they just walked in from smoking, I was told I’d be fired if I didnt make sure I had the coffee pot (I dont even drink coffee) cleaned nightly and coffee wasnt prepped for our gm the next morning, and lastly we found a chair covered in blood on the sales floor and we were told to go while it down and push it back out for sale. After 1.5 weeks in I called out sick and only came back in when my check didnt deposit (for which I came in, got my check, told them I was going back to my car for my doctors note, and I never came back).

I work for Officemax and i so far have loved it. I love working with my coworkers but our GM quit and our DM quit too. The store in the next city over is closing and so they just came to introduce themselves to us and so far they seem really nice, but they ate completely rearranging the store to be more complicated than it is. They should be doing it themselves we spent so much time and effort on making our store look pretty and welcoming. Now i feel like its just utterly going to pieces… i got to work 2pm to 730 tomorrow im only part time but goodnight fellow associates

This video gives me life 😩👌🏼Thank you for making it 🙏🏼 I literally just quit my OD warehouse job after having to work a 15 hour shift and before that working 12+ hours every single fucking week day 🙃 AND they made it mandatory to come in Sunday starting this week. Every single one of my former coworkers are fed up, tired, and give zero fucks. They are risking people’s lives for a couple million to a company that’s eventually going to cease to exist. I worked there for 2 years and made a whole ass 76 cents raise (that I was told to be grateful for 🙂). There was actually a time when I worked there that I cared about my job, gave my best efforts, and actually had fun with my coworkers (which the moment one of our higher bosses saw that we were happy, he fucking slammed that shit down and put more workload on us WITH NO BREAKS). I’m glad I finally left. Sorta felt bad for my manager who was actually very nice but eventually I know OD will replace him like they have 5-6 times in that department. I hope my friends still stuck there will leave soon and get better opportunities!! Gerry suck a dick!!
